Boring.

More work on the Black Jack Mini Project.

This one id not easy and I am using new concepts not just new syntax.  Hoping my gourds skin is still supple enough to hold this.

How about you?

Hello everyone

I swear I posted yesterday and then it was gone...and I didn't have time to repost.

Yesterday was a gloriously busy day at work.  I got overtime and even brought work home with me (worked till 9pm...and yes I will get paid for that).  I will have more overtime today too.  So yeah!!!  I like when I am super busy at work...it makes the day go by really fast.  I also think I am one of those people that just does well when they are under a deadline and fast paces.  I just can't stand when things are slow at work.

I am seeing Chris today after he gets off work today.  We are going to get something sweet at Bakers Square.  I really like their carrot cake.  It's hard to go out so late because it's too late to go out for dinner because we both ate.  So it always has to be something small.

Wlll I really need to get going because I am going in to work extra early today.  So have a wonderful day all...see ya later..bye.

Of all the places....I wound up at Baker's Square today. Havent been there in years. We are going to dinner at a friend's and since there will be 4 couples I thought I'd bring dessert. Your carrot cake note this morning got me thinking.......I wound up with Hawaiian Pie. It is a seasonal pie that ended today. Yummo! Thanks for the idea...even tho that wasnt your intention.

Have fun tonight, dear one.

Hugs,

Sharon

Well I like Bakers Square because they have the half slices you can buy.  Well at least they used to.  I hope they still do.  But I like that because I can order a smaller slice even though I am tempted to get the bigger slice.

Hey Randy and Crystal,

OH must be having issues. There is nothing worse than writing a long hello and having it not process correctly. It has been happening more and more. I wonder if it is because there are so many people using the site. Randy you are the internet  genus...what do you think? Now if i write a long something, I try to remember to copy it before i submit it, just in case I lose it. It's a pain.

Well, while we were in NY, they layed off 75 people at my husband's job. Then the day he returned they fired the entire board of directors. Last night he came home and said he has to take 2 unpaid furlough days a month going forward. Ugh. It is all related to the state of IL being broke.

So after 4 years my K-cup machine is on the fritz. Darn! I decided to get a pour-over until I figure out what I want to do. Boy it makes yummy coffee. My mom made coffee that way when I was a kid.

Going to  Sunrise to get some flowers. That is all that is on my agenda today.

Hope all is well in your corner of IL.

Hugs,

Sharon

It looks to me like OH is concentrating on advertising to those who are obese and not really being very picky about that.  Building environments for those of us who want the post up does not seem to be one of their top priorities and so they likely try to get away with as few resources as they can.

I just got a new VUE by Keurig.  I actually got it for free.  I LOVE it.  I can look to see if I have any more 25% off coupons........

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi folks!

We have a Black and Decker coffee machine that works like a keurig but only cost $20. It also allows you to use your own coffee instead of buying those expensive cuplets. We like Jadabug Roasters which is a local coffee, roasted in Rockford. It's the best we've ever had. You can order it online.

No big plans for today except the downtown Farmer's Market starts tonight. Hope the rain cooperates! We didn't have any damage yesterday but I was wondering about those of you who are south of here. Some of the predictions were pretty bad. Glad I don't live in Kansas or Oklahoma! I did live in OK for two years--too hot for me!

Have a great weekend.

Connie

Good morning all! I feel amazing today. I don't have much planned for the day. It is the last day of school for my girls. One is extremely happy the other is sad. Next year all 6 kids will be in school. I can't believe my youngest are ready for preschool already.

I am getting really bored with what I can eat at this point. Trying to find ways to be creative so that I can make it through the next month before I see the surgeon again and can move on to the soft food stage. So far no complications. I am truly grateful for that.

Starting to look for at least a part time job. I left the job I had in January to care for my 3 children with disabilities. Now that things have settled down, I need to find something. I love being home with them, but it doesn't pay the bills.

We have decided to stay here in the house we are in. The people that are causing the trouble won't stay for long. There have been 3 families in that house since we moved here almost 3 years ago.

Well, I guess I should jump in the shower and get my day started. Have a great day one and all!

Shannon
