Thursday Roll Call
Good Morning,
The sun is shining, but they are calling for rain later today.
I am waiting this morning for the contractor to come, so I can open up Hubert's garage. They are putting new doors and storms on a rental for us today.
We went last night for chinese. It didn't set to well. I told Hubert that that was it. 2 times was enough. I didn't dump, but was uncomfortable.
Nothing exciting today. Just going to pick up the house and try to get some more stuff out for the summer. I heard last night that there is going to be a couple of days with high of only 69. NOT happy with that.

Good morning!
Right now it looks like a beautiful day. I've got some errands to do and then two scarves to block. I have a few calls to make. Generally I love to talk on the phone but at the same time I hate to make calls. Makes no sense to me!
I had a nice day yesterday with my knitting group after being a gone a week. It's a great group of women.
That's about all that is going on here. My eye surgery is Monday. I'll be glad to get it over with!

I am working today, airport this evening then picking up Riley so we can spend the day together tomorrow. We are going to paint furniture if the weather is good then go to see "Epic" tomorrow afternoon. Sounds like a plan to me.......
Lisa----I hope you are doing at least one shake a day? I think it would be very difficult to get enough protein from food alone. I still do one every morning with my vitamins.
Connie----hoping everything goes well with the surgery and you have a very speedy recovery.
Nancy----hope you are enjoying your day(s) off. A mini vacation is divine!
Sharon---I envy you. Todd is a bit of a skinflint and won't turn on the air unless it is over 90. Even then, I sometimes have to sleep down on the couch as it is not turned down enough for the cold air to travel up the stairs in our 100+ year old house. Oh well......better than ice and snow!

I just got back from having breakfast with Jimmi and the gals. He then went off to do hair. I did ask him about that straightening thing the ladies are now doing with their hair. He said it is good on long and short hair and it definitely does something to the shaft of the hair that creates fullness and gets rid of any curliness you might have in the hair. He said the hair is healthier after the treatment. It is expensive but apparently worth it if you want smooth healthy hair. He stressed you have to go to someone *****ally knows what they are doing. I asked him for references and they were all on the north side of Chi-town.
When I was a kid I had curly hair I hated. Now i have stick straight hair. I guess our hair goes thru a metamorphosis as we age, just like everything else.
Today I have a funeral in Morris and then I have a meeting at church from 6:45p-8p. I have volunteers coming out to help me clean the church. Hope i get a couple more than none :)
It is hot and muggy out there. It does look like it is going to rain. Ugh. Can the ground hold any more?
Connie, what kind of surgery?
Lisa, enjoy whatever you can munch on..........i hate protein shakes probably because they were my existence for 2 out of 3 meals for 9 months last year. If I never have another, I will be happy.
Dawn, I keep the air on 74 degrees. I recall when i was going thru menopause and weighed 100 lbs more, I used to have the air on 68. Everyone froze. I, on the other hand, was practically nude and still sweating like a beast. I sure do not miss those days.
Randy, black jack the card game? on the computer or with friends?
