Monday Memorial Day Roll Call
Morning - we just returned from the parade here in town and it just got in under the wire of some rain. I do not think that the service and picnic will fare as well. I really cannot remember a Memorial Day with these cool temps. It sometimes is cool and rainy but not 50 degrees like it is now. I saw people with flip flops, sandals, shorts, sun dresses. BBBRRRR not for me. I have a tee shirt, sweat shirt, jeans, heavy socks and had a heavier lined rain coat on. I am happy that I had the coat on as it kept me from getting wet and then chilled. I told Dave we needed to drive somewhere so we could turn the heater on in the car and warm up. Dave got to wear his Sons of the American Legion hat to the parade and he was in seventh heaven.
Drying some bath rugs at the time and then I am off to put together some necklaces that I have drawn out on paper with some of the beads I bought in Galena. I think a nap might be in order later on today.

Hello everyone
I agree with the weather...very cool. I am wearing capris...but I am also wearing a sweatshirt and gym shoes. I guess I am just not willing to give up my capris!!! But I am warm enough.
I had a good day yesterday. I made dinner for Chris and we spent the evening together. I tried this new recipe I found on Pinterest for crock pot pot roast made with coke, bacon, onion soup mix and mushroom soup. It turned out well. I think things are going well. I told him about my family. He seemed fine with it. He said he was impressed how strong I am to have gone through all that and still be such a happy person. We spent the evening watching old Twilight Zone episodes. It turns out we both love the show. I agree now the way I met Chris's family was perfect but at the time I was terrified..hahaha. I still have to meet his dad...he's out of town. And his brother and oldest son..which I guess they were just busy. Otherwise, I met everyone...of importance. His family actually is the kind of family I wish I had. Warm and kind....joking with each other.
Today I am having a laid back day. Nothing going on at all...funny how that should be relaxing but I am bored. I will do some cleaning up around here and workout. That's it for me.
Sharon- The constipation thing I have had issues with that to and I hate taking medicine for it because I am so afraid I will be come depedent on it. No joke, my mother was a laxative junkie and she couldn't go without it. I am afraid to end up like her. So I do things like take fiber supplements everyday. Eat fruit and stay hydrated. And when it's really bad...I make a smoothie with prunes (I hate prunes so I hide them in smoothies) I make it with prunes, bananas, pears. I will snack on nuts and grapes I also heard peppermint is good for constipation...I haven't tried anything with this yet...but will someday. And of course exercise...but I know you do that. Stay away from dairy, fried foods, sugary foods...these promote constipation.
Well I got to get going and get on with my workout have a wonderful day...see you all later
