Yesterday was so pretty I ended up strolling instead of sitting three times yesterday and got in over two miles for which I am paying this morning.

Got more done with Django than I expected yesterday.  Supposed to go to Wormhole for a sprint tonight.

How about you all?

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning,

I will agree with you Randy, yesterday was a great summer day. I wish we could have may more of those, but we need the heat for the gardens and the pools.

We have yet to get into our pool this summer. For some reason it has stayed cold. Maybe because of this crazy weather. Morgan got in on Sunday, spent less then 15 min. She even admitted it was still to cold for her.

I spent almost all day outside yesterday, visiting with the lady next door, and working on a couple of projects. Then I started bbqing chicken. Tonight, not sure yet,

No real plans for today. I do have to get gas, so I will go out in a bit for that. Also to make a Walmart run.

Hugs,

Lisa

Good Morning Everyone!

Another beautiful day today.  This is my hump day as I am off Thursday and Friday.  I am loving it!

Buffy had a great visit at the vet.  She now weighs a whopping 3 pounds.  Wish I could say the same thing.    She got a shot yesterday and did not like the HUGE needle.   She has been sleeping a lot since then so the visit wiped her out.

Connie, I cant believe you have another fistula.  I am so sorry.  We are going to have to have a long lecture with your body and tell it that it has got to stop making fistulas.   blush

Lisa, you seem to be enjoying your summer.  I am happy for you.

Crystal, you have been busy with Chris.  That is so good.

Sharon, you dont need a job, Enjoy life.

Randy, enjoy this nice weather.

Everyone have a great day!

Good afternoon Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I have been MIA a bit myself.  I read most days but sometimes do not have time to post.

I now have some very, very red/pink eyes.  They had been bugging me a bit for the last week or so but nothing scary.  I accidentally slept in my contacts over the weekend and yesterday morning they felt a bit funny but I didn't really think about it.  By the time I got to work, they were really bothering me and getting very red.  Being that I can't see to work without vision correction, I tried to tough it out since my glasses were at home.  That did not work.  It just got worse and worse until I gave up, took out the contacts and called the doctor.  I now have to wear my glasses for 7 days and use drops 4 times each day.  That's not a big thing, but my glasses are not calibrated for the computer and I am having a hard time seeing.  This too shall pass.

In my frenzy of chandelier making, I blew up my glue gun.  I went to Joannes to get a new one and found all the summer decor was 70% off.  I found some GREAT stuff for the porch that there in no way I would have paid full price for any of it.  It was about worth what I paid.  This makes me think that Joannes is one of those places like Kohl's that always has stuff on "BIG SALE".

Looks like everyone is doing well and enjoying summer so far.  I am loving the temps, but this will also change soon.  We ARE in Northern Illinois, after all......well, at least I am.

Gotta get back to it!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi friends,

I ran a bunch of errands this morning, blocked two shawls, wrapped a baby present and delivered it and visited my friends at the Bookworm. A year ago I couldn't have done 1% of that and two years ago, none. Even dealing with fistulas and slow weight loss, I am so much healthier and stronger, it's like a miracle.

We are going to the National Women's Music Festival in Madison on Thursday till Sunday. Looking forward to all those days in Madison and hanging out with folks we only see once a year. Awesome! I will have some computer access but maybe not a lot of time, so I may not be on. Tomorrow we have our Wednesday breakfast, knitting at the Bookworm followed by a pig roast at the neighbors behind us. Last year we went but I was barely walking in July.

I'm enjoying the cool weather. This is my kind of summer. Hope you are too,

Connie
