Monday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I know I had a long weekend but I want more!!! Is it really Monday. I am going in early today because I have Friday work to do before I can even begin Monday's work. And Monday's are always crazy to begin with. So I am going in to get a head start.
My dinner Saturday went well. I think everyone liked everyone. My dinner was yummy and the dessert was yummy. Unfortunately, Chris has some kind of bug. He is sick. He has been running a fever, has a headache and has been very run down. So he was in for the day. I made sure he rested all day and ate. He was worried about giving it to me...and I told him if it's a virus you were contagious for at least 24 hours before you got sick. So the damage is done...stop worrying about it. If I get sick, I get sick.
Today is just work and working out. How about you guys???
See you all later...have a good day. Stay cool... Bye.
Good Morning Illinois.
I spent most of yesterday outside with the Hubby. We can see the end of the deck work coming. Probably another week or so, I douth if we will be working on it today, with the rain.
Saturday Hubert worked until noon, Then he and the SIL worked on the deck, putting the foundation down for the new part. We then had beef kabobs, corn on the cob, wild rice and watermelon for dinner. They left and we went to the Streator fireworks. Great as usual.
Yesterday, I did take time out to go to the parade, sorta. I stayed on my front porch and watched it, 1 block away. The only thing I saw wrong was that neither one of the local high school bands were playing. The only band in the parade was the one from Pontiac, 25 miles away.
Today I am heading to my Gps, then out to the office to set up my desk for this year. I need to get a couple of keys from my boss too. Since the Streator office moved, my old key doesn't work, and the one from LaSalle I gave to another worker since I wasn't there this past season.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
Good Rainy Monday Everyone!
Why does it have to rain on Mondays? I hate that. It is pouring outside as I type. Such a way to start a week. I am ready to go back to bed. Oh well, at least I got inside before the heavens opened up.
Yesterday, was a busy day. When we got back from getting groceries Rick noticed that the storm door was not closing right. This was right after Smokey decided to open it and go outside for a walk! The hinges are broken on it. I dont know if I can get the hinges replaced or buy a new storm door. I guess they dont last as long as they used to.
Smokey was found about 2 hours later visiting with the neighbors across the street. Apparently he enjoyed himself as he wanted to go back outside this morning! Bad kitty!
This week I have no special plans. This coming weekend we have Gage's graduation party. Other than that, it is life as usual.
Crystal, I hope Chris feels better soon and that you dont catch it.
Lisa, your deck is going to be awesome!
Everyone have a great day!

Hi everyone!
We had a great time in Madison for four days at the National Womens Music Festival. We got to see old friends and meet new folks. There's a great group of women from Indianapolis. If we ever moved there we'd already have a whole group to hang out with! We plan to go visit this fall, but I don't really see us moving anywhere. I'm a mover, but Kay isn't and that's OK.
We also met the singer Laura Love and she is really awesome. I didn't know her music, but we bought a flash drive with everything she has recorded. Our workshop on Long time relationships (Still Together After All These Years) went well and one of the couples was from Janesville and we also plan to get together. We had a lovely meal at Eno Vino where we went on New Year's Eve and enjoyed a dinner at Captain Bill's which is on the lake. I'd go there again.I also took a workshop on writing which I loved. Maybe I'll commit some time to writing. I've always played around with it in my mind. That's why I love this festival as well as the cruises--my mind always gets opened to new ideas and new people. Awesome!
Have a good day even if the rain continues,
Connie

Hi Y'All,
Yesterday was our wedding anniversary and we spent it with another couple who are dear friends of ours. They have a heavenly pool that is 13 feet deep. Thankfully the weather was good and except for the bugginess in the evening it was a picture perfect day. Today not so much.
This morning I was out early doing some volunteer work and now I am off to my therapy appointment.
Today the glass feels 1/2 empty and I hate when I feel that way. I am praying God can reverse that feeling.
Hugs to all my IL pals.
Sharon
Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Just popping in to say, Hello" and let you know I didn't drop off the face of the earth!
Summerfest was fun, then we came home Saturday to a delicious dinner and bon-fire with the neighbors. Yesterday was a birthday party that didn't go quite right, but we had a blast seeing some friends that we have not seen in many, many years!
This morning, I was late into work since I had to stop by the doctor's for a UTI. FUN! At least I have meds now so I should be better soon. The good news is that my eyes are better and I have my contacts back in.
I am excited for another get-together and thank you Crystal for taking the lead.
Gotta go!
Everyone have a lovely day!
