Monday Roll Call

Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Riley came over on Friday evening and we made lots of good stuff!  Lotion bars, some with cocoa butter that smell just like a Hershey Bar!  We also made oatmeal shower bags.

Saturday, we made more lotion bars, these with the raw shea butter and essential oils for scent.  We also made sugar scrub and for the life of me, I can't get her to go light-handed on the coloring.    So, after she left, I had to add lots more stuff to try to tone it down.  Nobody wants sugar scrub that dyes you colors!

Saturday night, Todd and I had a good talk about my problem and he seems to finally understand that it is not a joke, and I really need his support.  I thought I would have to check into a hospital, but in the end, a bit of peace came over me and I managed not to take that first drink all day.  This is amazing as I was home alone.  I made a nice dinner and relaxed and read.

After dinner, I watched my show, then took a nice, hot "de-tox" bath and went to bed.  Got up this morning feeling pretty positive.

I spent my lunch time today with a very supportive friend (and one of hers) and learned some things that will help me DO this.

So.......one hour at a time is about where I am at at the moment.  I apologize for not "being here" as much as I used to, but I WILL get my life back and be the person I want to be.

Dawn-  I'm glad you did well on your first day.  And your bath sounds absolutely relaxing!!!  Just remember that there will days you feel a little down...but don't worry...that happens.  And for every gray cloud there will be a sunny day to follow!!!!

It's 3pm and I am still in my robe....what does that tell you????????

I have never been off the Monday after the time change and have always wanted to be. So since I am off  I decided to do nothing today. So far I am pretty happy and content. A couple times I thought about getting dressed and then thought, nah. 

I have tidied up a bit and am about to look for something to make for dinner.

Hope everyone is staying warm. It looks frigid out there. Time for a good cup of tea.........

Sharon-  Good for you...taking a lazy Monday. 

As for frigid...around the time you posted...Not really frigid, I would say chilly!!! 

Lisa-  I have had the same thing happen to my posts before too.  My theory is that the posts go to the same place the lost socks go from the laundry!!!!
