Monday Roll Call
Good Morning People!
Time to wake up and smell the flowers! Or the coffee if that is how you lean. I got sidetracked in posting yesterday and never did get posting. Just commented to Crystal and ended up going to the store.
It was nice to have time off. Now I am back at work. I came back to great news. They are not going to have a special team monitor our calls! It will once again be our supervisors who are not so critical. I love good news on Monday mornings!
Today I go see the orthopedist to see if it is my hip that is giving me so much trouble. I almost hope it is as that is fixable.
It sounds like everyone is being productive lately.
It is going to be sunny but cool the next few days. I am loving it. The cats are really loving their catio. It is too funny. They get really mad when they have to come in at night. This morning they wanted out even more than food.
We have created monsters.
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning!
Well I am off to Madison to have surgery on my eyelids. I hope it goes well and that I can wear my contacts again. I am a bit anxious as the last time I had surgery it turned into an ordeal. Take deep breaths....
I know I have to "stay quiet" for a few weeks. That seems like my normal life, with the addition of two black eyes. We'll see what specifically the doctor says.
That's my Monday and I'll be in Madison over night.

Hello everyone
Yes I was so busy this morning that I just didn't have time this morning to post.
I had a busy day today and even got 2 hours of overtime. I went for a nice walk at lunch. I will going to workout shortly. That will be it for me.
Yesterday I ended up going to a fishing derby. What a weird thing to go to...I was just a spectator though. I have never fished before and I didn't have a fishing license. I am willing to try it out though and see how I like it.
I also ended up talking to Amanda. She and Charles hiked up a glacier...it's always interesting to hear what their new adventure is going to be. I know they are talking about going into the rainforest next. I mean they are doing more in their young lives than most people do in their entire lives. So far they have climbed a mountain, hiked a glacier and planning a trip into the rain forest. She also told me about a scary thing that happened to her. I don't know if you heard about the cabs in Peru. There are criminal people that will slap fake signs on their cars and have phony credentials and call themselves a cab. The problem is sometimes they have more sinister things in mind and tourists end up robbed, beaten and sometimes worse. Well the Peace Corp trained them to spot these guys and what to do if any they find themselves in such a cab. Amanda was coming home and the cab she was in started going a different route. So she started questioning the guy and demanded that he pull over so she can call in his plates. Well the guy got nervous and just left her. Amanda was lucky that she was close to home. My daughter is a smart girl and handled herself awesomely. She wasn't able to get the full license#or she said she would have reported his plate#.
I also decided to tell her about Chris. She asked very few questions (what does he do, live, how old, how old are the kids...thats it). Just the very basics. then said as long as you're happy...I'm happy.
Well I will see guys tomorrow...see ya
Hi OH'ers,
It was a day of cleaning and running errands. The weather over here in the southern burbs of Chi-Town was perfect.
Very lazy this pm so just quickly made some pasta and called it a day.
Looking forward to jus****ching some tv and chillin' now.
My thoughts are with Connie. I'm sure she is ok.
Crystal, I am sorry to hear that Amanda had to deal with the taxi crime. We had a similar problem in Tulum, Mexico about 7 years ago. I'm glad she is ok. I know its hard when our babies are adults and on their opwnand something bad occurs.
Enjoy what is left of today.
Hugs,
Sharon

Prayers for you and your hubby. I have been through this several times. I am so sorry to hear about this. I understand though that your husband is in a field that is in high demand which is a good thing.
I have always felt that when these things happen they happen for a reason. we may not know the reason but often times we come out better than before.
Hang in there!
