Hello everyone

It was such a beautiful day yesterday.  I came home from work and changed and went for a walk.  No where near the intensity of my usual workout.  Although, did walk very fast and I had leg weights....but it was so nice out and I wanted to enjoy it.  I came home after a very long walk and ate my dinner.  Then I gave myself a really good pedicure and painted my toes purple!!!

Today won't be a beautiful because of the rain but it will be warm.  But then it get all nasty out again.  So I am going to soak it while I can.  Maybe another walk after work if it's not raining.  Although I feel like I'm not working out....when I just walk...and feel a little guilty.  So did you guys do anything to get out and enjoy the weather?  What are doing today...

Well I got to get going...have a good day everyone....see ya later

Revision on 04/19/13

Good Morning,

All I did yesterday was go to the Dr. I needed a clearance for my upcoming revision. The next step is to go for pretesting, and Dr. visit. That will be on Friday.  The only thing wrong with that is I do the pretest at 8 and 9, and my appointment isn't until 4. Not sure what we will do during the long wait. No, we won't come home, it is 100 miles up there.

I did get my surgery time. It will be at 7:30 on the 19th. That means leaving at 3:30, to get there at 5:30.

If you have voting issues on the ballet today, please get out and vote.

Hugs, LISA

Good Morning Everyone

Like Crystal, I could not believe how incredibly nice it was outside yesterday.  I was all prepared for a day of rain and by the time I got off work it was heaven!  What a beautiful day!

Work was busy but I survived on the little sleep that I had.  Nothing exciting happened last night.  I did ask Gizmo if he wanted to go shopping again and got out his harness and he came running so I guess he really did enjoy himself!

Today I have a dentist appointment after work.  Other than that nothing else planned.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning!

WE had a good day in Madison yesterday and the doc said I could come back in 3 months. Yeah! But I'll miss seeing him so often and also miss the office staff. I'm still losing weight which is good but I need to kick up the exercise {big shock there). I wish I could love exercise, but I hate it. I committed to three days a week. I guess I should post it here to keep honest about it.

Going to spin (wool) in a few minutes.Hope the day clears like yesterday did. It turned out to be gorgeous in Madison.

Those of you with relationships with Chicagoland docs, tell them about the Rockford support group for their Rockford patients. Give them my phone number--815-222-7994 or email : [email protected] and that the support group is open to pre and post folks and their families. No cost and that I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

Take care.

Connie- You're not alone...I hate working out too!!!  But I admit I do like the feeling afterward.  I like the feeling of accomplishment and how my body feels refreshed.  So I try to think of that...but it's still hard to drag myself to the gym

Hello IL,

I woke up very sore this morning. I went to the pool yesterday and swam for 50 minutes. It was so wonderful to be back there.

I then went to MLB to have 2 bulbs replaced on my car. My L turning signal and a R rear stop light were out. It cost me $76.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost passed out when he said, "that will be $76.00 ma'am." I said are you joking me? He said, " nope. We had to take off 2 quarter panels to change the light that was 1/4 hour labor and we only charge by the 1/2 hour increment". DAMN! I should have called Crystal. She probably could have done it for me for half that. What a rip off. After that, I was too cheap to get the pedicure so I did it myself. My toes aren't purple they are white. Purple does sound fun tho. I heard pastels are big this spring, especially melon and mint. I'm just delighted to be able to do my toes again. This time last year it would not have been an option.

This morning I am going to the pool and then I am coming home to read for my house group tonight. I also am going to put a pot roast in the oven for dinner.

Bye my dear ones

Sharon

Sharon-  Yes I could have probably figured out your lights for you...for just the cost of the light themselves...which are probably in the neighborhood of $7-12 a package.  And then you have extras for the next time a light goes out.  I taught myself these things.  Thank God for Youtube.  For instance when I wanted to change my cabin filter- I put in the search "how to change cabin filter on a 2008 corolla"...and sure enough there were tons of people that taped themselves changing the filter and explaining how they are doing it. It was really easy.  It took me 15 minutes and cost me $10 I think...and they wanted to charge me $40.  I have an owners manual but I like to see someone do it...it helped me understand what I am reading.

I always have my nails done...all year round (I always say I have to have my toes looking pretty all of the time in case I have to be "toe naked" in front of someone...people laugh at my toe naked term).  Although, I will admit I take special care of them during the Summer.  I do have so many colors.  I have a tote to carry my pedicure supplies and I was organizing them yesterday.  I have just too much stuff..soaking stuff, buffing stuff, lotion stuff, mask stuff ...files of all shapes and sizes (including that ped egg).  I have buffers and brushes.  I have all different kinds of clippers and trimmers and other implements.  I am wayyy too obsessed with my toes!!!!  And I do have mint green and a watermelon color...yeah me!!!

I was up early and made the carrot, spinach, apple, strawberry, blueberry, banana, protein smoothies for Liz and I.  Then we went and voted.  Now it is off to deliver Meredith to school and then to the third interview for a new job.  Wish me luck!  I'm terribly board with being unemployed.  Did I mention that I not only emptied the dishwasher, I filled it back up and hand washed all the pots and pans!  I've been a good husband so far today!

Stay dry and have a great day!

Paul
