Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I Have been so busy at work. Lots of over time...they let everyone go home early yesterday. But I couldn't go, I had to finish apply this big payment from Exxon. Well at 6:30...I had to pack it in because they were closing the place down and I didn't have the alarm code. I didn't have the payment balanced...I was off by $36 (the payment was 1.7 million). So it's literally like looking for a needle in a haystack. The problem is they like to pay different amounts then what our invoice states. So I have to go line by line of the remittance and change the amount to match their payment. And when there are 157 lines it can take a long time.
After work I went to Walmart and got some last minute groceries. I can make a basic plain cheesecake. I know the recipe by heart. What I do is take it and tailor make it to the person's tastes. So if a person likes oreos I crunch them up and put them in or if they like turtles...I put caramel, chocolate and nuts in it. I always joke that I can shove anything into a cheesecake. Well with that concept in mind I wanted to make a cheesecake for Chris. He really likes dark chocolate and his favorite candy bar is mounds. So I took my basic recipe and and added a bar of dark chocolate....and took 2 mounds candy bars and cut those up and added them, I also added a handful of coconut flakes...put that in the crust. baked it. I saved a square of the dark chocolate and shaved it on top with sprinkled coconut flakes. It came out delicious!!! Yummy...you really can shove anything into a cheesecake!!!
Today I have to go to the DMV today. My drivers license expires next week and although I could have gone online to renew it, I really need to go and get a new picture. I have had a couple of people say it doesn't look like me. Then I am going to Chris's house we are going to go hiking somewhere...I don't even know where. Then we are going to go back to his house and have a cookout with his family. That is it for my day.
Well I got to go and get my day started...see ya all later...bye..
Good morning!
IT's looking like a beautiful day here. We went to the Farmer's Market last night and had the best couscous I've ever eaten. We also had a falafel which was also great. Then we went to Kortmann's for an art opening. It was a beautiful evening and so nice to be outside and running into friends.
Today is the first day of Worldwide Knit in Public week and I'll be doing my part!
Have a great day!
Connie
