Sunday Roll Call
Yesterday was a lovely day. The concert we went to last night was awesome. I loved Cameo in the 80's and they were the opening act for George Clinton the Funkmaster. The venue in Country Club Hills was so lovely. The night was breezy and perfect.
In the middle of the concert we found out the Hawks won. What a perfect night.
Today we are going to church and then to visit my in-laws. We are going to grill something and just hang out. Tomorrow is my hubby's forced furlough day so we can just take our time coming home later. We are loving the forced furlough days. They are a blessing in spite of lost income.
Enjoy your days dear ones.
Hugs,
Sharon
Good morning,
Yesterday we went out to dinner with a good friend and had a lovely time. Later I spent some time reading. I read the book "Wild" which is about a young woman who walked the Pacific Coast trail. It was interesting, but certainly not something that I would have ever considered in my life Not by a long shot! We are going to discuss the book at book club in August. I'm usually reading the night before not a month in advance.
Kay is buried in her hosta research today. There are hosta leaves on the couch in the computer room so she can identify them.
No real plans for today, as far as I know. Hope you all have a great day!

Pacific coast is beautiful. My brother was said to have seen Disney World one bench at a time. He had a liver transplant and loved Mickey. I can walk more than a Disney bench distance but the damage from PADS still is very mean at night if I overdo it. I could see myself spending a year or two making the entire route one trip. Hmmm, maybe twenty years now that I do the math. A mile every other day?
I see the hosta plants on my strolls. I like those. Not sure why but I was forced to take a lot of botany when my interest was large animal vet med and the lymphatic system.
Happy Sunday Morning,
It sounds like everyone had a great Saturday. I know I enjoyed the day. After my shopping yesterday morning, I came home and when Hubert got home, we worked on the deck. I hammered boards that he had laid, and he worked on the gate to the back yard. Then we came in for supper and so R &R.
Today, I want him to grill chicken for dinner. I need to go get the black paint for my "lamp". So, it will be a full day of stuff. I already did, dryed and put away 2 loads of laundry, changed sheets, and I will pick up the kitchen.
Have a great day,
Huggers,
Hello Everyone
I have been busy getting things done around here. Just got back from the grocery store. Of course we timed it so that it was pouring when we got home to unload the groceries. Figures.
Now it is time to get things put away. Just taking a quick break before I get up to do it. Then I need to straighten out my desk area again. It seems to clutter itself without even trying.
I am glad everyone is having a nice weekend. My weekend was made when the Hawks won last night! Now only one more game to go!
Everyone have a good evening.

I went out to Family Fruit and I was pouring when I came home. A little A/C and water then out to Frank's seafood but by then Cheryl had two big pots of the veggies I got going and I did not get dry until the fifth inning. Always very confusing for me watching the Stros and Cubbies play. I pretty much yell for whoever is behind. Golf sudden death now.
