With my sewing machine I can change needles to use with spandex, nylon, double knit, cotton. The needle for spandex and nylon "pushes" aside the thread of the fabric so it does not pucker. I also have different presser feet to change out. The needle basically is like a ball point pen - rounded. Some of the other needles are sharp and pointy to go through the fabric.

Good Morning.

Galena is such a magical place. We haven't been in a few years, but maybe this summer or fall.

Today I have a few chores to do, then a bit of errands. I also want to get my hair colored.I hate to admit it, but more and more gray is coming in. Not that I plan on going gray, its the thought of it.

Sunday will mark my 30 day surgiversary. I won't have to crush the pills anymore. That is truely a big step. I refuse to be a slave to the scale, so I won't weight until I see Dr. Guske on Wed.

Have a great day,

Hugs,

We love the history and the beauty of the valley. The drive into town on Rt 20 is breath taking especially in the fall.

Good morning all. Yesterday was a long long day. Took the over 5 hour round trip ride to the dr for a 5 minute appointment. All worth it. I got to move to pureeds! Then took two of my kids to swimming lessons.Didn't feel too good after sitting in the extra humidity. Woke up this morning feeling amazing! First day since surgery that I feel completely human.

Have a great day!!

TGIF!

I for one am certainly glad that this week is over!  I have had nothing but problems this week.  My uverse phone system is still not working and I was on the phone again last night to AT&T chewing them out.  I finally convinced them that they really DID need to send a service person out to check this out because something is definitely wrong.  I am tired of the lip service.  blush  GRRRR.

Then I found out last night that my "free" health insurance that is a retirement benefit will now start costing me at least $40.00 a month.  That does not sound bad unless you never budgeted for it and took a 20% cut in your retirement pay because some dude made a 4 million dollar mistake and caused you to lose your job while he kept his.  cool

The final straw today was as I was walking out the door, my collectors bowl that I got at the animal auction fell off the entertainment center.  I had not even touched it.  The air movement caused it to go over and it shattered.  It was one with a beautiful cat on it.  Sigh.

Soooooo, I am trying to shake off a terrible week.  Next week has GOT to be better!  Otherwise, I am going to have to have an attitude adjustment.

The good news is my yard workers came to start cleaning up my yard last night.  They are really hard workers.  The main guy is fantastic and so easy to work with and very handy as well!  I am so happy to have him around.  Today, the bark gets put out.

No special plans for the weekend other than to decompress and try to relax.

Everyone have a great weekend!

GOVERNMENT! One "loves" to hate them.

Never have had a problem with AT & T. We have them for our land line. Dave worked for them during the break up of the Bell System for 6 years (prior to that for Western Electric) then his division went onto Lucent and other companies.
