Six Corners BBQ Fest if it does not rain.  Finished my project.  There are some bonus fun things to do but no credit then still have to do peer evaluations. Rain, rain stay away.

How about y'all?

Good morning!

It does appear to be raining. I was awakened by the family that cuts the grass, trying to get it done before the rain got heavy. Oh well, I guess I didn't need the sleep. It's been a quiet weekend with Kay in Milwaukee for a Hosta convention. Today I will meet my knitting friends and that's about it.

I was released by the eye surgeon yesterday. She is very happy with my eyelid healing and said i didn't need to return. I'm very happy with her work. It looks great and I had no pain, just a little itching. She did an amazing job!

Have a good weekend. I hope Dawn doesn't get her camping totally rained out!

Connie

Hello everyone

Yesterday was a whirlwind of fun.  I didn't have time for anything and just ran from one outing to the next.  First up, work had there Summer horse show.  So instead of going to work, we went to Wayne and watched a horse show.  It's such a wonderous thing watching those horses...they really are beautiful animals.  Then after that I met some friends for mini golfing.  I never went mini golfing before and it was fun.  They had betting cages and I did that too.  By then it was after 9pm and I met Chris for dinner.  So there was my my busy day...from 5am and I didn't get home till after midnight.

I really do have problems with outdoor allergies.  I hadn't noticed it before because I have not spent too much time outside yet.  Well yesterday between the horse show and the mini golfing I was out side ALL day long (except for the car ride to get to Bolingbrook).  By the time I got home my nose was so stuffed and ears so clogged that I was having balance issues.  I kept getting dizzy and losing my balance.  Of course this concerned Chris.  I explained to him what was going on and he seemed to feel more at ease about the situation.  But he wouldn't let me walk unless his arm was firmly holding me.  Then he wouldn't leave my place until I was tucked into bed.  He said that he didn't want me falling and hurting myself.  I took extra allergy meds and I feel better today...but Chris was here bright and early this morning to make sure I didn't need help.  He was on his way to get his boys.

Today I am going over to Chris's and a bunch of the family is going to the zoo today.  It's a Father's Day thing.  It seems I am already being included in family functions now (it's been about 6 weeks that we have been dating now).  Which I admit I really enjoy.  They are a great family.  Then later tonight at 8pm Chris is taking me out for my birthday...its a surprise.

Well I got to get going see you all later..have a good day...bye

Edit- due to weather we are not going to the zoo today...tomorrow.  Today more automotive work...fine with me.

Hi My Dear Ones,

I worked today. For the first time I had to do foreclosure inspections in a senior village. How depressing! Broke my heart.

Tonight we are going to our friends' in the city. They live in Boy's Town off Halsted and Armitage. They are hosting a game night. Everyone has to bring a drink and an hors d'oeuvres. I made mexican corn dip. It is easy and good. 5 minutes and mix, mix mix and you are good to go.

It is hysterical watching 3 cats trying to kill a fly. They finally got him and not they are all sitting in a circle watching it buzz at their feet. Once in a while one, of them smacks it gently with his paw and the others just sit and wait their turn. I LOVE CATS...so entertaining.

Gotta run...........

Enjoy the rest of today.

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello Everyone!

I have been lost for awhile.  Too much going on!  Work has been interesting to say the least.  It is unbelievable.  My supervisor is so clueless.  We had a meeting yesterday -- HR person, center manager,  general manger, me and my supervisor.  It was to "clear the air"  My supervisor spent the entire time denying that anything negative had occurred.  Then she asks how I want to be approached.  When I tried to give examples of what has not worked I was told to quit bringing up the past.  My supervisor is never complimentary and is always belittling to everyone.

We had 2 more people quit this week.  No one likes her attitude, she doesn't know the information that we work on and refused to find out that information.  If you go to her with a question she tells you to look it up!  Very authoritarian attitude.  That came out clearly in our meeting yesterday.  So I think others finally have a clue as to what I have been trying to deal with.

She also delays taking action in getting help when requested and does not follow up on her end.  She is driving me nuts!  She offers no support only criticism  She is my 7th supervisor since I started working there and the only one that has ever treated me or others this way.  I would quit but at my age I cannot get a job elsewhere.

Other than dealing with her on a daily basis, everything else is good.  Buffy is just the cutest thing.  She is now banned from the basement.  Too many hiding places down there.    She may be able to get downstairs but is too small to climb stairs yet.  She is the size of a hand.  She is interacting with the others.  She loves their tails.  Of course that does not thrill the others.  Smokey has tried to play with her as if she were his size but I get scared he will crush her.

Gage is here until Wednesday.  It is good to have him here and to let the guys have their time together.

Crystal, it sounds like you really had fun yesterday.  Hope you have a great day today.  Let us know what your birthday surprise was!

Randy, I was looking at your weight loss so far.  You have been absolutely AMAZING!  You are to be congratulated for all that is lost!

Sharon, I was laughing at your cats catching a fly story.  I can see mine doing the same thing

Lisa, how did you bbq go today.  I hope you were not rained out.

Connie, hope you got a nap in today if you were up early.  I love those afternoon naps.

I hope Dawn is having fun camping.

Everyone have a great evening.
