Friday Roll Call

My center of balance from front to back has moved.  Since I was able to return to my furesomide yesterday a lot of water came off and I woke up with a leg and foot cramp which did not help my balancing abilities when I stood up.  Next I went to straighten up and my old signals of compensation to my leg and foot muscles has not changed to the new front to back balance and I went back on the bed like a tight end who had been chopped at the ankles while four foot off the ground.  That stretched everything just enough to make all of my incisions complain.

I will be back into Python today.  In computers we actually build little machines that do things.  Rat race is a program very similar to pac man.  In it one machine creates and maintains the maze as the rats move around.  Another machine moves the rat around the maze, determines if a thought about move runs you into a wall, one move up and /or to the side in the hall and if there is food there.  Then if no wall the maze machine has to change the new location to show the rat and change the food and hall symbols as needed as well as updating how many pieces of food are left.  That means machine maze has to know which rat is wanting to move and where.  The rat machine knows that.  The rat machine needs to know when the food is gone.  The maze machine knows that.  There is a way to say give me your information in a way that each gives up a copy to the other but it is very specific language.  Since I am used to communicating mainly in grunts and shrugs this all feels very verbose to me but I need to conquer it to begin to move into the new world of programming.

Dawn, your porch nest typo sounds right to me.

Lisa, I will take it easy if you will.

Birder, too bad your town and my town are not the same.  I have met a group that has a Singer knitter.

Nancy, it is Friday for real today.

Crystal, did you lose a tooth?

Chris, hope we get some good weather soon and that less crapolla comes your way though you are kind of in the crapolla processing business somehow the crapolla has to be treated as creation while also remembering that it can become a cancerous creation.

What will the rest of you be doing today?

Good Morning Everyone!

It really is Friday!    I enjoyed my day off yesterday.  I went and visited our local vampires.  I had to do a fasting blood test that I did not know was scheduled.  I opened some mail and found an order from my heart doctor.  So I obliged.  I want to be a good little camper.  I got some things done around the house and took it easy.  I am back at work feeling refreshed.  Now I am looking forward to the weekend.

Of course it had to rain yesterday and for then next several days but I guess I wont complain.  I still say it beats that white stuff which is still coming down in Iowa and Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Randy, I am amazed that you are feeling well enough to get back in the saddle and onto computer programming again.  I guess if you dont laugh or move funny you are not in a lot of pain. I am so glad to hear you are doing so well.  This is amazing considering what you went through after your RNY.

Dawn, I hope you have a wonderful girls day tomorrow!  It will be so much fun!

Crystal, what are your weekend plans?

Lisa, did you get your flowers?

Chris, how many more years do you have to work and put up with this nonsense?

Connie, what are you knitting now?

Sharon, how was your time with your grandkids yesterday?  What are you up to this weekend?

Everyone have a great day!

I think the rny team had to do a lot of cutting and cleaning on my old hernias that meant the plastics team did not have to do those.  Still a lot of cutting though to bring those muscles from the side across the middle and the repair of those not covered by those muscles.

I also though close to 200 pounds lighter and much better muscle composition than I was for rny.

Working for me is a matter of economics as far as not wanting to have a good chunk of my pension going towards paying for my insurance. I have 5 more years before medicare. I am vested on my pension since 1987. Because I am a municipal employee, over 55 and am vested they have to sell me the insurance for as long as I need it and it is not Cobra either. I can wait until I am closer to 62 and closer to social security. I would rather not take that then either. We would like to live as close to our current life style with my current salary. The biggie is that my pension is not a state pension nor subject to the BS that is going on with the legislature.

The little bit of caca I have is minor and some days none. I would say that you probably have more than me. Also we do not have the expense of a second car and I walk/bike to work. I have fantastic benefits, five weeks vacay, personal days and they are flexible as to my hours if I have an appointment etc.

Good Morning,

After waking up at 3a.m. on Thursday, today, I stayed in bed until after 7. I don' t remember dreaming anything, so maybe it was a good deep sleep.

Yesterday, I went and had my hair layered, to bring out the curls again. It feels great!.Then we were in Bloomington last night, at Morgan's concert. We drove home in heavy rain.

Randy, you are sounding good. I think you are in your element, when you are doing computer stuff.

Nancy, aren't doctor visits fun.

I have a few errands to run today, then we will proabaly meet up with friends later for dinner. I will have my usual choice, soup or mashed potatoes. I will be glad when this part is over.

Everyone have a great day,

Hugs,

Lisa

It is like building sand castles or towns in red sand or oyster shells and not having to worry about the tide or a car coming in.

Nancy, I'm knitting another shawl==this one is bright greens and purples which I love and Kay thinks is too bright. Twas ever thus!

I'm also glad that we are getting rain instead of snow. The pictures from up north are mind boggling for May!

Have a good day!

Connie

Hello everyone

Oh my goodness Randy...let me be clear it was not me that lost a tooth.  One of the corporate people that came to visit yesterday told us that story.  She began with I had the worst day, it started with her tooth fell out while she was brushing her teeth and ended with her finding out that her drivers license is expired when she got to the airport.  That's when I said, I wouldn't have challenged fate and got on the airplane...I would have just threw in the towel and just called it a day and went back to bed!!!

Yesterday like I said before we had to dress up.  Well I just put on a pair of black slacks (the only paid of dress pants I have that fit me) and a silvery/gray sweater and then I wore a silver chain and hoop earrings.  So nothing to fancy...but you would think I was dressed to the 9's.  Everyone kept complimenting me....now I know you aren't used to seeing me dressed up....but really I look the same as I always do just a little more dressed up.  But like I said before I am not good with compliments or attention....especially attention.  So I usually deflect with humor of some sort.  Like one of the guys came in and said "my Crystal you look very nice today"...and I just said " well that's good I just woke up looking like this...I didn't even have time to get dressed I just came in my pj's"....and he looked me and said "you're funny, you're saying you sleep in that outfit" and I said."this old thing, yep you should see my nicer pjs"...it's stupid but I got the attention off me and how nice I looked.  I am still not used to compliments and definitely not used to getting attention of men.  And sometimes I get very uncomfortable and rather show the discomfort, my defense is stupid humor.

Well I am already hating this awful weather!!!!  Today I have a doctors appointment with my band doctor.  I am wayyyy past due.  I have been putting it off.  Mainly because my insurance doesn't cover this anymore so it will all be out of pocket cost for me.  So this doctor visit will cost me $250.  He does all his fills under fluoro so that's why so expensive.  I'm sure there will need to be some adjustment needed because he told me on my last visit that for every 25-30 lbs lost I need to come in for an adjustment.  Because there is visceral fat lost around the organs and my band can loosen around my stomach.  I have lost about 30 lbs since my last appointment.  So that's the main reason I want to go in, I want to make sure my band is firmly in place still.  I don't want it to get lose and slip on me!!!  He can see all that with fluoro...which is why I like the fact that my doctor does every visit that way.  He can see that everything looks good in there.  The appoinment is at 2pm so I thought I would just take the whole day off and I haven't taken a day off this year yet.  Of course when I asked for it off a couple of weeks ago I was hoping for nicer weather!!!  So today I will be on smooshies the rest of the day (that's if it's decided I need a fill).  I usually treat myself with ice cream during this time, because I very rarely ever eat it and it's the perfect smooshie food!!!  So I have my ice cream in the freezer already!!!!

So as far as plans this weekend...nothing tonight.  Tomorrow I am going to a friends house for a movie night.  That's it.  Quite frankly I am thinking that's ok.  The crazyiness of the last few weekends where I am jam packed every single day gets a little nuts.  I have a few things to do around here I have been putting off.  Then again things might just pop...that really seems to happen to me a lot lately.  Lots of times I have no plans for the day and then all of the sudden I have a full day in a blink of an eye!!!  So who knows what might be in store for me...hahaha!!!

I have to go workout now so have a good day...see ya later...bye
