Hello everyone

Well the week is half over...and we are getting closer to the weekend...woohoo!!!

You know I have to say I do like this mobile phone friendly set up now on OH...because sometimes when I can I sneak on here during the day at work (I won't ever do it on a work computer again...I learned my lesson on that) and I can post during the day now.

Yesterday I thought I was in for some overtime because I was given some extra work to do...that needed to be done by Thursday.  I have to say I was happy...extra money!!!  But I finished it within 2 hours!!!  What the heck!!!  No overtime...it didn't even take me to the end of the day.  I was a bit bummed I have to say...hahaha!!!  I was 1/2 tempted to sit at my desk and kill some time and hand it in late (and get the overtime anyway)...but that would be dishonest and I would feel bad.  Damn it...I need to get more sneaky and under-handed!!!!

I came home last night and decided to try a new recipe, that I have putting off for awhile.  No-fry chicken tenders.  But this recipe was different (well to me it was different) because instead of dipping the chicken into eggs...you dip them into mayo!!!  I was hesitant because I hate mayo...yuck.  The comments were that you can't taste the mayo at all and in fact the mayo lends to the juiciness.  Well they were right!!!!  I always read the comments on these recipes because people have good tips.  Well they said make sure you get the excess mayo off  or it will be soggy.  So I did make sure I dipped the tenders in the mayo and then took all excess mayo off.  then rolled the chicken in the bread crumbs...I used poultry seasoning...and then sprayed the tenders down with cooking spray.  I had to figure out the time and oven setting myself because the recipe was for bone-in chicken and I did boneless-skinless chicken breast strips...I did 400 at 25 minutes.  It was super tender, crispy and yummy.  Some people said they used yogurt instead of mayo but the finished product didn't taste as good as the mayo.  I have tried no bake fried before in the past and never like it, because it just was dry to me.  I think the mayo and cooking spray makes a difference.

Then I went to workout...at first I wasn't going to and put it off.  Then I ended up getting my motivation back and got off my butt and worked out...but it was 8:30!!!  Oh well...better late than never!!!!  I am back up to my normal workout level too.  For awhile I just couldn't keep up with my old workout level with my sinuses acting up.  But the last few days I had the tension turned up to my normal level and I have been going the full hour.  Yeah!!!!

Today I am going to go do groceries after work and then workout.  That's it for me what about you guys.

Well I have to go get ready now...have a good day all....see you all later.

Between here and the tv today.  I am trying to make the jump from functional to object oriented programming.  Right now it just seems like an extra layer of complexity for those who must speak a people language instead of a math or machine language.

Trying to decide on soup or ham for breakfast.

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning,

Yesterday I really was upset with myself. I decided it was time to check the clothing I want to take to Vegas with me. Remember, I have gained weight in the past year, due to lapband being empty. I was able to find tops that were still good, but no capris. I finally located them in the uppermost corner of the closet. There is only 1 pair that I would take on vacation with me. So, I guess I will have to break down and buy a pair or two. I didnot want to, since I know revision is coming up soon, but like Hubert said. I will be back to work before I get the weight off.

Today, I need to go get a few things at Walmart and the $Tree. We will be meeting friends for dinner tonight. Then home to watch Survivor.

Hugs to All,

LISA

Lisa-  Cuffed capris are in style now...so if you have a pair of jeans or slacks that run a little short you can just roll them up a bit.  I have done that in the past with jeans.  And I only had to roll them up twice and they pasted for cropped pants which is a bit longer than capris.  Also because I am tall I have gone to the Goodwill and bought petite size jeans in my size and just one roll and they are like capris on me.  And since cuffed pants/jeans are in style...I am all set to go!!!!  I have been doing this for 2 years now and no one ever knows what I'm doing till I tell them and then they think I'm a genius...hahaha!!!

Norma,

We will all be thinking of you tomorrow. Please post afterward and let us know how you are doing. Remember, Sip, Sip, Sip, and walk, walk,  walk , then sip some more.

Good Morning Everyone!

I agree with Crystal, it is hump day.  Yeah!    I am ready for the week to be over.  I opted out of my crazy new schedule.  I figured out that by 2 pm on a normal day I have had 2 breaks and a lunch break and am almost ready to go home as it is.  If I kept the schedule, it would mean no lunch and only 2 potty breaks in 7 hours.  Remember, we are glued to our phones.

I will try again in May and hope that I get a full day every week.   For now I will just ask for time off when we are not busy.

Today I go to the kidney doctor.  I am not looking forward to explaining my illness last fall when I ended up in the hospital.  He was on vacation at the time.  I feel like a kid reporting to the principal.

Nothing else is happening today.  Such an exciting life.

Crystal, I never could be underhanded either.  I dont know how some people do what they do.  Your chicken sounds really yummy.  We will have to try that..  Of course last night Rick told me he did not do ovens when I handed him a new recipe.    I told the cats we needed a new daddy.  He does the cooking.  But the funny thing was he got up immediately and decided that we had all the ingredients for the recipe.

Lisa, you sure have a busy week.  It will be a whirlwind and before you know it you will be on that plane.  Be forgiving to yourself on your weight.  You are taking charge again so dont fret over it.

Janet, keeping up with your grandkids has to be a challenge.  I would be worn out at the end of the day.  Glad it is you and not me.  I love kids but .....

Chris, I dont think you have to worry about collars on your blouses.  I think sweaters and some blouses can be dressy enough without a collar.  I am sure you are very appropriately dressed.

Randy, I think you are someone to be admired for what you do.  I have no clue to some of that computer language and have never attempted to write a program.  You are awesome!

Sharon, tomorrow is the day you spend with your grandbabies.  Such a fun thing to look forward to.

Norma, prayers for a perfect surgery tomorrow and a speedy recovery.

Dawn, positive vibes coming to you today.  It is exciting to be planning a road trip.  You all will have an awesome time.

Georgie, I know you are out there!  Hello and hope all is well.

Everyone have a great day and remember to smile!  It will keep everyone off guard!

Anyone who produces reports in Excel is at least as smart as me and could have fun by going to codeacademy and working through the Python class at least as far as dictionaries.

The reason I want collared shirts is because I have a few items of clothing that would be complemented by a shirt with a collar. I also have a longer neck (not real long) and it would look good with a collar.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

That chicken sounds yummy and easy.  I am trying the beer chicken today using the Todd's home brew.  When he first tried the beer, it was flat and he was upset that he lost the whole batch.  That was a couple/few months ago.  I decided to use it for recipes and it seems pretty fizzy to me.  I took it to him last night after pouring most of the bottle over the chicken and he was pleased!  Yippee!  I guess it just needed to brew a little longer.

I am going to try the Guiness Corned Beef recipe this weekend as I love corned beef, but my family.......not so much.  The recipe says that it tastes WAY better than regular, so I will try for a small brisket and can maybe turn my family.

I am NOT a beer drinker so I am not even tempted by any of these recipes.  For me, beer is only good for cooking and conditioning my hair.

Speaking of temptation:  I am happy with myself.  I learned a new (to me) thing last night.  Yesterday was a very hectic and trying day at work.  When I left, I REALLY wanted to stop for maybe just a little drink.  Maybe a half-pint to take home......

Todd's mantra to me has been, "NO STOPS or side trips" on my way home.  Well......that is almost impossible.  I need gas and groceries and shampoo........Anyway......I kept thinking that "just a little" would be ok, needed even.  I resisted and by the time I got to Winnebago for gas, the urge had passed and I was happy with my water.   The lesson being that cravings DO pass!

I just kept thinking the AA slogans of......one is too many, a minute at a time.....thinking of Liv, etc.......  I DID NOT STOP!  Once I got home, I made dinner.  I thought that I should go to the Playhouse and confront the Board about the farce that is the current show (and while I was out, maybe pick up a "little").  I then decided that the safest place for me was at home.  Last thing I needed was to go there, get upset and decide to hit the bar across the street.  So......another day under my belt.

Now....if I can learn to do that with food, I will be doing well.  I have noticed that if I do not give in to an alcohol craving, I get a food craving.  Soon, I will get back to exercising to help with both, I hope.

Tonight, we are all going to sit down and discuss the college trip.  I am excited for Liv that she is interested in doing this and excited that we get to help with the decision.

I will be thinking of Norma and wishing an uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery tomorrow.

Yesterday was one year since my ankle surgery and the weather was close to 80.  Spring WILL come.....eventually.

Thanks again for letting me share my new journey.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Tell someone that you love them!
