Tuesday Roll Call

Well guess what.  I will take a stroll this morning and then listen to some music while I work on this weeks programming assignment.  I finished the tasks yesterday for this week that normally take me until Thursday so I can get out to Groupon for a lunch time meeting today that proves to be of a less technical nature.  It is called How to Hack a Conversation and will be basically about improving conversational techniques to make them more enjoyable for others.

Weather is crazy for June.

I went to bed hot, turned on the whole house fan and woke up at 2 so cold, I finally just bit the bullet and turned the heat on after closing all the windows and still freezing with a wool blanket on me. Crazy weather...crazy me

So my hubby went to work today not knowing what the day brings. He has told me the stories of the terrible mismanagement for months by the board of directors. He even told me of the adult kids of the board who all get a paycheck every week but he has never met/seen any of them in a year! So sad. He told me how the patients languish while the nurses do nothing all day. How the nursing staff abuses the equipment and refuses to follow protocol or policy. How lazy the nurses because the director barely shows up to work each day. My husband has worked in hospitals his entire life and said he felt like this place needed him the most. How many times he prayed over broken equipment he tried to fix with old parts because the hospital could not get credit to buy a new part. Very sad. Wonder what his day will bring?

I just had my coffee and now i am going to start my day.

Sharon, what does your hubby do? What hospital does he work for? I am just being nosy :)

I was asked if I wanted the heat turned back on, I said NO WAY! I will not have heat on in June. But, it was turned on anyway. Hopefully not for to long.

My husband is a biomedical engineer. He fixes big medical equipment like MRI/CT scans and small equipment like pumps and warming beds. He has been doing this for 30 years. He has a degree in engineering. 

He works at Roseland Community Hospital. He lost his job a year ago when Silver Cross dumped his former company (Aramark) and Aramark terminated all the people in that department after 10 years. I think this is a trend so they can hire less experienced people and pay a lot less.

Who knows what the future brings.......God has our back :)

I have a few things to get done today. I need to change the bed and wash the linens. I want to change the quilt to a more summery one, but, with the weather the way it is, I will leave the winter one on.

Of course it cooled off. We opened the pool last week. It was 70' the day we opened it, now it is hovering about 63'. I think this happens every year.

I seen a reciepe for a Zucchini crust pizza. I may try it today. If I do, and its good, I will post it.

I made this recipe from the Chew and it was delish! I cannot eat rice, but I did enjoy it w/o that. Hubby said the spanish rice (step 5)  was fab also.

Hi folks, 

At home again after eye surgery. The doc ran EARLY! When does that happen? So we came back home yesterday afternoon.

I am putting lots of ice on my eyes but Kay says they look like I'm wearing lots of bad makeup. Another day of this ice and I'll be nuts. Too bad it's not hot out!
