'Morning. Not much on my agenda but to make some jewelry today. I bought some stuff from the two beading stores in Galena and want to get them done. I am learning new techniques and it is fun to expand my horizons.

Hello everyone

Another cool day today.  I would love a nice warm day...I guess I will have to wait a couple of days for the weather I want.

Well yesterday's day with Chris was interesting, but in a good way.  Things really didn't go as planned.  We were at his house in the garage working on the car.  When all of the sudden there's a knock on the garage door???  It was his mom!!!!  With his sister and cousin and aunt and his 2 kids...WTF!!!  The whole freaking family!!!  So yep on the 3rd date I accidentally had to meet a great portion of his family...LOL!!!  At first I was mortified...well because it was wayyy too soon.  And because I was dressed in messy clothes to mess around in garage.  Chris said not to worry they are used to that.  Then they ended up staying and they BBQed and we had lunch.  In the end I was really comfortable with them and they are really nice people.  In the end it made me like Chris even more.  I still have to tell him about my family....I kind of hinted about it. 

Today I am making dishwasher soap and laundry detergent, cleaning and working out.  And I am making dinner for me and Chris.  That is it for me today.  I am so glad it's a 3 day weekend...I have a whole another day to do stuff!!!

I think your chance encounter with Chris's family was perfect. They saw you just the way you really are - down to earth and being yourself. I perfer casual encounters rather than stuffy, gussied up affairs.

We got home last night from ***** Cana after an amazing trip. We met such a spectacular group of women and had some life changing experiences with them. Neither Kay nor I can quite process everything that happened. I'm glad we can talk to each other about it because I don't know how to express the profoundness to someone who wasn't there. Besides the Club Med was beautiful, the food was excellent, the entertainment wonderful too. I even got a bit of a tan which is generally impossible for me.

I met a couple from New jersey who seemed very familiar and we thought we knew each other but couldn't figure out the connection. The next day we realized it was from the GLBT board on OH! We'd be in frequent contact 5 years ago when we first had surgeries. What a small world!

Back to reality. We are going to Social for brunch and back to O'Hare to pick up our Global Acess certifications so we can go through the short security lines around the world. Yeah!

I had a heck of a time getting on this morning. I finally had to  come in as a new member.

Our roadtrip yesterday, was wet, but we had fun.

We ended up going to Galena, instead of the Amana's or Madison. I was able to walk the whole downtown district, where if I was still on the beta blocker, I wouldn't of been able to do.

Shannon, I am glad you found a house.

Sharon, I am glad you had a great time in N.Y.

Crystal, It sounds like everything is going good for you. Now you don't have to dread meeting his family, since you already did.

Christine, I went to the bead shops too. enjoyed them.

Connie, nice that you are home.

Lisa, I would contact OH and tell them the problem you have had with getting on and needing to create a new profile. They can look into it and then they can hopefully fix the problem and let you get back on as your old profile.

I really love both of the bead shops. Trish (Rustic River) and Jan (Galena Beads) are great ladies. Both have some great merchandise.

Afternoon Everyone!

I am playing lazy today.  It has been a quiet weekend so far.  Rick took Gage home yesterday as he had plan for last night.  We will see him Friday for his graduation.  

I have been relaxing with the cats and giving each of them individual attention.  I too am glad that we have another day off tomorrow.  If fact it will be a short work week for me.  I work Tuesday and Wednesday and  then I am off on Thursday and Friday.  What a deal!  Two long weekends in a row.  

Sharon, I am glad you had a good time on your trip.  It sounds like you had fun.  

Connie, your vacation sounds like it was delightful as well.  

Crystal, you can breathe a sigh of relief for having got passed "meeting the family"  I think the surprise way may have been best.

Hi Everyone,

I love it when the hubby has a 3 day weekend. It makes Sundays just go at a slower pace somehow.

After church today,  I met my cousin in Schaumburg for lunch. She is here for 3 days only and it was a challenge to get together but thankfully we got to spend about 4 hrs together. We grew up together but when she left for college she never came back to IL. She lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Crystal, what a perfect way to meet a guy's family. No stress beforehand. Awesome.

Connie, it sounds like you had a magnificent time on your vaca. Cheers!

I am so disgusted with my bathroom issues. I hate CONSTIPATION. I never had this problem before the surgery. Now I live wondering when and if I will go. I HATE IT. Has anyone else had this prob since surgery?

I am going to take a hot shower to get warm....I feel like summer is never going to come.........
