Sunday Roll Call
Hi My Friends,
The best part of the shower yesterday was being with my grand-babies. Anneliese, the 5 y/o never left my side and we had a lovely day visiting. My daughter seems to be really coming around. Prayers do work!
It was funny because all the sweet projects I have seen on pinterest over the past few months made an appearance at the shower in one form or another. What a great website.
OK, i heard this morning on the news, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be sunny and gorgeous. WE WILL SEE.
One of the by-products of losing weight is I can wear high heels again. Yippee. I bought some heels years ago that I have never been able to wear that I can not only walk in but run in. I had to run to dodge the rain-drops yesterday. My husband had never seen me in heels until yesterday. He was surprised. He definitely noticed. He also noticed the black lower cut summer dress i was wearing. This weight loss thing is awesome! I guess even grandmas can be sexy sometimes
I'm off to get ready for church. We have nothing planned today which means I will probably just tackle something around the house after we get home later.
Blessings my dear ones,
Sharon
We saw a few people running from the rain yesterday afternoon. I finished my project so we had a late lunch at Hot Woks and Cool Sushi on Michigan then went out the red to Argyle to get some Vietnamese duck and take out. Back on the red to the Sheridan stop which id Irving Park and it was fourteen minutes until the next bus and seven minutes until the rain so we caught a bus going east for a stop. Turned out we could have just stayed on as that was the bus we ended up catching going west. There was a tree that provided some initial cover but we still got a little wet. Everything was busy with Maifest revelers.
Remember it will not work in Internet Explorer.
Good Morning,
Hubby started on the replacement fence yesterday around the backyard. Hewants to enlarge the deck by a few feet as well. The only bad thing is he opened up the yard and I am worried he won't get it closed in fast enough, before the neighborhood kids see the pool (no fence around it.). Hopefully he will be able to do it tpday when he gets home.
Ribs, twice baked potatoes, corn, and a carrot pineapple salad on the agenda for dinner. Hubby doesn't care for ribs, but I do, so today is my turn. Maybe I will make a quinoa salad too. Can you tell, I am wanting to cook today.
Sharon, I envy you that you can wear high heels. I can't remember when I wore them last, it has to be 20 years or more. Enjoy. Your little black dress sounds yummy too.
Crystal, I hope you are feeling better.
Shannon, we have a couple of neighbors that we would like to see move too. The only thing is they own their houses, so it won't happen. I just ignore them as much as possible.
Hugs and enjoy the day. Life is good.
Hello Everyone
Well I am hoping this time everything works for me. I had another posting problem yesterday!!! I have decided before I press post from now I am going to copy and paste my post on a word document that way if OH goes bonkers and loses my post I still have it here.
My sinuses are really kicking my butt. Its all this rain and dampness. I just need it to dry out and stop raining for a bit. I need a break I have an ear infection now from all of this.
Yesterday was nice. As always nothing ever goes as initially planned. I went over to help Chris with his car. His kids were there...and I met his oldest. I admit that made me nervous because kids at 15 can be very testy and I didn't know how he would react to me. Well we really hit it off. But what ended up happening was his mom came over and insisted on taking everyone out to eat. I didn't know how I felt about going out to eat and having her pay for me. Some people don't care about those things but I don't know I am used to taking care of myself and paying my own way. But of course everything turned out great and I was worrying over nothing.
Today I have some house cleaning to do, work out, and run to the store. I am not sure what else I am doing today. I guess I will be telling you guys tomorrow what I did.
I try those Pinterest recipes all of the time with great success. I love that website as well. I am not sure what changed but lately it seems I like to cook. It used to be something I hated and avoided.
Well time to eat breakfast and read the newspaper...have a nice Sunday..bye
Crystal,
Meeting Gage really had me nervous as well. He also was just 15 at the time. It too worked out well. I just love that kid to death but take extra care not to mother him. That is so hard but I know he has one of those. We have a great relationship. I am sure you will too. Thumbs up for how well everything is going for you.

I met my step-son , Michael when he was 11. He terrified me. His way of dealing with me was to ignore me At the time, I was hurt... now I guess I realize he was as terrified of me, as I was of him :)
So my motto is, if they don't disrespect you; you are way ahead of the game.
I love that kid like he grew under my heart for 9 months.
Step kids can be awesome.
Hugs,
Sharon
