Good Morning Friends,

The rain  and thunder woke me up early this morning. I was hoping for a nice morning, so I could get some stuff done ouside, but I guess that won't happen.

Yesterday, I helped pound nails into the new deck again. I wasn't able to help to long, since I was getting pretty hot and sweaty. Hubert finally gave up too, and went into the pool. He said it really wasn't warm enough yet. He is thinking we need a heater for it. I will agree with him. I can't abide water that is cold. I want it tub warm, I know that is to warm for most people, including him.

We did get our chicken grilled before it rained late yesterday afternoon. We have leftovers for tonight. Maybe a califlower and  turnip "mashed potatoe", cassarole to go along.

Have a nice,wet, Monday morning.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

Oh what a busy weekend I had.  On Saturday I went to a demolition derby.  I never went to one before and it was fun to see.  But I dressed for 90 degree weather and but believe it or not by 8pm I was freezing.  So  sat for 2 hours freezing my butt off...that was a little miserable.  It was still good fun...if you like that kind of thing.  We finally got the Fairlane up and running too...so that was fun.  Sunday we went to a BBQ....but I only had the chicken.  It was easy for me to stay away fro the other stuff.  I don't like the "salads" mad with mayo...like potato or macroni salad.  Yuck.  I just had the watermelon.  Yummy.

Today I have my normal Monday craziness which is good because I am tired and I need something to wake me up.  Then after work it's working out and that's it.  How about you guys?

I have to get going and finish getting ready for work.  Have a good day...see ya.

Crystal,  When we had ran carnival food units, we worked the infield concession for demo derbys. I loved them. We may go to one in July, if Hubert can get off work that weekend.

Good Morning Everyone

As the song goes, "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.: Somehow it is hard to get enthusiased about the week when it is pouring out.  But I am out and at work so I will make it a good day.  kiss

Buffy is so cute.  She is getting big but she also has a big temper.  It is too funny.  Last night I was trying to trim her nails and she ended up crying real tears.  I felt so bad.  But she has to learn it has to be done.

The rest of the crew are sure enjoying their catio.  They even stay outside when it is raining.  I hardly get to see them anymore.  They are loving it outside.  They do check in once or twice a day to eat, and use the litter boxes

No special plans for the week other than to enjoy the last week of June.  I cannot believe it is almost July.

Everyone have a great day!

Nancy, we were trying to grill out before we got a small rain yesterday. It does look to be soggy all day today and the rest of the week.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Lisa---I wanna see a picture of your chandelier when it is done.  I paint mine "Oil rubbed bronze".  It looks black, but it is also kind of sparkly.

We had a nice weekend.  Friday, it was pretty rainy, so I stayed inside taking apart the 5 chandeliers I got at the thrift store while watching, "Sophie's Choice".

Saturday evening, David came back home.  He says that he is going to get his act together.  We will see.  Riley decided that she wanted to come over too, so she went with us to a graduation party.  After that, Todd decided that he wanted to attend his 30th class reunion.  I did not go with him since I had promised to spend time with Riley.  He said he had a good time and caught up with some people he had hoped to see.

Yesterday, Riley and I got up bright and early and took advantage of the good weather to start painting the porch furniture.  I got most of the loveseat done, but am seriously thinking of sending it to Todd's work where they have sprayers.  Wicker is hard to paint with a brush.  The loveseat and two chairs are a happy turquoise color "Biscay" and the tables will be a green called "Julip".

Now, back to work for four days.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

After lunch, the neighbor boys came over and we had water fights and slip 'n' slide fun.  Riley fell asleep on her way home.

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning friends!

It sounds like you all had interesting weekends doing projects of all kinds. We had a friend stop by to look at the garden, but otherwise it was a quiet Sunday.

I've been reading a mystery series based on fiber and spinning yarn. The author actually has some helpful tips on spinning in the narrative. It's like killing two birds with one stone for me!

I had fresh mango and raspberries in my cottage cheese for breakfast. That is my summertime treat!

Have a good day1

Well the dull rainy day has turned into a hot sunny day.

I had a late start....I slept until 8 am. I cant believe it. It's been a long time since I have slept in. But we got home late from the in-laws and I was so tired from the busy weekend. The rain helped me to roll over and sleep in this morning. I know i am a lucky girl to be able to do that.

I went to my therapy appointment and have done the laundry and cleaned my kitchen. Now it's time to start dinner.

Enjoy what is left of this hot summer day.

Blessings,

Sharon
