Sunday Roll Call
Hi Chick-a-dees!
Happy Sunday.
I missed most of yesterday. But the part I saw was gorgeous. I was at our new church building all day yesterday. I was part of the team that cleaned the kitchen. 5 women worked all day on that one room. It was a lot of work, but it is sparkling now.
We are still having church in a neighboring church at 5p though, because there is much to still be done before we move in next week. So it is a lazy Sunday morning with no rushing around which is always welcome.
I saw on FB Cheryl indicated Randy is in a regular room now. It sounds like he is recovering. She mentioned he has a long road, but getting better. Hugs and prayers to our good friend.
Tonight after service we are going with a group of friends to a club called the Baton I will give everyone an update. I am a bit leery but i dont want to be a wet blanket.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of his weekend.
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
Yesterday truly was a gorgeous day. I wore my capris and flip flops and took a very long walk.
I just have been having a really busy couple of days. Barely any time to even sit, but I'm not complaining. Today I am tempted to sit back and relax and stay inside. But I have so much to do. I have cleaning, laundry and errands to do and working out.
Yesterday, I woke up early and got my workout in and got ready and ran out to get my prescriptions and clean my car. Then I went off to my lunch with my friend. It was such a beautiful day we had a lunch and walk in a local forest preserve (probably not good for my allergies...but oh well). Time got away from us and before I knew it was 5pm. So I ran home again changed and went to pick up some chips and dip. Another friend of mine hosted a game night at her house. We had a lot of fun. I didn't get home till 12.
So I haven't done any cleaning and none of my normal stuff I do around the house. And I have laundry to do!!!
Well have a great day all...see ya,
Sharon- If you are talking about the Baton Club in Chicago...I went there last week with a group of girls. It's female impersonators. We had a great time and loved it. Those men made me feel ugly...hahaha!!! But I guess it's really how comfortable you are with men dressed as woman...singing and dancing. Yes sometimes suggestively. But it's all done in fun. And weird fact...this is a hot destination now for bachelorette parties. There were at least 10 there the night we were there!! Just sit back relax and have fun.
Good Morning,
It is so nice that you and Crystal have such an active life. You can stay home and clean when you are old. I made a pact with my hubby years ago, unless it was really important to stay home for some reason or another, if we were invited out, or the kids wanted us to go or do something, the housework could wait. I am not a clean freak, but I do like stuff put away and the house dusted.
With that, today I will be doing as little as possible. I had a bad evening and night. I didn't get any sleep until 4 am, Not sure what happened, but, I was tired, and wasn't feeling up to par. To put it nicely, if there was a way for stuff to come out, it did. I went from freezing to dripping wet. Wasn't sure if I should take anything, and I didn't know what to take, so I didn't. Was this one of the bugs going around?
Have a great day,
Hugs, LISA
