Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

You know I am sick, sick, sick of the cold and gray/white of Winter.  I want the warmth and bright colors of Spring and Summer...I am willing to do a sun dance or pray to a summer god or give offerings to Mother nature...anything

I spent the evening yesterday going through my "fat" clothes and getting them together to get rid of.  I have to do this is stages.  I am just not confident enough to do it all at once.  This time I am getting rid of a bunch f sweaters.  I haven't worn these sweaters in more than a year and need to get rid of them.  I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with limited storage.  I also will have to bring in a whole bunch of new clothes.  Most of my Summer clothes are too big.  All of my capris are too big and maybe a few tops can pass.  So I cannot keep bringing in new stuff and not get rid of old stuff (if I had the space I would totally keep this stuff).  So deep breath...you know this i something that is hard...and skinny people just don't understand!!!!

So I wanted to ask you guys.  I was told by my doctor I have to stop cleaning my ears with q-tips because I am pushing the wax deeper into the ear canal.  Which of course could make things worse for my problems.  Now here is the situation.  It is driving me nuts.  My ears feel so dirty and gross.  I want to clean them with a q-tip so bad!!!!  I saw the ear wax cleaning kit thing at walgreens that looks like you irrigate the ear canal to get the wax out.  Have any of you ever used this?  Do any of you clean your ears in any other way...if so how?  I am open to suggestions.  I am ready to screw the doctors orders and clean my ears!!!  This is unnatural for me...I like to scrub things clean!!!

So today I work, go to Goodwill and workout and that's it.  How about you guys???

Gotta get going everyone...have a good day...see ya later.

Good Morning,

Qtips for me too. The problem with the ear wash kits is they use liquid to wash the wax out. I hate any liquid in my ears.

I did see my heart Dr. yesterday. He wants a stress test and echo done, before clearance. He did a ekg yesterday.  So, I will be having it done on Thursday. I wonder if there is any more things that I was not told about before my revision. So, if everything works, I should be good to go by the time I come back from Vegas. the only problem is that I have to be in EGV by 8. That means leaving the house at 6.

We went to Maggianos, at the Streets of Woodfield for dinner. I had mussels in a broth and their signiture salad for dinner. I brought home the salad and ate it for a snack later. Hubert had their Shrimp Scampi. It looked good too.

Today I need to do some stuff and then go find a phone cover.M ine cracked, and kept falling off. Walmart just has the ones for I phones.

Supper tonight will be leftovers from Sunday.

Hugs, keep warm, I wish spring would be here too. i hate wearing a winter coat in March.

Hi Lisa,

I had to have the echo and stress test as well prior to my surgery. My surgeon told me, "dont be surprised if you have to have these tests prior to clearance, the cardiologist makes all my patients have one"

I am sure it will all come back normal. The positive is then you know the ticker is fine .

Sometimes I think they make us have all this just to cover their behinds in case of a law suit that occurs maybe .1% of the time. Ugh.

Hugs,

Sharon

Sharon, I know it is all for the our own good. Like Dr. Hart said, we are electing to have this done.

My heart Dr. said the same thing. Make sure all is well before Dr. Guski goes in there. I do have to admit, I do like my doctors. They are young and still donot think that a pill will fix everything.

Lisa- just a little tip and this is my preference...get a rubber case.  They don't crack and they last longer.  Not to mention it is my personal theory that the rubber will absorb some of the shock if your phone falls.

When I bought my iPhone5 I finally bought an Otterbox which is a very durable case for your phone and you can drop it and it won't break.  I know this because I have dropped my phone twice now and my phone is fine.  The Otterbox is sold at Walmart and they are expensive...but they save your phone if it falls.  Iphones are not insurable like the other phones you get so if you drop the phone and crack the screen you are stuck with it or have to fix it.  My friend Monica cracked her screen and it cost her $90 to fix it!!!  I'd say the Otterbox is worth the $45

When I doing my pre-op testing and I had to go in for cardiac clearance the cardiologist made me do a nuclear stress test and that was a two day deal...it was a pain in my butt.

I forget all of the crap I had to do to get this surgery.

Hi Crystal and Illinois,

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, babies it's cold outside!  March is a lion right now....hopefully the lamby side will be here soon.

Crystal, I am having the same issues with my ears. I know it's the time of the year. I have not used the irrigation systems they sell at the pharmacy. Seems to me, I'd want to dig more. What I do that works for me....I spray the end of a  Q-tip with peroxide and then gently place the end in my ear canal and let the peroxide drip into my ear canal to foam the wax away . I then gently clean up the wetness with a clean Q-tip.  I find the peroxide can do wonders on the wax down deep where my q-tip cant reach. Also, if I drip the peroxide in the ear and do not hear the fizzing I know it is allergies not wax that is causing my ears to be itchy...then I pop antihistamine that helps the itchy problem.

I am looking out my office window and I have a ***** willow tree that's buds are about to burst. I am so looking forward to warm weather. I noticed yesterday I am going to have to get out there and put something down for the weeds. In spite of the cold, the weeds have managed to "bloom". I liken weeds to ****roaches. They can live thru anything and still be around.

Well it's been 3 weeks and my husband is still working out 3 days a week and sticking to a self-imposed diet. I am praying he continues this. He has so much energy and seems more at peace. Yes!!!!!! I am hoping this pays off and he can get off that awful Januvamet. I saw on the news the other day it causes inflammation of the pancreas. Ugh.

I am working out and still cleaning. I have house group tonight and that is my day.

Stay warm dear ones!

Hugs,

Sharon

I admire weeds and think most are beautiful.  I wonder at the choices of humans to cultivate that which is weak and to eschew weak humans.
