Hello , I'm up early today, Ron is sick , he has a bad cold, I'm worried about my surgery Thursday. He's determined to be there but I think he should let our daughters step in. On the other hand I couldn't stand not being there for him either.

Nancy, those work hours do make for bad day, is it definite?  Dawn you can and will over come the problems. You seem to like working at the airport , is it a large place? Our daughter is at O'Hare in reservations. She likes her work and loves the benefits of us getting to fly for free. She has flown to Boston and New Orleans for lunch. Crazy. I don't like to fly.

I hope you all can enjoy this sun shiny day.      Norma

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois:

I am back at work, as usual.  My boss is leaving for Florida again on Thursday and that will be good.  I went home last night and made Shepard's Pie for Liv and Todd and ate the meat and veggies with a small amount of the potatoes.  I have never made it before and besides my 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup, they ate the whole 9 x 13 inch pan!  Who knew something so simple could make them so happy?

Looks like I am going on vacation the last week of this month!  Olivia wants to do college visits during her Spring Break so I guess we are doing a ROAD TRIP!  She wants to visit the University of Miami, Coastal Carolina, UNCW and Roger Williams in Rhode Island.  HUGE circle.  I told Todd that I will agree if we can do it and have some fun.  Not be road-rage warriors.  So.........if things shake out, I could be on the beach in 2 weeks!

I am taking my problem one day at a time, one hour at a time.  I REALLY APPRECIATE all of your kind words and support.  It really means a lot to me to have such a loving, caring family of friends.  I KNOW I can do this with lots of help and support.  I am going to see if I might be able to find a meeting at lunch.

Norma------SO glad you came out of hiding!  I am also very flattered that you know me so well.  What type of surgery are you having on Thursday?  I will be thinking of you and sending healing energy.

Thanks again to everyone!  I am humbled by the outpouring of support!

Beach, did I hear the word beach? I would give up the trip to Vegas for the beach! NOT!

I hope the trip works for you and Liv. Will Todd be going too?

If we work it right, maybe 4-5 beaches!  Yes, Todd will be coming too.  That way, we can all be on the same page when choosing schools.  She would also like to visit some on the west coast at a later date.

You can't miss your daughter's wedding for the beach, but I hear a couple of the hotels have "beach like" atmospheres.

Lisa, that's the kind of vacation I like, A road trip, but instead of colleges  I'd like to follow the trail of the barn quilts in Kentucky. I read about the one in Indiana that has flower gardens planted like quilts, but for now the road leads to Silver Cross Hospital where Dr. Joyce will operate on my hernia.     Norma

I'm so sorry, I told you all I don't know how to post. I can't find the edit. This was meant for Dawn.

Thanks ok!!!  I'm sure we both figured it out.  Funny-----the website that I used to map it out is called "www.myscenicdrives.com" and they have some pre-planned scenic drives.  Probably the couple that you speak of.  Unfortunately, we will be going for speed more than scenery.

Good luck and I will be thinking of you.

Dawn -  I have always wanted to try a Shepard's pie recipe but never have (I don't know why).  Maybe I will this weekend...hmmm???  I would do it without any peas...yuck.  I would do corn instead.  And I would cut the recipe in 1/2....because it's just me.  Hmmm...I think I am talking myself into trying the recipe.

Your trip sounds exciting because it's a college trip.  Oh Liv is in for the most exciting time of her life.  I always wanted Amanda to go to a traditional 4 year college and have that college experience (that I never had).  And I am so happy she did because it really was the happiest 4 years of her life and she met her husband there too!!!  She went from being this timid little girl to this confident independent woman in just 4 years(Literally I was supporting her completely financially in the beginning and by the time she graduated the only thing I was paying for was her cell phone!!) ....it's awesome to watch!!!!  I'm excited for Liv and I never even met her...but I feel like I know her!!!

I hope things went well for you today and you are one of the most beautiful people I know inside and out!!!!

Hey, that sounds like an awesome road trip!  Too bad Gage only went to one college for his tour and decided he had found it.  Love at first sight.  So no road trips for us!

I hope it all works out.  I sure could use some beach time right now!   Enjoy!

HiYa my dear ones,

My internet took a break this am and I was forced to have my coffee by myself instead of with all of you like I do everyday.

I have been spring cleaning today. I have been moving furniture and cleaning and clearing. I am determined to be done by the end of the week. We will see.

I miss swimming and water aerobis everyday. I had stopped to try an experiment to see if the ever present anal fissure might heal , but after 5 weeks of no pool, the darn thing is still alive and well so I am returning to the pool next week. I enjoy the elliptical but land  exercise bores me to tears. I could swim all day. I am so excited about returning.

I have to go pick up my darling hubby from O'Hare at 7:30p tonight. It was nice to have the house to myself for 2 days, but I am ready for my better-half to come home. It is lonely around here w/o him.

I know I am a newbie to this forum, but i consider all of you; friends. I was so proud of the way you all rallied around our dear one, Dawn. What an amazing group of people you are.

Hugs everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharon
