Hi Doodle Bugs!

What weather we are having!  My lawn is bright green….but the sky is a funny dark color and the rain  has started again. The heavy rain all night was constant until about 6am. We had an hour reprieve and it’s coming down in heavy sheets again, but now I hear thunder and see lightening. My plan is to stick close to home. I am praying for all those who have to venture out in this.

I’m worried about losing power and my sump pump going out. I had that happen about 20 years ago when I lived in Aurora on the Fox River. It wasn’t good. I had water up to my 1st level and lost a lot in that flood. Right now, the animals are all staring out the window. They know something is weird.

Today is 4th day of the 28 day cleanse and I am missing caffeine. But since this cleanse doesn’t allow for dairy, caffeine wouldn’t be satisfying anyway. I have lost 8 lbs. Probably water, but my pants are loose.

I’m going to get this out before the power goes out.

Stay safe my dear ones.

Hugs,

Sharon

Between Boston, on Monday, Texas last night, and flooding in this area, it is going to be a busy news week, Be sure if you are going out this wet day, you be careful.

I am on clear liquids today.

Other then getting ready for tomorrow, I have nothing to do.

Hugs, LISA

Hi Lisa,

Been following your revision journey on here.  Best of luck to you.  Will keep you in my prayers for a great surgery outcome and an easy recovery.  At least your Doc is easy on the eyes!  Although if it's not his weekend on, you won't get to enjoy!  Will you be at Alexian in Elk Grove?  Amy has to have more surgery for a tumor on her pituitary gland, and for awhile, I was thinking maybe the two of you would be in at the same time (at which time I would have tracked you down and met you!)  But she has extremely low blood counts and they have to work on getting her built up some more.

Anyway, my best wishes to you!  Take it easy.

Quick fly by and Hi to all my OH friends.  Things are going well and I read almost everyday, just don't post like I should.

Good morning Sharon and the rest of Illinois!

I am working after staying home to sleep yesterday.  I am fatigued, achey and my stomach is a bit touchy.  Something going around, I guess.  I am not dying, just under the weather.

I got a nice surprise last night as Liv was going through her portfolio.  She has been accepted into the National Honor Society!  Yippee for her.  She actually "forgot" to tell me.  I think it is awesome!  Will help with scholarships and such.

Tonight, I am supposed to work at the airport then am meeting Liv at the theater for the preview night of the show she dropped out of.  She has work and a prom this weekend and we want to be sure it is worth paying the price of addmission.

Lisa.....good luck tomorrow.  We will be thinking of you and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Everyone stay warm and dry!

Tell someone that you love them!

Dawn-  It's so great to hear Liv is in national Honor Society.  Amanda was in it too.  But she didn't take the laid back approach Liv is taking.  Amanda was always much, much more high strung.  She always acted like the world would come to an abrupt end if things didn't work out to her exact plan...of course they did..but still..it was very stressful having her as a teenager sometimes...hahaha!!!  And those things don't go unnoticed by scholarship committees.  Amanda was also very blessed in that area too.

Yep nerves can be a problem.  I seem to always get a cold right before a surgery.

I have promised myself to get bills paid and a start on this weeks U of Toronto homework.

Will have to get out to make a grandchild's weekend birthday in Texas more enjoyable.

Sharon-  If you are talking about the big flood in July 15 1996..I believe that is the date.  I remember the date.  Funny thing Sharon...I was living in Fox Valley then too.  Right across from the Fox Valley Mall to be exact...there are these apartments called Chesapeake Landing we lived there.  I remember it so well because it was a very terrible time in my life.  My ex was cheating on me and I didn't have a job, a car, my grandma had just died so I had no family to run to.  I was really feeling low.  For the first time I was stuck in the relationship and couldn't leave.  And this flood happened....and we lost a lot of belongings.  My ex never came home to help me and Amanda clean up.  Amanda was 8 and she helped me (bless her heart) clean as best she could...of course our insurance didn't cover anything....because its a flood.  But we recovered and rebuilt...no thanks to my no good ex.  The experience of having to deal with the flood by myself without him because he was too busy with his new girlfriend...and not being able to do anything because I had no job or money.  Was the thing that made me go back to school and get my degree and eventually get a job and car and I left him....all because of the 1996 flood...hahaha!!!!  See God causes floods for good reasons sometimes...hahaha!!!
