Happy Thursday!

When ever I awaken in the middle of the night, I usually pray for whatever comes to mind and fall promptly back asleep. This morning at 2:30am when i awoke, I didn't pray but got up...........whatever for????? Anyway, I am up to my gills in coffee and am feeling a bit bleary eyed today.

This morning I will make my 9am aerobics class and then will go to my annual gyne appointment afterwards. She will not be happy that i did not have a mammo this year or go get the bone density test she insisted i have this time last year....I just never got around to it.......she will not appreciate that answer.

Later this day, I have to do my weekly cleaning of the sanctuary at church and meet the exterminator there. They are having a persistent ant problem.

Nancy, do any of your cats head butt you or give you massages?  Schnorri loves to massage my arms. He is so gentle and sweet. He always ends a massage with a head butt. Pure kitty love. As I type I am getting my morning massage.......

Hoping for a no rain day....we will see.

Blessings my dear ones,

Sharon

Good Morning Sharon and the rest of this great gang,

No real plans for today except to try to some house cleaning. Hubert will not be home until at least 2, so that gives me some time to didg into some stuff. I have my winter quilt in the wash, and I will put the summer one on.(lighthouses)

I met friends for a quick lunch yesterday, I had a cup of chili. It was nice to chit-chat without the guys around. Then we went out for dinner and I had saganotti(?), the greek flaming cheese. They presented it and flamed it at the table. It was good, except they served it with saltines instead of a better cracker. I will fini**** for breakfast this morning, with melba toast.

I try to be in bed by 11:15, and usually sleep until 6 or so. I feel for anyone who can't sleep.

Have a great day,

Hugs,

Spent a good part of the night up and on the phone with my youngest as our grand dog thought a root was a ball.  A neighbor was cleaning out a flower bed and offered them some plants and not sure if they knew when they saw it or could not get it away from him.  So emergency vet charges and worry for a few weeks hopefully as a lot of throwing up last night and only slightly elevated liver levels right now.

See if my brain can do python today.

Hi friends!

I m still so excited about the defeat of DOMA and Prop 8! I have friends all over the country celebrating. We went out last night also because we were so excited. (Check yesterday's post). What a huge deal!

Lisa, we both love good saganaki and it should have good bread with it! When we were in Greece we really enjoyed the food and the way it was prepared.

Today I don't have a lot to do except drop off my prescriptions for the next year. I should start thinking about what I need to take to Ireland since we leave in less than three weeks. I think a raincoat is the most important garment.

have a great day,

Connie

Connie,

I cannot begin to imagine all the feelings of relief and happiness that this must bring you.  This controversy drives me nuts.   I have never seen the problem with a same sex marriage.  If two people love each other and want to commit their life to each other then they should be able to do so and enjoy all the benefits that other married couples enjoy.  I am so happy that we are now seeing laws passed that will legalize this.    It is too bad that we even have to have laws and court fights to do so.

This has been a long time in coming.  I just hope that some day all prejudices are gone and people can live in harmony and respect other's beliefs!  I am very happy for all of the gay and lesbian community.  This has been a struggle for way too long.

Good morning Sharon and the rest of Illinois!

I am very happy for Connie, Kay and all the rest of the country.  Love is love.

I am working today then home to a HUGE MESS.  A couple of evenings ago, I went to get something out from under my kitchen sink and it was wet.  I did not see any other leaks and nothing else seemed wet.  I figured something was spilled.

Tuesday night, Todd got under there for something and EVERYTHING was wet.  He figured it was because when we got a new faucet, the new one did not have a hose and water may have been getting down there that way.

When I got home last night, he was furious.  I guess he fixed what he thought was the problem only to have the valve on the other side of the cabinet start spraying all over!  He turned off the water and was going to get the part today.

This morning, Liv calls me down..........the valve had started spraying again and my kitchen and the laundry room below was flooded.  I found the shut off for the house and we cleaned up the water.  Once it was all cleaned up, Todd noticed that it was STILL leaking.  He found the shut off for the kitchen and turned it off and cleaned some more.

He says he knows how to fix it and will do that tonight.  Tomorrow, I guess I will be cleaning up the mess and taking stuff to the laudromat.

Besides that excitement.......same old stuff.

Gotta get back at it!

Everyone have an awesome day.

Tell someone that you love them!
