Saturday Roll Call
Good Morning Friends,
Imagine my surprise when my boss called last night begging me to work today. He was in a pickle and I could tell he was desperate, so I agreed to do 70 foreclosures today. I am starting at 6am and hope to be done in time for a quick stop at my grand daughter's end of school year family picnic.
It sure is fun to go clothes shopping when everything either fits or is too big. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yesterday I was desperate to find a pair of white capris (havent worn white anything in 30 years) I decided to try Marshall's in Downer's Grove since it is right off I 355 and I am also right off I355. I looked thru their clearance and found an entire summer wardrobe for a rock-bottom price. I got my white capris and they are so cute. I have gone down another size.
Last night we went to Thayer's for dinner in Joliet. We had a blast and closed the place. Since I had to work I couldn't keep my schedules hair appointment this morning and was able to get my hair cut and colored late yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness my best friend is my hair-dresser. When I called Jimmi in desperation, his response was....."You cant go to New York with grey roots for goodness sakes. Come right in"
I'm off to start my day.
Have a wonderful Saturday my dear ones.
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
Yesterday at work went by soooo slowly. Both of the girls I hang out with took the day off, so that right there made the day a little boring. Then people kept leaving through out the day. I don't know why, but by the end of the day there was only a handful of us left. It was a slow, quiet and gray day. I was bored. I would think...hmmm, 40 minutes must have past and I would look at the clock and only 10 minutes past...and that was how my work day went.
Well I really had a nice evening. Chris is a very nice guy. But I don't want to get ahead of myself and of course you notice I never mentioned this on Facebook. I just don't want this to be common knowledge until I know things are going well, so only you guys and Brenda knows. We had a nice meal and nice conversation and nice laughs. He is also very much a gentleman. I have not been with a man that pulls out your chair for you!!! He holds the door open for me and helped me on with my jacket. When I see a guy like this I always think...his mom did a good job teaching him and that's exactly what I was thinking last night. Afterwards, he text me and said "I had a great evening of good food and conversation...but nothing compared to that beautiful smile of yours".... So yes I would say it went very well.
Today...I am going to run to some stores just to poke around. There is nothing I need...just want. I also want to clean and workout. So that's my day. Nothing big going on with me. So what are your plans for the day???
Well time to eat breakfast...have a wonderful day...bye.
Sharon...I always wanted a friend that did hair. Can you ask your friend his opinion on this Brocato 3 month hair straightening. I use the flat iron on my hair and I have had a problem with breakage. I am using some very good products to help...Redken extreme Anti-snap. I also use the hair mask on my hair 2 times a week. And of course I take biotin. But my hair is still breaking. So short of not flat ironing my hair for awhile (which won't happen) it was suggested I do this Brocato thing because it will straighten my hair and I won't have to flat iron it then. They said it will allow my hair to grow back and give it a rest. I just would like the honest opinion of someone that won't financially gain if I decide to do this. So can you ask him what he thinks..pros and cons...
Thanks

I wonder if that product would work on short hair also.

Chris,
This lady's hair was long, but it was shiny, gorgeous and straight with a very slight wave in it. In addition she colored her hair. With all that processing, her hair looked amazing. She swore by it and said she will do it again in a heartbeat in spite of the steep price.
I'll check with Jimmi when I get back from NY. I dont see why it would not work on short hair. BTW, she was about 45 years old. So she wasnt a teeny bopper.
Hugs,
Sharon
It's funny u should mention this because we were just talking about this. We were at a party a couple weeks ago and a woman had gorgeous hair and i asked her if they were extensions and she said no she did the Brocato because her hair was breaking from straitening. She said her hair is normally frizzy if she does not straighten it. Her hair was straight and gorgeous. But it costs like 200-300 bucks and lasts like 6 months. I would go for it.XoXo S
Just sitting here enjoying the fireplace for the last morning and reflecting on the past several days. I went to a shop here for beads. The shop owner and I are friends on FB. She showed me a technique that I could not master from reading the instructions in a magazine or from watching a tutorial. I had some magazines with jewelry designs and decided to expand my horizons with using chain. I bought the components from the two beading stores here and have enough to make three more necklaces. Since I had my tools with I made one last night.
Off to B-fast, pack and take the walking tour again of the downtown with a Galena historian that dresses like General Grant. Took the same tour last year but you can sometimes only take in so much info and then your brain shuts down.
I stopped into the Wild Birds Unlimited store that is less than a block from the DeSoto House and found out that the little bird we saw is an Eastern Towhee.

Hi Sharon and all of Illinois.
No real plans for today. I do want to get into a couple of kitchen cabinets. They need help bad.
I have noticed that I get tired out faster then when I had my lapband. I am also 5 years older. Yesterday, I went shopping, and when i got home, I was lucky to get the cold stuff into the house and put away, until I was wiped out. I took a nap, then was able to put the rest away. I do hope this goes away.
The color went on the hair yesterday. It looks good. At least the gray is under control for a few weeks again.
It sounds like you (Sharon) are going to have a busy day.
Crystal,, he sounds like a gentleman. And I agree with you, keep it off FB.
Chris, have a safe ride home.
Shannon, Connie as well as Dawn are close to Rockford.
Everyone, have a great Saturday.
Huggers,
