Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

More crappy weather...yuck!!!!   Winter better back off or I will have to get mean!!! 

Well I ended up having a busy day yesterday.  I worked out...but nothing else went as planned.  I was invited to go to a paintball thing and I did...it was fun.  It's true those things do sting when they hit you and now I have little bruises all over me (mostly on my legs).  I know that doesn't sound like fun but it really was...I just bruise easily.  My team won...woohoo!!!  So the other team had to buy our team a beer...but I don't even like beer...I just like winning!!! 

I didn't get to make my shepherds pie.  I realized I didn't have all of the ingredients.  So I will make it next week.  I also didn't get around to making my banana dessert I wanted to make.  This is what happens when last minute plans are thrust upon me.   

I didn't get to bed till late and I should be tired but as these things go I usually don't feel it till later.

Oh I do have a workout buddy a couple times a week.  I mentioned him on Facebook.  He is very nice (and I think he is gay..so I don't have to worry about any romantic problems).  He works right across the street at the hospital, he's an x-ray tech.  He works nights so that's why I only see him on weekends.  But I will see him on his days off too...which is Tuesday and Wednesday.  We were talking and I was telling him about some of my stalker/weirdo problems and he said if he is around he will be my "pretend" boyfriend...hahaha!!!  I think if the guys see me around a guy they will leave me alone. 

Today is my busy day...so it fly by.  Then it will be working out and home...that's it.

Get the bills together.  Pay the bills.  Wanted to go to Aldi but not sure I want to go in the rain.  Should snow tomorrow.  I do not mind going in the rain.

Guess I will load Xubuntu on my desktop and play with Python.

If it does not get really bad I will go to grass roots organization meeting tonight.

What is the rest of Illinois planning.

Cheryl made some good soup yesterday.  I think I will have some for breakfast.

Good Morning Everyone! 

At least I know it is morning.  Whether it is a good one or not is still to be determined.  As I left home I started sliding on my deck and thought "uh oh, this is not a good sign" However, I persisted.  I made it to my car in one piece only to find that my remote starter had not worked and I had ice on the windshield.  So I started scraping.  When I got around to the far side of the car I saw that my back door was opened.  Rick had not closed it when he finished unloading groceries!  Of course he gets to hear about this tonight.     I made it to work without falling so I am glad that I did not have to take a day off. 

I spent last night making name tag signs for my team mates for our cubicles.  They really turned out cute.  They are butterfly mobiles just in time to think spring. 

This is a pretty laid back week for me.  I have a hair appointment Wednesday and Fluffer has one on Friday.  He is going to get a lion cut.  He has been shedding like mad.  I have always hesitated to give him the lion cut because he never was a bad shedder and his hair is so beautiful, but...... now it seems like the time.  I hope he will forgive me.  He is my part ferrel kitty who is a bit shy to put it mildly.  I may not have a cat speaking to me at all.  But then again, he is my beggar for treats.  That is his job in the family.  He begs for the treats and everyone eats them.  Claude is the alarm clock, Mitzi is in charge of begging for food, Smokey asks for the windows to be open, etc.

Crystal, I have never been paint balling.  Rick's son Gage is now working at a place that used to be Santa's village that is all paint ball this year.  He is having a blast. 

Randy, I hope you find something to do today that you like.

I can agree, it is going to be a nasty weather day again, I am heading for EGV to see my heart doctor today. I need to get a clearance from him for Dr. Hart, so Dr. Hart will give me  clearance for revision.Afterwards, we are meeting Hubert's cousin for a late lunch/early dinner.

Crystal, have fun with your new workout partner. Gay or straight, a new friend is still a new friend.

We had a quiet Sunday. We watched Nascar and then a movie.

Lisa-  I think it's a plus if he's gay...no worries about romantic entanglements,  I had a guy friend that ended up not being a friend...because he did something stupid.  And then there is awkwardness and then things were never the same.  Or there is a jealous girlfriend/wife that thinks there's more going on...you know.

So this will be perfect. 

Crystal, all girls need at least one gay friend. Who else can you count on to tell you how you look and mean it.

Please, do not tell me I am gay bashing. I have friends and family members who are gay, straight and everything in between. Whatever your lifestyle is, is ok by me. If I like you, I like you, if I don't, well that is ok too.

Connie and Kay, I admire both of you. you are both awesome women.

Lisa- Oh I agree about the truth telling...and we can look at men's booties together and crush on Channing Tatum....Then we both electronics too so we are a match made in heaven!!!  I love my friend Scott he's the best.   

So are we moving towards having our own Will and Grace?

Hahaha!!! I like that. I do have another friend that is gay that lives in Chicago and we only get together a few times a year. He is my go to tech savy friend. If I have any questions or issues with electronics I ask him. But it's always nice to add a friend epsecially a gym buddy I haven't had one of those since I lost Amanda!!! And a guy friend that I don't have to worry about feelings developing between us is always good!!! I really like him. He is so nice and we are already joking around....so ya maybe we are will and grace LOL!!!!

Hi Y'all,

I had no internet for 3 days. Boy, I sure got a lot more done with no internet to use. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA

It was a pretty busy weekend, but it was fun. We went to see Book of Mormon and everyone loved it. I was the only one put off by it. It was extremely vulgar. We went with 40 friends. Yes, 40! Everyone, but me, loved it. It was a 2 hour play that flew by because it was so entertaining. I know a dichotomy.

The actors were probably the most talented I have ever seen. We went to Rosebud for dinner afterward. The food was not great. Immediately upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told they were not affiliated with the Rosebud on Taylor Street. That should have been my first sign because the one on Taylor is delish!

Today my hubby is off and we have some errands to run. He was rear-ended and we have to take his car in to be fixed and get him a car to rent for the next week or so. 

Crystal, I have never done the paintball thing. I bet you really get a great workout doing it.  You make me laugh.......bruises all over!!!! my goodness.........

Lisa, I got my luggage (very cheap) at Sam's club. I really like it because it has the 360 degree wheels. I hate when I have to drag the suitcase because the wheels are 180 not 360 degree wheels. I never knew about this until someone told me about this. Since getting the 360 degree wheels I have never had an issue pulling a suitcase.
