Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Peeps!

Happy April !st. 

Are you a prankster?  What is your best April Fool's joke?  It is the day to have some fun.  It might be easy to pull something over on someone being that it is Monday. 

It looks like a free week for me.  I like that.  The full moon is gone and after today the weather is going to warm up again so life is good., 

What are your plans for this week?

It is nice to be home. As much as I enjoy vacations, I am always happy to get home. Today I plan on doing what needs to be done.,  Laundry, unpack, get some food in the house. Pick up my mail, ect.

I need to go tomorrow up to the Kane Center and get my meal replacement stuff for the next 2 weeks. On the  8th, I need to see my pcp, then on the 12th, go for a final visit, pre surgery, with Dr. Guski. Labs that day also. Then, surgery on the 19th at Alexian Bros. in Elk Grove Village. So, after a year, the end of this journey is almost here. It is time to close the door on the lapband, and say hello to the RNY.

We had a fab time in Las Vegas, We ate a lot, did not do to much drinking, I had one drink at the Grand Canyon, seen a lot of  the Mojave Dessert, a lot of the mountains,

We went to Fremont St on Sunday, ate at the Hash House. It has been seen on the food channels Diners, Driveins and Dives. Can't remember what I ate, but it was good.

Monday we seen Tonys and Tinas Wedding.  Funny.

Tuesday, Was girls day, We went to an English Tea, then a Pole Dancing lesson, We ended the evening with drinks (mine was coffee) and snacks  with all of us.

Wed was the wedding. It was a great day, not to hot, and not cool.  She made a beautiful bride. The reception was held at the Venitian, in an Itailian place. All i can say is 3 hours of eating, and pure family fun. Ricks sister and BIL was great. We all fit together.

Thursday and Friday, we spent at the Grand Canyon. All I can say is it makes you look so small. Everyone should see it at least once in thier life.

Saturday, we just went to a few places close by, and chilled. We were back at the airport at 6 a.m. Sunday morning, for our trip home.

Now, the next whirlwind starts. There is never a dull moment here.

Lisa- I'm sure you need a vacation from your vacation.  I know this always shocks everyone but I have not been on a vacation my whole adult life.  It sounds like you took the whole tour of the Las Vegas area.

I am very excited for your surgery.  I can't believe it will be happening so soon.  I'm sure you will do awesome!!!!

I haven't posted for a few days because I've been using my new iPad and it doesn't take posting on this site. Today I am at the computer watching the birds out the window.

We spent some time with friends over the weekend which was fun, plus knitting, of course. We had a nice lamb dinner for Easter, but a quiet day.

This is an easy going week with almost nothing planned. Hope to do some reading too.

The best April Fool's Day Joke I ever did was sending my staff of 40 people a memo via e-mail that the company would no longer be purchasing toilet paper rolls since they kept disappearing. i suggested people bring in their own personal roll and keep it in their desk to use as they needed. It was hysterical because everyone was afraid to discuss it with me and for an entire morning everyone believed I meant it. When the CEO came to me to ask if i had lost my mind, I started laughing hysterically because I had forgotten about it, but then realized everyone believed it. 

I like an occasional joke but i am not a prankster.

Lisa, I know it is good to be home. it sounds like you had a full week. I bet the sunshine really was nice. Hopefully it followd you home. 

Today I am a bit under the weather. i still havent gotten my mojo back and feel a bit draggy. I wish this virus would leave me already. it's been a couple weeks. 

Just doing laundry and washing sheets and linens. Other than that not much else. 

I am making a great recipe I have made in the past that is delish. Easy peasy stuffed peppers. I got the recipe on pinterest and it is easy and good.

Sharon- I know how you feel with your mojo because I have this sinus thing going on and it doesn't help that I am now loaded down with 4 different decongestants and I feel that these are just dragging me down even more.  But I have been really good lately about not letting it slow me down.  I got my workouts back up to normal and I'm going out.  But when I come home and wind down and relax...I really, really feel it....the fatigue and tiredness.  Ugh!!!!  But I have let this sinus thing control me for over 2 months now and I have rested and did what I was supposed to do when you are feeling under the weather....well now this thing is going to do what I want!!!!

Hello everyone

A late post for me...I was off to work extra early today because of the extra work having Friday off.  My plan would have worked perfectly except that they switch the system over to period 4 (April) so I couldn't start on Monday's work till they switched and they didn't do that till 2pm!!!!  So I didn't finish my Monday's work...so I will have to come in early again!!! 

I am relaxing today...but I shouldn't because I ate wayyyy too much this weekend.  I should workout 2 a day for 3 weeks to make up for it!!!

As far as April Fools jokes...I never did big jokes or anything really great.  Just funny little jokes.  Like covering the computer "eye" on the mouse so it doesn't work and then just sitting back and watch my coworker go nuts trying to figure out why their mouse isn't working.  The worst joke I ever played...when I was 14 I told my mom I was pregnant...she believed me...the worst part was the joke was on me, because the very next April Fools Day I really was pregnant!!!

So off to eat dinner...see ya later...bye
