Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well yesterday my sinuses were bothering me something terrible. I'm not sure why. I also have been some symptoms that I think are early UTI symptoms. But when I went in for my blood test last week I also had to do a urine test so I am waiting to see if that comes back with anything. We shall see.
I am still waiting for everyone to agree on a day. I think we are into August now. So any weekend day in August now. I think everyone had conflicts July. So please go back on that post and let me know.
Today and tomorrow I have to dress up for work because corporate big wigs are coming to visit. Although, I really don't know why we have to dress up for them. I met them and they are very down to earth. They don't seem like the type that require any pomp and cir****tance in their honor every time they show up. They are from Texas and they are very "country" friendly people (the ladies call everyone honey...the men are still gentlemen to you). I liked them right away. But oh well I guess it might be to show respect...maybe???
Yesterday...I actually went to Goodwill because I only have one pair of dress pants that fit me. So if I have to dress up two days in a row... Well you get the picture. I need more dress pants anyway. I have plenty of jeans and capris now. So time to focus on some dress pants. I have black. So I bought a pair of brown and gray.
Chris came over yesterday after work. I protested, I didn't think it was a good idea. I felt he needed to go straight home and get his rest and not push his luck...but he wasn't going to listen to me. It was his fist day back to work was yesterday. He felt a little tired but he looked much better. We had pizza at work and there so much extra (they always let us bring some home). So I brought home leftovers for Chris...I never brought home stuff before. Why would I...it's the last thing I need.. He inhaled it. ...he always inhales everything I put in front of him.
I have been reading a lot about MS. I bought a couple of books. One about MS in general and one about alternative care. Its about things you can do to manage the symptoms (other than medication) like vitamins, and healthy food and meditation. Stress is a bad thing for them. Chris is in disbelief how info I am inhaling. I just explain that this is just how I am. When faced with a new a situation I like to learn about it and then make out a game plan. I am very analytical that way. He said I am educating him on some things. He is fairly newly diagnosed. I'm glad he doesn't seem mind.
So what are your plans today??? I am going to to work, work out, do laundry.
I have to go get ready for work...see ya laters gators...bye
Happy Thursday to All,
We went to the eye dr. yesterday. Neither Hubert or I need new glasses this year. I guess we are both doing good with the health of our eyes. Then we went to eat. I had broiled cod, soup, stringbeans and cottage cheese. I did bring a doggie box home. I had the cottage cheese for a snack later, and the rest will make a light lunch.
Today, i need to go pick up my work computer, and make sure it is working with the new wiring at the new office.Other then that, I won't be going anywhere. The humidity is 100% at this time.
Connie, I hope the mri tells you what your problem is. I would hate to have to cancel a trip.
Sharon, you will get a job.
Crystal, take good care of your guy.
Dawn and Nancy, how is work coming along? I know both of you just can't wait to get there each morning.
Randy, have you been hiding?
Chicken for dinner tonight.
Hugs,
HI Crystal and my Lovely IL Friends,
I am limping along like I am a cripple. The last 2 days when I worked out I had knee pain. Then yesterday after a bit of walking my knees started aching like the dickens. Huh!?! Whenever the humidity is really bad my knees start to hurt. But this is the worst they have ever been.
I have 2 interviews today and will try not to limp into them :(
Crystal, I think you are very smart to look into alternative medicine treatments for Chris. Recently I have been very intyerested in cupping. It is an amazing therapy. The meds they sometimes take for any disease are worse than the disease itself. It sounds like you and Chris are getting very close. I am so HAPPY for you both.
Lisa, I cannot wait to meet you too. I am looking forward to meeting all of you. Excitement!
Well, my chicks and roosters, I'm off to get ready for my big day.
Blessings to you all.
XOXOXO
Sharon
Happy Friday Eve everyone!
I can smell the weekend coming! Today promises to be a pretty day here. Hope it is the same for you
I went last night to get a pedicure. I had lost half of my big toenail. Not sue how I managed that so I found a very neutral polish where the missing toenail is not noticible,. But when I look at my feet they dont look as nice because the color doesnt stand out. Sigh.
Saturday is Gages graduation party. So we are looking forward to that.
I am really looking forward to the get together. I just hope it is not the weekend of Aug 3 as I wil be out of town. I cant wait to meet Sharon.
Crystal, I am like you when I encounter something new, I read as much as possible on it. I want to know everything about it and what I can do about it. As far as Chris inhaling everything, I thing that is a guys nature. I have not met one guy that doesnt do that.
Lisa and Dawn, I hope you get to your outdoor projects today.
Connie, I am so sorry that you have more openings. That is so scarey. I sure hope that does not spoil your trip!
Sharon, good luck on your interviews.
Randy, you are going to be a master at Python!
Everyone have a great day! .

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Today is my Friday at work. Tomorrow I will work harder than I do here all week. I hope to get the furniture done and my car washed and detailed. I am really hoping to get David to do the car since he worked at a hand car wash for a few months and claims to know how to do it well. I still have mud stuck on one wheel well from when we went camping in June.
We will have some excitement over the next 10 days. Every year, the YMCA has international counselors for about 5 of the 8 weeks. Last year and this year they are from Brazil. We will be hosting two male Brazilian counselors from Olivia's YMCA camp. They are 19 and 20 years old and their host family got called out of town. Since we are already signed up to have a female Apprentice Counselor the first week of August, Camp asked if we would mind. We all talked about it last night and agreed that we could handle it. They are David's age so when they are not at camp with Olivia he can hang with them. I just have to figure out how to feed 3 young men in addition to Liv, Daddy and I.
I got another badge for walking a mile yesterday! The FitBit is working to motivate me to push a little harder.
Lunch is over, so I have to go.
Everyone have a wonderful day!
