By the way, using Red Neck as a derogatory comment is not a good thing in my book.

It also does not define which type of Red Neck you are talking about.  Was this man a coal miner?  A cowboy?  A rancher?

Randy. When I say redneck I mean white trash. I don't mean construction worker. I actually prefer blue collar men to white collar men as far as dating them. They are more down to earth. This guy was just trashy with messed up teeth. Working here I'm used to seeing the guys come in dirty. Of course they are dirty they work outside and in the summer when it was 100+ degrees they smelled too but what do you expect. I don't care about that. It's a persons general attitude and how they act and of course the teeth!!!

Still making me feel like white trash which again, why?  I have three teeth missing and the rest are not in that great of shape.  I would love to have new ones but that is not in the cards right now.

Randy-  I didn't judge him just by his looks.  I told you he was up there talking to me for awhile and I had to be nice.  If I talked to you I would assume you would seem educated and literate and have some general manners and good nature and sense of humor.  So ya I might have noticed your teeth...but I would have liked "YOU".  Like I said his general attitude screamed trash and he was pushy.  He could have had false teeth and his personality and his general demeanor would have still ruined it.  I doubt very much that you would turn some off with your personality and demeanor...or that you are an unclean person.

Then again I have had very nicely dressed and very put together guys "turn me off" just as much because of the way they act.  I just don't like a person with a bad personality or someone that comes on strong.  So I guess even if he was dress up nicely and had great teeth...I would have hated him.

Just give me a guy with good manners and a nice personality, a great sense of humor,  that I find attractive.  That treats me well and will be happy.

Thanks to you all for the good wishes. My husband is still feeling terrible. I called his Dr and I hope for a quick appointment. My Daughter will be with me instead. I have never been thru surgery without him by my side......

It looks like a sunny day, I love the big white puffy clouds, much better then the sleet yesterday now we need some warmth..There are already 2 campers at the camping club we belong to, I guess they left the warm south to soon.

Crystal's chicken sounds really good, I can't find boneless chicken thighs, Sams had them several years ago but I've checked everywhere and can't find them, do any of you know where they are sold?

Catch you later,  Norma

Walmart has boneless skinless thighs and they have an antibiotic free, hormone free too... Which is all I buy now. They are in green and white package. And they run about $3.50 a package for 6 thighs

hello friends,

I went to the Bookworm today to knit with my friends. it is always fun to hang out with this crowd.

Dawn, you are doing so well! It is always a good idea to change your pattern, drive another way, shop at a different store, although it may be hard to find a store that doesn't sell liquor! I would suggest you not cook with any liquor because it doesn't entirely cook away. The small amount that remains, even of beer which you don't like, can be a trigger for the chemical reaction in your brain. I'd avoid mouthwash or cough medicine with alcohol too. (Nyquil is about 80 proof). Wine vinegars are risky too. Most recovering folks are not willing to risk these possible interactions with the brain chemicals. I know we are all supposed to watch the sugar, but it is particularly risky for alcoholics (since alcohol is full of sugar) and the connection between alcohol and sugar addiction hasn't been studied enough.

Actually these ideas are relevant to all of us! We are all at risk. Also, it only takes one 3rd generation relative (great-grandparents) to create a 50% higher risk of genetic alcoholism and it has nothing to do with whether or not we knew the relative.

Have a great day folks and enjoy the sunshine!

Connie

I thought it was well researched that the sugar and alcohol abuse tendency gene were the same.
