Rockford Support group AGAIN?

Hey folks, I'm ready to commit to a Rockford support group again and since I am retired, I'm willing to coordinate it with Dawn and Dr. Garren so we don't do the same topics as Madison is doing. This would be for all folks, regardless of what surgery or where, as we did before. I've got an idea for a new place, but haven't arranged it yet. I'd like to know who of the numbers of you *****ad and don't post if any of you would be interested. I'm also thinking a topic each month, with time also for personal sharing and questions as we did before. You can message me here or on Facebook or call me at 815-222-7994.

Any ideas, suggestions, whatever!

Connie

Connie, sounds awesome. I am so far south, I know nobody north. But if I hear of anyone I will direct them your way.

Hugs,

Sharon

If I could make a suggestion - my doctor's office has a support group that is not the "same ole same ole". The topics are suggested by the patients and staff. You can go on their website and view the topics for ideas. Unfortunately you will not be able to view the video as that is for patients only as we all pay a support group fee as it cost $$ to hold a continuing support group with professional speakers, network output and handouts/supplies. As patients we all have access to the professionals on an "as need basis". I guess I have been given a return value for what I paid for the last 10 years.. (PS - a support group fee is not uncommon in how I paid for it or in some doc offices charge a co-pay).

Go to http://www.lifeweighbariatrics.com/ and to "Patient Portal" in the upper right corner and it will bring you to the list for support group page.

Thanks Chris,

I'll check it out. Madison also has the same thing. Obviously we can't get a bariatric professional to Rockford each month, but most people can go to their hospital group if that is what they want. I have been leading professional groups for 30 years, so I don't have any trouble being comfortable being in charge. You might mention to your guys that there will be a group in Rockford in addition to what they offer there.
