Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Yesterday proved to be a busy day...as usual and even had a redneck hit on me (yuck).  Everyone in the office could hear him and I was stuck just trying to be nice to the guy.  I'm at work I have to be professional I can't very well tell him to kiss my butt.  But some of the girls were having their fun and IMing me as he was talking to me and I was trying to ignore them!!!  On the bright side they haven't ordered food at work in awhile (almost 2 weeks).  I noticed that the other day and I think the next time they do order it will be Chinese...I hate Chinese...yuck!!!  So no temptation there.  Now that I said all tha****ch they will order pizza for lunch today!!! 

Lately I have been bringing my breakfast to work because I my stomach just doesn't feel ready or unsettled for food so early.  So I eat at my desk at 8am...instead at home at 6am.  I think it's all of the post nasal drip.  The river of mucous is constant and I think in the morning it's too much...especially when I have my meds to take too.  I just would rather take my time and eat at work than rush at home. 

I mentioned to Nancy how I am glad it is daylight out longer.   I worked out last night after work and when I got home it was still light outside.  And my first thought was stalker guy can no longer see me from his apartment!!!  Yeah!!! 

Today I only have work and working out.  No big plans for me. How about you guys???

Wow, yesterday was one busy day on OH! It shows how we all pull together when one of our own is having issues. We should be proud how we all stand together in time of need. Just like a real family.

I am trying to get my stuff together for Las Vegas. I have everything out except for my capri's. So far I have emptied all but the topmost   shelve in the the closet. I hope they are there, since I really don't want to buy anything, with my revision right around the corner, hopefully. I am hoping for April.

Nothing happening this week, other then a few dinners out, but next week looks crazy.

Saturday- dinner in Yorkville

Monday- Dr. Sauri, EGV

Wed- dinner with friends

Thursday- Back to Dr. Hart

Friday- Yorkville- manicure

Saturday- Birthday party in Springfield

Sunday- Vegas.

Lisa- I am sure everyone in the family is getting very excited.  Tell us more about the wedding.  Where is it being held, what are her colors, is there any thing special or different about her wedding (like Amanda and her bridesmaids went barefoot). 

Good Morning Everyone!

Well it was a little lighter out driving to work this morning so we will have light back in the mornings in a couple of weeks.  That is a relief.  Yesterday it was just so dark out!   Crystal, I am sure it is nice to be able to work out and not have the whole complex looking at you in a fishbowl.

I'm sorry you are getting hit on by a bunch of loosers.  Where are all the good guys?  They need to come out of hiding.  You are such a catch.  They do not know what they are missing. 

Over the weekend I got new curtains for my kitchen hung.  I could not believe how hard it is to find kitchen curtains.  Everything has a pattern and my wall paper is patterned.  So I ordered them on line.  Should have done that from the get go.  I found what I was looking for immediately. 

I got my schedule for the "new flex time" and I hate it.  It looks like they are not going to give out single days a week off.  So I probably will not do it this year.  I am really bummed.  I really enjoyed working 4 days a week last summer.  Now they have me scheduled for leaving at 12:30 on Mondays and Fridays which isn't bad but then they have me leaving at 2PM the rest of the week with no lunch time.  So that is working 7 hours without lunch.  There are 2 breaks but still that makes a really long day.  If I cant have a single day off I dont think I am going to do this for the summer. 

Dawn, positive thoughts to you today.  Remember, it is one day at a time.  YOU can do this! You did great yesterday.

Sharon, I wish I had a day home in my pj's.  I was jealous when I read your post.  Sounds like my kind of day!

Yes! I have been disciplined in that I have my clothing hanging in the closet for me to wear for close to 6-7 working days. I can rotate many of the pieces to go with other slacks, sweaters, jackets or tops. For me that is 4 work days and 1 casual Friday, meaning jeans . . . I have all of the outfits put together and when I come home from work I change and then bring my next days clothing down including the undies & jewelry together for the next morning. I have even been making my lunch the night before and do not have that stress in the morning. All I have to put on is my make-up which is 5 minutes fast as I use Bare Minerals. I did not wear make-up when in uniform because I did not care, now I care. SIGH - a breath of fresh air in my mentality and I think I can last there several years longer. I do need to find some collared shirts at the resale shop as I do not have many Business Causal ones of those. I do have a "Clothes Mentor" near us in Schaumburg. All of this is a big change for my life in that I have lived for 33 years in a uniform. WHOA! I need to make more jewelry in different colors!

Nancy-  I don't know where the good guys are...maybe they are all married, gay or dead???  Oh I really do love hanging out with my gay guy friends....they are so much fun.  And I haven't done that in awhile...we are supposed to go gay guy bar hopping...sometime.  That's fun because you don't have to worry about guy****ting on you...hahaha!!!!

About your schedule...it does sound better (except for not having lunch) you get to leave early!!!  Do they allow you to eat at your desk???  Because what I would do is on my break I would get my lunch and eat at my desk.  Heck ya, then leave early...I would sooo be eating my desk to leave at noon or 2!!!!  I eat at my desk now...what am taking about.  I am sure people are thinking she sounds funny when I answer the phone.  Well that's because I have blueberries in my mouth!!!!

We are not allowed to eat at our desks.  God forbid if we answer the phone and have food in our mouth.  The monitors will go crazy!    I decided to opt out of this crazy schedule for now.  By 2 pm I have usually had both breaks and lunch and on the final of my day.  I am out by 3:30.  I will re enroll in May when it gets slower.  Then it should be back to getting a day off each week and not chopped up.  Next week was just that weeks schedule.  It would change every week and I decided I did not want that.  Others have also decided that so they may make adjustments after they find out no one wants a cruddy schedule.

What a week Lisa! I'll be thinking of you! I have spinning this AM and a haircut. Then I will pack for Arkansas and get the paperwork done on the car we are buying for my son Daniel. the dealer is keeping the car so we don't have to move it around till we are ready to pack it. What a nice guy! Friday we have lunch with my mom in St. Louis so we'll be getting an early start.

Otherwise, the week is pretty normal--knitting and reading. LOL

Janet-  Oh I have met Hot guy and even talked to him on several occasions...but it never goes beyond small talk.  I'm not ever going to be bold enough to ask him out or even flirt and I don't think he would ever ask me...he''s wayyy too hot.  But oh well he's nice to look at and he does bring entertainment to my life...and to the lives of the people on Facebook too...hahaha!!!!
