SATURDAY ROLL CALL
Good Morning Illinois.
It is time to get uo and get busy. I have no real plans for today, except get stuff started for a BBQ tomorrow. I want to make a key lime pie.It is a summery dish. Plus deviled eggs and potato salad. Maybe a macaroni salad too. I guest I need to add some color too. A fruit salad maybe.
Otherwise, just hanging out today. We will work on the deck after Hubert gets home.
Don't anyone work to hard today. Tomorrow is to be sunny and a bit cooler.
Hugs,
Hi Lisa and my IL Pals,
We were up and out early running errands. Now we are home for a late breakfast that the hubby is getting together. i smell something good.
This weather is so weird. It would be nice if the sun said hello today.
Both of us are not interested in doing much. I guess we have the blahs. I am looking forward to tidying up and then not doing much more.
Steaks on the grill with a big salad is the plan for dinner.
Crystal, they are selling fishing poles at Aldi. I almost got one for my grand-daughter. She loves to fish. But they looked too big for her.
Everyone.......enjoy this day that God has given us.
XOXOXO
Sharon
Hello everyone
I am somewhere in Central Illinois. Not sure where...hahaha!!! It's where Chris's dad likes to go. I got my very own fishing license...how about that. I should take a picture and post it!!! Fishing is a lot of sitting around and talking. It's the guys version of knitting I think...LOL!!!! But I think I'm liking it. Chris's dad is impressed that I baited my own hook (we are using live worms). And Chris said...I never doubted for a moment that she wouldn't. Hahaha...he knows me so well now!!!!
Anyway I got my lessons on how to bait a hook...it was easy. I learned how to cast my line (if I'm saying that right). Now I just have to wait to see if a fish bites because my nxt lesson will be on how to reel one in.
I packed a good lunch for us. They have a small propane grill. So I have hotdogs and brats and all the fixins. Of course chips for the guys. Potato and mac salad. And they don't know it yet but I packed for dinner too. They are talking about going out for dinner. But I made kabobs (why pack up...so I will bring them our later). Of course everything is cold packed. I also have the s'mores for later. Good thing we have a canopy to shelter us from most of the rain. It has only rained only a tiny bit way down here. It keeps looking like it will but nothing is happening. I was smart and brought an extra pair of socks and shoes. I borrowed a pair of Chris's boots. That's the nice things about having big feet ....you can borrow your guy's shoes and they actually fit. Well they are a size too big.
Well I got to get back to the festivities...maybe I will catch something...or maybe not...we shall see.
