Monday Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois!
Time to wake up and face another week! The weather is not to encouraging today. There is rain here but it is going to be close to 70 degrees so I wont complain! I would like to be home though. My night was too short. I woke up at 2:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. So I am here at work on 3 hours of sleep. THAT should make the day interesting. I am drinking caffiene as I type. 
I had a really fun day yesterday. After we did our grocery shopping we came home, unloaded the the groceries and picked up Gizmo and took him to Pet Smart. He had gotten a gift certificate for his birthday. He loved the trip! He was so cute riding around in the shopping cart. Some of the employees remembered him as that is where we got him. He was so funny. He looked at the toys but wasn't really interested. Then he spied this wall of cat beds. He tried several out and found one that he loved. He curled up in it and started making Gizzy kisses on it. He would not budge. So the bed and him went back into the cart. We visited the other animals and came home. He flirted with everyone!
The Rick and I went to Red Lobster for the lobster fest! I could not even finish a lobster tail so I came home with lobster tail, 2 kinds of shrimp, a baked potatoe and cheese bread. So several more meals to enjoy! Rick pigged right through his. 
So he doesnt get to enjoy more.

I really thought I would be hurting today. I missed the botton step on Monica's deck last evening, tripped over her firepit, unlit, and landed on the ground. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't get up. I was finally able to get to the car, w ith help, and came home.The only injury I received was a small blood blistr on my one finger.
thank you Sharon for suggestng Amazon for my Torani . I ended up buying thier reg. sugar free assortment as well as thier holiday assortment. I should be good for a while.
I have a Dr. appointment today, and I need to get some skim milk and distilled water.

Good morning!
We are off to Madison to make a day of it including support group tonight.It will probably seem a bit long, but it's Madison and I can always find a place to "hang out" there. The doctor's appointment is always fun. Whoever would've thought!

The clouds are flying by so I wonder how long this rain will last.
Yesterday was a lovely day. We stayed at church late to pack up the place and then we sat together and had lunch. The weather was deli****hink I am going to get a pedicure since Crystal mentioned it is going to be flip-flop weather soon.
I am looking out my window and seeing the ***** willows outside the window we planted for my mom when she moved in 5 years ago. They are so lovely. I think I am going to cut them and put them in a giant vase on my dining room table. That should look lovely until Wolfie, Kyle and Schnorrie investigate........
Nancy, it sounds like you had a great day yesterday. None of my puddys would sit quietly in a cart at Petsmart. Gizmo must be very laid back.

Why o why cant cats just leave pretty things alone? I am so afraid they will eat my new orchid.
Gizmo is a really layed back cat. He may play hard but he is well behaved. Tonight I held up his harness and asked him if he wanted to go shopping and he got right up and came over for me to put it on, so he must have enjoyed it!

Good morning all! It has been many many many moons since I've been on the board so I thought it was time to come visit. Several years ago my lap band became twisted to the point that I could no longer drink water! So it was removed and my insurance said that since I was no longer over weight, I no longer qualified for a replacement. So I have been band free for several years now. I am up 40 pounds but that is less than half of the weight I originally lost and I am holding very steady. I am working hard now to improve my eating habits and have recently started learning Tae Kwon Do. That requires a very vigorous workout twice a week and I feel this will help me to start loosing weight again.
I was recently talking to a friend in the neighborhood, and she has asked me to help her connect to resources to learn about weight loss surgery. Being a huge believer in setting up a support structure BEFORE having the surgery, I am going to lead her to this site to get herself with folks that can help support her. I will also help her toward doctors, meetings, web sources, etc...
It is great to see some familiar names still posting!
