Friday Roll Call

Good Friday Morning Everyone!

I was AWOL for a couple of days.  I have had a continuous migraine that does not want to leave.  I still have it.  Ugh!  Hopefully it will decide to go away soon. 

Life is interesting.  Right now we have Ricks granddaughter Cheyanne visiting.  She is 10 years old.  It is fun to have her here.  She will be with us through tomorrow.  Rick picked her up from her other grandparents yesterday.  Smokey is in love with her.  Tomorrow I thought it would be fun to go get pedicures. 

Randy,  I am so glad your granddog is ok.  That can be so scary, 

Sharon, my cats do do head butts and massages.  I just wish I could teach them back massages.     Arms are good but backs would be better.  I hope you get the ant problem solved in the church. 

Lisa, was that a picture of you working on your deck on face book?  If so, wow girl you are looking good!

Connie, I did not know you had plans to go to Ireland.  Where all are you going?  Ireland is on my bucket list.  Some day I am going to get there by hook or crook.

Dawn, I am so sorry about the leak.  That must be a HUGE mess!  I would be stomping up and down mad.    To have to go through all that cleanup.  I am so sorry.  I hope it goes by quickly.

Crystal, what are you and Chris up to this weekend?

Good Morning on this nice blue sunny day,

I will be off shopping in a few. I want to get it done before the heat gets to bad.

We will be working on the deck some more today. Hubert actually told me I have been a big help to him with it. He is not one who gives alot of compliments.

Tonight it will be out to dinner, and SundayMonica and Scott are coming to help with the deck and a bbq.

Nancy, 10 year olds are great. They don't know everything yet.

Connie, you and Kay are so lucky to be able to travel as much as you do. I will join Nancy and say someday.

Dawn, I really feel for you. A mess like that seems it takes forever to clean up.

Randy, when our furry grandbabies are sick, we get the calls too.

Sharon, try Terro in the church too.

Hello this fine Friday morning!

Yes we are going to Ireland and Scotland on a cruise. We are going on the Windsurf which is a five sail motorized sailing yacht which holds 300 travelers. Each place we stop has a castle, a church, a golf course and some kind of whiskey! LOL

We are lucky to be able to travel so much, but it is really all we do. We don't spend money on other big ticket items like TVs (ours is 21") and we just have a budget item for travel. Fortunately we have always been on the same page about this.

Hi Y'all,

After seeing people lining up last night for the Black Hawks celebration today, we decided we would stay away from the city today. My legs are killing me from running a mile in the pool yesterday after aerobics.

Nancy, I am so sorry you are having headaches. It has to be so debilitating. I pop a Zyrtec D and advil and manage to keep head aches at bay. I dont think I have ever had a migraine. Feel better.

The exterminator never showed up yesterday. Hours wasted. I mentioned Terro to the church board, but they nixed me!?!?!?!? It seems they have this contract with this exterminating company who has no showed 2X in the past 2 months. I have to reschedule and he usually makes the 2nd vist after no showing for the first. Ugh.

Weather looks promising for a change.

No idea what today brings.......but enjoy!

Sharon- you are so lucky you don't suffer from migraines.  They run in my family.  All of the females in my family get them, except Amanda...she lucked out. 

Hello everyone

This morning I was lying in bed thinking wow I wonder when my alarm will go off...then I decided to look at my phone and it was 35 minutes past the time I usually wake up...so I the rush was on!!!!  Still got to work early...ya I'm the man!!!

The last 2 days at work I have had to pull old 2011 files for the auditors.  We keep the 2011 stuff in the warehouse and it's not air conditioned.  AND...the stuff is boxed in not in any kind of order.  There is 6 rows of boxes that are the full length of the warehouse and about twice my height.  So it's literally like finding a needle in a hay stack.  I only had 10 documents to pull and it took me 2 days to do it!!!!  So I said to my boss now that I located the boxes with my stuff I put them in a specific spot and then marked them with a day glow marker.  That way if the get moved from my spot I will still see them because they stand out now because I marked them with little green smiley faces!!!!  Hahaha!!!!  My boss laughed and said only you would come up with some weird creative way to make your job easier. 

On the good side they let us go home early for no reason.  That is one reason I love this place....they just send you home (paid of course) and say enjoy your weekend.  Which was great because I was able to run all my errands and get home early before the rain started.  I'm going to be starting my laundry and then call Amanda and workout.  Later Chris is coming over and I'm going to make this banana ice cream...it's made with 4 super ripe bananas and 2 tbs of peanut butter(you can use nutella too).  Any ways it taste like ice cream without all the fat and calories!!!  Yummy!!!!  I can post the full recipe if you are interested.

Weekend plans...we are taking Chris's boys fishing.  Which is great for me because I have never gone fishing before.  This will be new.  Maybe I will love it and it will be a new hobby???  If not I'm bringing a book just in case...hahaha!!!!  Then Sunday we are all going to a car show.  So it's all about spending time with the boys this week.  I bought stuff to make s'mores and hotdogs for the fishing trip.  But I bought good organic hotdogs...LOL!!!  But tonight it's just me and him...and we are having homemade ice cream and watching tv.

Nancy-  The first migraine I ever got I was 18 and it lasted almost a week.  Those continuous migraines are the worse!!!

Now with me every so often my pain medication just stops working and I have to change medication and move on to a new medcation.  It's like my body builds up a tolerance to it.  Maybe that is what's happening to you?  Maybe you need to try a different pain medication.
