Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I had a nice Sunday.  It started early.  I went to breakfast at a place in Downers Grove called The Baked Apple Breakfast.  It was good.  Then while I was out that way I drove over to Whole Foods and bought some fruit.  Then I went to Chris's house and spent the afternoon there.  We had fun...turns out we like the same music too.  So it's a lot of muscle work to tear an engine apart.  I told him I might workout but I have no upper body strength...I hate to disappoint.  But I enjoyed myself.  We did have to cut the afternoon short because he had this concert to go to for his son.  But that is fine...I would rather that than if he was a dead beat dad like Amanda's...I couldn't like or respect a guy like that and I would have to dump him.  Plus I needed to get home and workout.

When I went to workout I found the clubhouse had no AC!!!!  I thought well I will do what I can.  I lasted 40 minutes.  I usually do 60.  I was such a sweaty mess (more than usual).  What I have been doing is a double workout on the weekends but after the migraine yesterday and no AC I just decided to play it safe and not do the second half of my workout.

I can't believe that it's Memorial Day weekend next weekend.  A big group of my friends are going camping.  I decided not to go.  I have no camping gear...it would have cost a fortune to by a tent and a bag and a mattress (I'm not sleeping on the ground!!!).  They were talking about it at breakfast yesterday and I thought, wow that's this weekend!!!  There was a time when I knew exactly when a 3 day weekend was coming up...I was counting down the days and looking forward to them.  So I guess you can tell I like my job!!!

Today is like any other Monday...my busy day and going in extra early.  Then working out.  That's it for me.  How about you guys??

Well I got to get ready now...enjoy this nice hot weather!!!  See ya later...bye.

Good Morning,

Crystal, it is nice to see you enjoyed yourself yeasterday. We used to camp, until I decided it was more fun at a Holiday Inn. All i have to do is pack clothes and a few snacks instead of cleaning gear, cooking meals and cleaning everything when we got home.

Today I will be going to Bloomington for a Mother/Daughter tea for Rainbow. Morgan invites me every year. I don't know what if anything I will be able to eat, but it will be fun anyway.

I am going to call my heart dr. today. I think i am reacting to the new beta=blocker that they gave me. I seem to be extra tired all the time. At first, I thought ok, I just had surgery, it takes a lot out of you, I will be ok in a week or so. But, I am still that way. I can dust a room or two, and then its sit down and rest. Plant a planter, come in and rest. Go to the store, and need a nap before I put stuff away. Anyway, that is one of the side effects of this med. Another is feeling cold.

It looks like it could get nasty later today. The forcast is showers and thunderstorms after 4. Just about the time I will be leaving.

Have a great day,

Hugs,

Lisa

Notify me when someone replies to my post does not work for me any more for months now.  Even when I start the days posts.

I like to mozie, dawdle, stroll, linger, swing in a hammock, rock in a huge rocker on a porch, tread water and do a dead man's float.  I am hoping the change in my abdomen has gotten rid of what felt like a beach ball when swimming.

I do not know anyone that does security attacks for a living in my current group.  I have known some in the past who designed protection systems.  The groups I am hanging out with now are into sharing so anyone that steals from them has to be pretty stupid.  It does still happen though.  My favorite professor recently went on a rampage because some jerk tried to act like his work belonged to them.

I guess I will be playing pong today but it will be less fun than usual as I will be playing my peer's pong games to grade them.  I think it will be three weeks from now when I get to make my next attempt at learning OO syntax.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I was MIA over the last four days.

Todd decided Wednesday night that we both needed to take Thursday of to paint the pillars on the porch.  He wanted me to switch my Thursday for Friday but I had commitments to keep on Friday.  I used a vacation day and we had a great time.  The weather was perfect for painting and lots of neighbors stopped by to inquire about the project.  We then had a late lunch with friends before coming home and I worked on the porch furniture some more.  I have two pieces cleaned, repaired and ready to paint.  Only three more to go.  I think I am going to look into borrowing a sprayer......

Friday, I went to my appointments and the thrift store to see what I could find for the 60's party on Saturday.  There is a pic on Facebook of what I came up with.  Todd was Andy Griffith........trick was, he shaved his beard and wore a wig so many people did not recognize him.  It has been over 20 years since he last shaved his facial hair completely.  He looks like David under there!

Yesterday, we just chilled.

I am back to work today feeling refreshed and relaxed with a new attitude.  So, Nancy----maybe the long weekend will do the same for you.

I am having Riley the next two Fridays and the little shop across the street from my house has agreed to sell my products.  So, all in all feeling more positive.

Someone asked when Liv graduates-----not until next year.  She is just a very prepared young lady.  We still have to go check out schools in Florida once she is done for this year.

Gotta get back at it.  You all heve a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am home today.  We are still trying to get my Uverse phone figured out. The life alert  system went  off  at  2:30 this morning and  I never got back  to sleep.  3 hours of sleep and making nice to customers does not mix.  So I called in and went back to bed and finally fell back to sleep.  After the umpteenth call to AT & T  we may have the problem figured out.  I have a fax machine that connects to my phone line and we are thinking that may be the problem.  They are sending a tech out to rehook up everything as whoever installed this system did it running through the fax machine,.  So much for the "expert installation"  Needless to say I want this solved yesterday!

So I am relaxing today and may go for another nap.

Dawn, your porch sounds delightful.  You will have to post pictures.

Lisa, I am sorry you are so tired.  I was too after surgery.  It lasted about 6 weeks.  I think I took a nap every day.  Hopefully it is just your meds but give yourself a break, it still could be the surgery.

Crystal, I am glad you had fun yesterday.  I would be caught short on camping as well.  My idea of camping is a bed and a bathtub at the local Holiday Inn.  Somehow campgrounds dont provide that service!    Our family did not camp growing up.  Although I have camped and survived it.  I want the bed.

Everyone have a great day!
