I know that seems odd to most people.  I have  a routine down now though and even though I am up my body and mind really are not fully awake as I sit here hunting and pecking with four fingers in the dim glow of my monitor.  When I turn on the sun box style lamp at 5 am it will give my body a signal to start putting me to sleep at 9 pm.  I will reinforce that by going to only night lights at 7 pm then with melatonin at 9 pm.  It is not perfect and normally a bit of alcohol might get me back to bed but I try to only buy what I will drink at night and with the surgery coming up of course I at zero,

Melatonin at 4 am would put me down until or 7 or 8 am and I would be groggy all day.

So two more minute till 5 am.

The coffee is set for five.

That gives us a few more minutes to catch up as I missed posting Sat and Sun.  I read this morning.

I did not get out of ICU for three days.  Of course Lisa is in better shape than I was.

Ahhhhhh, bright light, bright light.  Perk, perk, perk.  Nose is stopped up, all in my mind of course as surgery is imminent.  Or maybe it is imminent.  Saturday Cheryl went with me to the OSM.org #editathon.  Anyone who likes maps can go there and use the edit function and save things they put on the map if they register.  Cheryl got bored early so we left about 3 pm and went to WalMart Express on Chicago then to Gene's.  Brown line stops are within half a block of both.  Sunday we both went to freegeek.  Cheryl likes tearing up computers.  I picked up some mia knockoff, chips and salsa at Jewel and we both fell asleep in our chairs watching whatever it is Cheryl turns on after amazing race. It was an extremely busy weekend for these not so old folks.  I also wrote a program for the Rice class and took quizzes in it and the U of Toronto class.  I hope to finish the U of T class today and try to get ahead in the Rice class by Wednesday evening enough to cover a few days on pain meds.

So I know what some of you have been up to but posting was sparse on this pretty for our area weekend though the cold still gets to arthritic bones.  What are the rest of you up to?

Good Morning Everyone!

I have been up today at  1 am, 2 am, 3 am, 4 am and 5 am.  It was one of those nights.  cool  So I may find myself   and trying to wake up all day.  Tomorrow I have the day off.  I hate it when I cant sleep.  I wish I knew what caused it.  Today is going to be a beautiful day so I will take it!

Yesterday I started making new name tags for everyone on our team.  This time they are kites.  I did  butterfly mobiles last time and they were darling but our office is too dry and the butterflies kept floating away.    The kites are a single kite so that should not be a problem.

Today is work and home.  Tomorrow the dentist.  But at least I am off.  That is it for me today.  I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

Back at work after a nice weekend.  Riley came out on Saturday and Liv went to her first prom with her best girlfriend.  They had a good time and were home by midnight.

On Saturday night, Riley and the two neighbor boys, 6 and 3, came over and made dinner for us.  They made pigs in blankets and homemade pizza.  We had a nice time.  I kept track of the kids and Todd and the adults sat and talked.  We all had fun.

I told my boss my plan to go to 4 days and he agreed!  Friday will be my first day off!  Yippee!  I will use that day to get things done that need to be done and maybe set some interviews too.  It will be good for my sanity.

I think Lisa posted that she went home so things must have gone well.

Gotta get back to it.  I am the only one in the office today.

Everyone have a wonderful day and enjoy the sun!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning,

Yes, I was able to come home yesterday. Did not hurt to much, in fact, a took a couple of hits of pain medication on Friday, and that was it.  I think I was more sore, then hurting.

Saturday, I took a couple of walks, and Sunday, I came home. I was a happy camper then. It was a long trip home, even if i did sleep. I came home and  was tired out. Changed int omy nightgown, had some soup, andwas down for the night.

Today, took a walk, had breakfast, took a shower, made some phone calls, Now, I am heading back to the recliner.

Thank you all for being concerned about me, I love all of you.

Hugs,

LISA

Hurrah.

I am sort of expecting three days in ICU then three or four days in regular hospital.  I will be very pleased with anything less.  It would be great to be home by the first to pay the bills and not have to walk Cheryl through that on the phone.  We pay almost everything online now and that has been my task which I should have taught her as well but thought about it too late.

Hi folks!

I did some knitting this morning at the Bookworm, now home to take a nap. No real plans for later today, but the rest of the week there are some unusual plans, but nothing real exciting. I talked to the rehab woman from the nursing home I was in last year and have a dinner planned with her for early May. I've been home a year now. It seems both longer and shorter depending on how I look at it. The fistulas have been acting up again. It's a mystery to me!

Lisa, glad you are doing well!
