Saturday Roll Call
Happy week-end!
Dave wants to stap at the Legion in Roselle before we make a Costco run and then after that we serve food at the Creek. The Legion story is that he joined the group there called The Sons of the American Legion or SOL. His dad was discharged Army so Dave can join the Legion also. Nice service organization for him to serve at and I will say a great group of down to earth people that are members. The SOL participates at the Rose Parade in Roselle every year and Dave wants to be a part of that. A few things from Costco that we need like eggs and cottage cheese plus I am sure I will find something "I just have to have". The perishable things can go in the Creek's fridge until we leave.
That is about it. Other than the local Memorial Day parade on Monday, laundry sometime this week-end and other chores.
What is happening in your corner of IL?

PS I found out what was the story on the two older PCs we have and why I could not get them up and running on the new router - their internal wireless cards are too old to recognize the router. This router is what is called a N series and this new router does not "play well in the sand box" with older wireless PC cards. Minor problem solved in that I just had to purchase external wireless cards for each, right at $10 a piece. Easy fix.

Hello My Dear Ones,
It is lovely to be home. The trip was pure bliss but the best part was coming home and sleeping in our bed.
Today I will be unpacking, washing clothes, and getting back into the swing of things.
In NY, after the graduation, we went to a dinner party at the house of the rugby coach with the families of the men who graduated. It was so fun. We sat around and told embarrassing stories of our kids, but then we had pay-back and they told embarrassing stories about us. It was so fun. Michael (our son) is staying in New York because he has a job,. So we moved him from the dorm to his new apartment. A one bedroom, 5th floor walk-up that he is sharing with 2 other guys. He is starting this new exciting life and i cannot believe the little boy I used to cajole to talk to me is now a beautiful man. Time flies.
OK, I am officially a cat lady like Nancy.......I seriously missed my cats while I was away. My daughter and a neighbor looked in daily to make sure they were fed and Suki walked. The relationship with Katie has been improving. I pray it continues. It is all I ever wanted.
The best news is I managed to lose 5 lbs the week I was away. My plan was to swim daily at the pool....that never happened. But we did walk some. Crystal, I know a little trip to NY would have not stood in the way of your working out. Woman, you are fierce!
Ok Gang, what is your Saturday like today????????
Blessings and Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
Yesterday was a good day. Work let us go home at noon and of course we get the whole day paid!!! But it was kind of a throw awy day anyway. We were having fun joking around. After work me and Olga decided to go for our lunch time walk any way. So that was nice because we didn't have to worry about rushing back to work. Then I went and ran my errands. Of course I had my Chipolte for dinner. Then I met Chris after he got off work...we talked for a couple of hours.
I also went to my doctor's appointment. First off, I only lost 2 lbs. Oh well, at least I'm still losing after 4+ years with my band. Not many people can say that. I also talked to him about my migraine meds. He talked me into trying something called Frovo. I did bring up Relpax but he thought the Frovo would be better for me. So I will be taking the Frovo and Diflonec together. He likes to combine meds. He said Frovo is a strong pain reliever. And of course I continue the Topamax. I also finally remember to ask about my blood tests. So he ordered a complete work up. I will go next week.
Today, I am spending the day with Chris. When I say the day...I mean the whole day. I am going to his house at 10. We are going to finsh working on his car. He is showing me all kinds of things with engines and stuff. Then after that we are going out for dinner and then to a comedy club. Things seem to be going to really well...we talk on the phone a lot. I am still hesitant to believe its going any where. I am afraid to be too optimistic and then I get crushed. I knwo that is a bad attitude but I can't help it.
Well have a good day all...bye
