We had a lovely day yesterday. We went to my husband’s high school principal’s retirement dinner. It was so nice for Grathell who saw so many old friends. My hubby gave a great speech and it was so fun to hear the stories of how silly and funny my husband was in his HS years from different people. Grathell had a fantastic time. I made some new friends as well. I could not have attended this event a year ago. I would have been so self-conscious about my weight. I know it made my husband so happy to see me at ease in a group of people I didn’t know. In the past I would not have gone.

Last night we went to Pin Stripes in Oak Brook. We went with an eclectic group of people. The place is very different. It is dubbed as a bistro bowling alley. It is 40,000 square feet of restaurant, bar, bowling. It is very high end. A friend of ours was playing jazz last night, so we went and had a blast. The food was amazing. I sipped my iced tea and longed for club soda with lime, but I respected my sleeve and stuck to non-fizzy 0 calorie iced tea. Today I am happy I did.

Today is church and then Whole Foods. It looks like it may be nice today. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a lovely day my dear ones,

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello everyone

I had a good day yesterday too.  I had a nice breakfast with some friends.  I didn't fini**** and didn't bother bringing it home either.  I got another person to download the Fooducate app...they should pay me to be a salesman..hahaha!!!  But I really love that app.  Then I went to Whole Foods.  I really love that store.  I wish there was one closer.  I bought the cottage cheese I wanted.  They don't have potato soup, I need.  So next weekend I will be making and freezing my own.  I think I have everything in my house switched over to gluten free.  I say think because there might be something I over looked.  I also bought some wonder fruit.  And I bought hand lotion.  Then on to Ulta...I needed to get my primer.  I also got exfoliation stuff for your body and a loofa.  Then I went to the mall.  I decided to look around at some of the stores for Summer tops.  It's nice to walk into any store and know you can fit into the clothes.  So I bought 2 tops from American Eagle...I would have never fit in their clothes before!!!  Then I bought a top from Charlotte Russe.

Then I came home and worked out.  I was a mad woman.  I did the elliptical and the P90X workout.  At first I didn't think I was going to be able to do it because I was out of breath with in 5 minutes...but then I was fine and I was able to fini**** out.  Man I was energized but my body was sore!!!  I couldn't get to bed till 1am.  Today I feel fine...but I am wondering this will be a case of the DOMS.

Today I am working out and DOING MY TAXES!!!  I do need to do my laundry...didn't do that yesterday.  That is it for the have to do today...the rest will be what I want to do.

Well I got to go...have a good day, it supposed to be warm...see ya later...bye

Sharon-  How wonderful for your husband....he must be a very special person.  That's the one thing I miss out on since I dropped out of high school.  I don't get to go to high school reunions or any sort of high school get togethers.  It would be nice to see everyone like that.  I know what you mean about being able to do something like going to a party and not being self conscious.  I felt that way at Amanda's wedding.  I was so relieved I had lost weight...to have all of those pictures taken...ugh.  I would have hated that before I lost weight.

Good Morning,

It is going to b a nice day! I just talked to Monica, and she said it was 70 down in Bloomington. It is only 53 here, but I am hoping.

I wanted to finish the Las Vegas scrapbook this morning. It didn't happen. I still have a mimimen of 2 pages, possibly 3, to do , plus journal some. I would work on it some more, but I have a few other things to do first.

Since I am living on shakes and jello  for the last week and this week. I told Hubert to go and get his own stuff from the store. ( the only thing I need is skim milk). True to form, his list is candy, cookies, donuts, bread and milk, cereal and fruit, eggs. No meat, and he forgot eggs, milk and bread. Pretty good, considering he can get the eggs, milk and bread in the gas station. Then he wonders how I can spend so much when I go.

BTW, I lost 7 lbs last week.

I sure didn't like my picture taken before. And, my hubby never said anything about my weight.

Sharon, water with lemon or lime works too.

Have a great afternoon,

Hugs,

LISA

Been to the grocery store, bought probably my last pot roast until the fall season. It will be a little too hot for a while to start the oven and it is too heavy of a meal for the summer. While we were at the store we checked the labels for Aspartame in the milk. There is a movement in the milk industry to remove the nutrition content label on milk. Why do we need a known carcinogen in milk that children of all ages drink, especially kids? Read this link http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/aspartamemilk.asp While looking at the milk choices I PU a bottle of milk labeled kALoNA SUPER NATURAL. Read the label for the additives and noticed this milk was from Kalona, IA near where Dave is from. It is an Amish community and I became interested in it. Come to find out by reading the label it is organic and also has the cream still on the top! We have not tried it yet and am looking forward to it. By the way - have you ever noticed the additive in milk called = palmitate? I had to come home and research it. It is only added to reduced fat milk. It is a vitamin A & D additive. If I read correctly it is a naturally occuring vitamin in milk but is taken out during the fat reducing process for 1 -2% or skim milk.

Off to do a load of laundry so I can hang it outside and futz around with some jewelry.

It is pasteurized but non-homogenized. When milk is homogenized is when you do not have the cream seperation. So, it is not the raw milk if you own a farm and would drink the milk from your own cows. From what Dave told me it is illegal in the state of IA to sell raw milk. We stayed on a dairy farm years ago and had raw milk. It is delicious.

Hi Chris,

I joined a farm co-op and bought a portion of the cow for $45.00. I get a gallon a week that I pick up 10 minutes from my house. It costs $8.00 a gallon. She also sells yogurt, cream cheese and cottage cheese. Hugs, Sharon
