Help finding surgon who takes illinois public aid health insurance

 I had been working for 3 yrs with my primary dr to loss weight or look at surgery if we cant find a way to lose weight well its the end of 3 yrs and i am out of work for the first time in my 44 yr life i have worked since i was 15 and now i dont have a job i now have illinois state public aid health insurance i believe its medicade anyways my dr dosnt take it so i have this great new dr  she went over all the other drs records and feels its been too long and is time to look into gastric bypass and i agree. now the hunt is on for someone who will do it with medicade and knows how to get this covered and not have to wait another 3 years i am not getting any younger and neither is my son and i want a better life with him and longer life

Hi , I know my Surgeon will Dr Lawrence Gibson in Gurnee i am in Rockford . They will first ask you to go to a seminar you can call and ask when the next one will be  847-856-2525, after you register and attend you will have to go back to have 1st surgeons appointment , nutritionist and physiologist. They might ask you to do 6 months of weight management appointments with your new Dr and go from there. I know its a bit far but they will work with you if you let them know where u are coming from and help you set the 1 st 3 appointments on the same day as i did . Hope this helps.
