Saturday Roll Call
I bought fresh pico de gallo, granulated garlic and two avocados yesterday and made guac.
Yum.
Fell off the wagon last night. I stood up too much at freegeek yesterday. Going there again today and tomorrow. No standing needed today. Standing yesterday was my own decision because it is just easier to work on a computer standing up. As much walking as I do I thought I could do that but last night my shanks were killing me where I used to blister and bleed. Guess I need to go to the vein doctor as well. Plastic surgeon is this Wednesday and dentist is Tuesday. Dentist should be free but specialist copays do add up.
Need to open and sort our snail mail before I go.
What are the rest of you up to today.
Hello everyone
I am relaxing this morning due to the fact I just had a really bad dizzy spell. You know when you get up too fast and you have that head rush. Well I have been getting those but intensified really bad lately. So I got up and I got a head rush that was really bad and I should have just sat back down....but I'm stubborn and I tried to walk it off. Well I took a few steps and that just made it worse I and ended up stumbling and falling (it wasn't a bad fall...I ended up on my knees). So there you go. It's like really bad vertigo...I have had this ever since my sinuses have been acting up but today was the worst.. I learned my lesson...from now on I will sit right back down if I feel dizzy!!! So after I recovered I sent an email to my doctor to see what he thinks about all this. I have a feeling I will have to go to the ENT after all...it's been over a month and tons of medications and nothing seems to be making this go away completely.
So I am sitting here relaxing and eating a banana and peanut butter. I thought something rich in protein and complex carbs would be good right now...I usually cook myself a nice breakfast on Saturday....but not now. Maybe I will breakfast for dinner. So after I rest up a little and let my breakfast settle I have things to do today. I will clean, run some errands and workout. That's my day. I just will put things off till later in the day and take the morning and relax a little. There's no hurry.
Well I get back to relaxing..see you all later...have a wonderful Saturday...bye.
Good Morning,
Not to much doing today. We are going to Yorkville today to have dinner with the family. Annette is doing corn beef and cabbage, I am making the same tomorrow so we have leftovers for the week. I do need to do a couple of errands this morning. We didn't go out until after the stores were closed yesterday.
I have decided that there is no way in heck that I will be able to pack in the weight allowance that Alliagant Air allows. 40 lbs for checked luggage, 25 for carryon, and you have to pay for both. Everyone else is 50 lbs, and no charge for carryon. Hubert said no carryon, so we don't have to pay for extra bags, oh well, I think there may be one. Oh, that includes the 9 lbs. that the suitcase weighs.
Am I being a B---- about this?
Chocolate protein shake for breakfast.
HUGS,
LISA
The set we have is a lightweight set, but the large bag still weighs 9#. We generally fly SW also, but Hubert wanted to fly out of Moline, since it isn't so big or far. Plus I think he was thinking cheaper.
Just in the door about a 1/2 hr ago from a Women's Retreat at The First Baptist Church of Geneva. This is my 2nd year attending with my family. We were honored by having 3 generations of ladies there. My sister, me, niece's and great niece (my sister's daughters and a grand daughter). Heard a great speaker called Ellie Lofaro. She is the author of 5+ books, has had a Christian radio program and has been heard locally on WMBI 90.1 in Chicago. She peppered the sessions with humor, history of her Italian family, growing up in Brooklyn, her children and her husband being a part of Chuck Colson's Prison Fellowship. All I can say is AAAAWWWWW, great day. Her topic was titled - "from Battle Scars to Beauty Marks. This is how a woman can turn things that have happened in their lives into a beauty mark and to serve God and others.
Off to a St Patties Day party across the street in a hour plus. Dave is at Willow serving the team. The retreat weekend was on the same day that we were to serve last year so he is there alone right now. He will do okay.
