Hello everyone

I am getting more rain this morning...I don't know about the rest of you.  Yuck...I'm sick of this.  I am looking forward to te warm up this weekend...oh I am sooo excited!!!

Today I have my doctor's appointment.  I weigh in...we shall see how well I do with that.  I don't think very well.  I have been doing OK with the wheat free diet.  But I feel no different in my sinuses.  I know it may take awhile to feel the effects of going wheat free. So today will be work and doctor.

I am still wondering about eating wheat free when eating out.  Some places have a gluten free selection..but most don't.  I guess I will cross t bridge when I get to it.  And I don't eat out that often.

Well I better get going...have a great day...see ya later

Well went to pre op testing yesterday and am waiting on the final go ahead for surgery tomorrow so this station may soon be quiet for at least a few days.

Rode my bike to Gene's and later to the Jewel on Monday while it was nice.  Charged up blue line escalators passing by and  startling younger folks.  Payback is nice.  I almost always take the stairs in my building.

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning Illinois,

I have to agree. This rain and cold really sucks!!! At least the world is turning green .I  was getting tired of the winter colors.I was able to get one walk in yesterday, before the rain.

Two of my friends stopped by yesterday afternoon. A nice gab session that lasted 2 hours happened.I also got a call from Humana, checking up on me. One of the questions she asked was how much weight I have lost since the surgery. Honestly, I don't know. I decided not to weigh myself until Friday.

I think I am going to make some cream of vegetable soup. We had it at Dollywood a few years ago, It is so smooth and velvety. We will see.

Have a great day,

Hugs,

LISA

Today is my only day off this week and I am playing catch up with the wash and cleaning. I really enjoy working and it feels good to leave in the early morning and come home tired and satisfied in the afternoon. I am usually at work by 7 and home before 3p.

I am so sad to see the amount of foreclosures. It is heartbreaking. I am also shocked at the 4-6 new cars sitting in the driveway in many of the places I inspect. I think adult kids must be moving home and everyone is unemployed. It is very sad indeed. If everyone sold/turned in their big expensive cars and bought beaters instead of making 4- 6 hi car payments they could probably keep the home. I am not judging but that's what I would do if i had to. This economy is rough for everyone. Between gas in our cars, utility bills and groceries we are all hurting.

Today I have a meeting at 2 with one of our pastors to discuss who knows what? I got the call early and agreed to meet her at Starbucks. Hope it's good news.

Have a great day everyone!

The sun is peaking out

Sharon-  I completely agree with you and know exactly what you are talking about.  I saw it all the time in Aurora.  I called it car poor...you are so poor from the car payments.  Another thing that drove nuts was people I saw living in the crapiest places with their family...but would drive a really nice car with l of the expensive add on's...you know the rims and loud stereo system.  I don't don't get it you would rather have your family live in the ghetto and go to crap schools...and spend your money on that car.  I knew some of these people...their whole paycheck would go to a car payment.  See I was the other way around...we lived in a nice area and I drove a sh*t box...hahaha!!!  It's called PRIORITIES!!!!

That's why I don't always feel sorry for some of these people.  Then I come across as callous.  But it's just I know the game...I grew up around it.

Afternoon Everyone!

Lisa, it is good to see you posting.  It sounds like you are doing great!  Just dont overdo it.  be kind to yourself.  You have just had major surgery.

Randy, Good luck with your surgery tomorrow.  Please have Cheryl keep us informed.  We want to know how it went.  Prayers for a smooth surgery and a quick recovery!

I had yesterday off and I loafed most of the day.  I did do some cleaning up of my desk in the afternoon.  I had a dentist appointment but other than that laid low. All of this lovely weather is playing havoc on my back.  Ugh.

Today I have an appointment for my hearing aides.  Other than that it is home for the evening.

Tomorrow I get my hair done.  So I have managed to have something after work every night this week.  Fun!

Not much else happening.

Everyone have a great day!
