Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Today will be an eventful day. I will be making dinner and Brenda and her family are coming over to meet Chris. It's really the first time someone on my side will be meeting him. I think they will like him...there's no reason not to like him. I already have the chicken in the fridge and ready to go...I just have to pop it in the oven. I do have to make the sides and the rolls. Brenda is bringing the dessert.
I also have to go in for a blood test...yep I am finally going in for that wayyyy over due blood test. No more putting it off. I just can't eat not till 8:30. Which is fine, I don't like to eat too early. Then I have to run to the post office to drop office to mail off Amanda's package. Then I will come home eat and workout. Then I have parm potatoes to make and rolls. That's it...it will be just waiting till 5pm when they show up.
Yesterday I went to get my haircut and love they style my hair...I had a great idea. I am going to have them style my hair for the wedding I am going to later this week. So I asked, how much does it cost for them to style my hair. Only $18!!! Well I am doing it...I made and appointment. I figure I am saving money because I am not getting a pedicure or a manicure.
I forgot to mention that I went to a second hand store the other day and found a still brand new in box coffee maker...$20 (I checked on Amazon and it is $74...so I bought it). I wanted to buy a coffee maker...I don't drink coffee, Chris does. Then I had to buy coffee cups...hahaha!!! I bought those there too. All miss matched all cool. For Chris I found a Pink Floyd cup..he loves it. I also found a cup with owls on it (that one is my favorite) and one with cute little flowers and Amanda had one here already for tea and hot chocolate that has postage stamps all over it. So I now have a set of 4.
So what do you guys have going on today?
See you all later...have a great day...bye.
Good Morning,
Crystal, your coffee mugs sound great. When I irst bought some, years and years ago, I bought all different ones too. Your dinner is sounding great, and I agree, your family will love him.
When I finish with this, I will be getting my dinner ready for tonight too. I love having it all ready to put in on the grill later. It almost seems effortless when you have company, and you want to spend time with them. Not be stuck in the kitchen. Oh, I am also trying a new way to cook corn. I will be wrapping it in bacon, tied with corn husks, and placed on the grill. We will see how it turns out.
Where has everyone been? Please check in!!!
I am going to paint an old pump we have, so it looks better to display. Also an old iron pot that I want to make into a fairy garden. I first have to get some of the rust off both.
Have a great day,
Huggers,
Hello IL Honeys,
I have been incognito because I have been so busy going to all my annual appointments. So far, I am as healthy as a horse. My cardiologist was very impressed with my weight loss in a year.............123 lbs. He was very impressed with my pulse rate. He said it is clear I exercise regularly. He said, "see you next year". Made me smile.
I then saw my gyno who was so impressed with my weight loss and muscles that she asked me to give her my routine so she can try it. HA!
Now I just need to wait for the lab results to come back and get my mammo and bone density test results.
I have been really job hunting. Now a-days that means sitting at your computer and sending out resumes. I spend about 2 hours a day doing this. NOBODY responds...until yesterday. I saw an ad for a manager and read the physician wanted a current head shot with the resume. At first, I thought, this guy must be kidding! Then I decided, what the heck!?! Let's go for it. He responded to my pic and resume by saying, "it would be an honor to meet with you sometime next week." To say I was surprised was an understatement. I was surprised that anyone finally responded....and even more surprised that he responded 10 minutes after I sent him my resume. I did a little research on this dude and he is a plastic surgeon! A dream job! I'll let you know how that goes. Since it is in the loop, it will mean taking a train everyday if I get it. I will admit 123 lbs ago, I would not have had the guts or the stamina to work downtown for a plastic surgeon. Oh life!
Dont have any plans today except to do laundry and clean my bathrooms.
What's on your agenda??????????????????
Hugs,
Sharon
Do you guys remember me? Yep, I've been gone for awhile. Ran into Dawn at Old Navy about 9 months ago. I've been super busy with work and the kiddo! I stay connected with a few of you on FB also. It's been a gorgeous few days! Today I think Maddie and I are going to do a few chores and then go kayaking. Maddie has never been before, so I want to take her on a small lake before we venture anywhere else. I want to try the kayaking tour downtown Chicago. It's so nice to come back to OH! I truly have all of you guys to thank for the support during my journey! A little over five years and I've kept the weight off. Started at 210 and now at 149. I would love to lose about 15 more pounds! Have a fabulous day!!
Kim, you are remembered, It is great that you decided to return. As far as your weight loss, you are doing great. If you do lose the last 15 pounds, great, if you don't, you don't have to prove anything to anyone.
It is so nice to see you again. Crystal is in the planning state of a Meet and Greet, maybe you can make it.
Hugs,
Good Afternoon Everyone
Being off has really messed me up. I am away from the computer and doing other things and then I forget to post! No exciting news, just relaxing and screwing up my schedule.
Today I ran some errands and now I am going to pay some bills. Real exciting!
Crystal, have fun at your dinner tonight.
Lisa, I love your wow moment! Congratulations.
Kim, welcome back!
Sharon, good luck on your job hunt
Everyone have a great weekend!
