Wednesday Roll Call
Happy Hump Day,
This rain is helping all the gardens and lawns out there but, I wi**** would stop for a few days. I feel like I am getting water logged.
Connie, I am confused. Are you taking a spinning class, like with bikes or are you spinning yarn?
Sharon, I hope your shopping with your MIL went well, and you were able to dodge the raindrops.
Yesterday, I did some stuff here in the house, and then got sleepy. I curled up on the recliner and took a 1 1/2 hour nap. I never sleep that long in the afternoon.
Not sure what today will bring except I am going to color my hair here shortly.
Try to stay dry today,
Huggers,
Good Morning Everyone
Another rainy day today. It is getting old fast. Monday we about got blown away. I saw the storm coming in and asked Rick to bring in the cats and he was like WHY? I said just do it. The tent about blew away and they became indoor cats for 24 hours lol until repairs were made. Surprisingly there were no complaints.
Buffy gets cuter every day. She is too funny and is becoming best buds and playmates with Smokey. Lots of laughs.
Randy, if I lived in Chicago I would be out hunting down that Stanley cup. I wish I could walk better and was not allergic to crows. If that was the case I would be in the city on Friday! Go Hawks!
Lisa, I am sorry you keep getting rained out of your yard renovation. That is not fun to have a project and not be able to work on it. We probably will be begging for rain later this summer. You cant please us.
Connie, I get envious of all that you do. I would love to learn to spin. That has always fascinated me. Maybe I will win the lottery some day and be able to retire and do all those things.
Crystal, you never cease to amaze me with all that you do. But for pete's sake, dont go cutting off your fingers!
Dawn, I hope your front porch project is proceeding fast with your furniture renovation. I would opt for the spray painting route. How is it going with David back home?
Sharon, that was so sweet of you to go into the city and take your mother in law shopping. I know you have said she does not always treat you well. You are a very kind lady. You just racked up some big brownie points.
Chris, I know you had to enjoy your Wisconsin get away. Now it is back to the real world -- bah humbug!
Georgie -- Hello! We know you are out there!
Everyone have a great day!
Cat Lady
Spinning with a drop spindle is fairly easy, cheap and portable. There are great videos on youtube and the book "Respect the spindle" is probably available at your library. A beginners spindle is about $15. and I can send you some fiber to try if you are interested.

Rain and darkness........I guess the pool pass i bought was more of a donation to the city of Lockport instead of a pass to swim everyday.......have not been able to use it once this year.
I am off to go swimming at the health club. I love the 9am class,
Lisa, I was so tired and achy yesterday I wanted to nap all day. I was too busy but i slept until 7 this morning........it has to be this weird weather.
My hubby took off and we are going to the parade on Friday. Yippey! I hope it is nice :)
Have a great day everybody!
XOXOXO
Sharon
Hello everyone
We have dogs running around here at work. They are a friendly bunch...one is even a 14 week old mastif. But he is already up to my knees. He is a big cuddly sweetie though. He came up to me sniffed me then turned over on to his back...and wanted me to rub his tummy...hahaha!!!! So today will be fun. They do this here...everyone brings in their dogs.
I did end up doing my groceries yesterday and dying my hair so I don't have to do it today. Every time I dye my hair it gets lighter and lighter...I'm not sure why...I don't bleach it....I'm blond now!!! And I use this new stuff that doesn't have any amonia in it so it's not as harsh on your hair.
I would really like to go to this second hand store I heard about in Lockport...it's across from the post office. I don't know the name but it's supposed to be a great place. Has anyone heard of it?
I really have no plans for today except work and working out.
I see that it's all gloomy...yuck
Well I better get going...see ya later...have a great day
Crystal,
I think you are referring to 2 sisters on 9th Street. It is a couple doors down from Honey Fields restaurant. (one of my faves)
It is a very small 2nd hand store that has some very nice stuff. 2 sisters opened it about 6-8 weeks ago. They have everything very organized. They buy lockers in auctions and put the stuff in their store. They have a huge, gorgeous china cabinet for $290.00 that is awesome.
Enjoy!
Sharon
Good evening folks!
Well I have been excited and "on the moon" all day. Now Kay and I can access each other's Social Security, as well as the other 1100 rights that married couples have on the federal level. We won't have to worry about each other having access to the other's room in the hospital or things like that. We can file taxes together and go through customs together as a family. We never thought we'd experience this in our lifetime when we fell in love 27 plus years ago. I don't see how people loving one another is a threat to anyone, especially when Hollywood stars get married for 72 hours or get married 7-8 times. We went to Social tonight to celebrate and the manager bought us each a drink! Great people there!
For those of you who are supportive of us in this area, we appreciate it!

Connie- I am so very happy for you and others. I can't imagine not having those rights. As someone that grew up with loving people and great role models that were gay and lesbian (my uncle and his partner is gay and my best friend's sister is lesbian) I just never saw it as wrong. Who cares who we love and I'm glad they changed the law to reflect this.
I saw your post before...hope you had fun celebrating!!!!
