Saturday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I had a change of plans late last night.  I came home and ate dinner.  Then was invited to go out to a comedy club at the last minute...and it was free.  It was really last minute...I had to get ready in 15 minutes!!!  So I didn't workout.  But I had a good time...I never went to a comedy club before and we sat right up front too.  And at first that made me nervous, because I thought they will pick on us.  They did...but it was fun when they did...hahaha!!!!   

At work I have to tell you I get second guessed all of the time.  A customer will call one of the billers and say "I already paid that invoice on check 1234" and the biller will ask me to pull a copy of that check and make sure I applied the check to their account properly.  This happens at least 3-5 times a week or more.  And every time it happens I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach and I think to myself...did I apply their check wrong???  Not that I would get in big trouble (I guess I would if happened all of the time).  But I still always dread looking at that check and seeing if I did something wrong.  Then I pull the check and I was right!!!  What are these customers thinking???  Do they not keep accurate records???  But yesterday was the weirdest one of all!!!  I was asked to pull a check to see if a customer paid this invoice.  Well I pulled the check and there was the invoice the customer said they paid!!!  BUT I had a note I put on the check that said the invoice wasn't in the system and to apply the money to another invoice ...but I am looking at the computer and the invoice IS IN THE SYSTEM!!!!  So I am staring at the computer screen and trying to figure out WHY, WHY did I think the invoice wasn't in the system, when clearly it is???  Then all of the sudden I notice it!!!  The date the invoice was entered!!!!  The invoice was entered 1/10/2013....the date I entered the check was 12/31/2012...so the invoice wasn't in the system when I got the check!!!  I was right!!!  But the weird thing is how did the customer know to pay an invoice that didn't even exsist yet????  But I didn't care about that...all I cared about was...I WAS VINDICATED!!!!  WOOHOO!!!!  I emailed my boss and she had me do a journal entry to switch the money over to the correct invoice.  That is one thing about accounting...everything you do is under a microscope...down to every penny. 

Today I will be working out, cleaning. running some errands and that will be it.  Of course that could change.  How about you guys...any special plans????

Good Morning everyone,

First I would like to say it feels good to be back. I am doing good with my food control, I have lost 9 lbs since Monday and am starting to feel better, no carbs for this girl.

Now today I have a tough meal coming up, we are going to Golden Corral with Hubby's  cousins, I will have to really  use my  will power. I am going to bring my own salad dressing, have salad fruit and some baked meat if they have it. I can do this.

This morning on protein supplement for this girl.

Not much else going on here. everyone have  a great day.

Knitting this morning and no real plans later. I downloaded samples of some of the books I heard about at the workshop, so I'll probably read some of those to see if I want to order the book.

No significant plans this weekend. The house is clean, wash is done, not the season to be outdoors. Sounds like I'm free.

Janet, I found Click protein in decaf and regular. If you  like coffee, it makes a great drink. Also Quest protein bars which the Vitamin Shoppe in Rockford carries: cinnamon, lemon and coconut are my favorites.

Lazy day for me.  I started out to walk earlier today and it was sleeting so I said screw it. My safety is more important. I did go out for two walks with last the one to the library to return the DVD Argo which was a great movie. I should not go into the library as I usually come back with donated books for me to read.

I am still pumped with my no uniform agenda.  My clothing is paired for the next two weeks, I have ordered a few more pair of slacks in colors I did not have and some shoes. I was always a shoe horse but never had a reason in recent years to buy any. Now this is starting to resurface. My sister told me of another website to visit called www.marylandsquare.com they go up to size 14 for women. I do not know if they all are stylish shoes but we will see. From what I have seen there are some cute styles for my size.

Hello Everyone!

I posted yesterday but my message disappeared!    By the time I realized it we were at the call level of all calls were coming in fast and furious and I never did have time to repost.  My supervisor reminded us earlier this week to check our schedules as we were entering our slower time.  I asked her if anyone had told our customers this as our call volume is still up 1-4% depending on the day.  I dont think anyone is paying attention.  I got my schedule for the week of March 18th and it looks like I will get extra time off as we are "not busy"    I'm glad I am getting time off but feel sorry for those left who will deal with the increased call volume.

Crystal, I cannot believe how many customers do no know whether they have paid their bills.  We get calls constantly asking "Do I owe any money?"  Well, if we billed you and you did not pay the bill, then yes you owe us money is what I would like to say.  I am just dumbfounded that they can run a business, charge things and not know if they owe their creditors.   

Janet, you ae doing great.  I know you have that will power in you.  You are really showing it.  9 lbs in one week?  Wow!  

Chris, congratulations on getting to wear normal clothes to work!  A uniform would be boring!

Lisa, I have gone back to my cpap after I was in the hospital last fall.  Our heart doctor was the one *****ally gave me a hard time for not using it.  He has me back on it.  I swithched the type of mask I was using so that helps.  

Connie, I am glad you had a great workshop.  It is really nice to go to something worthwhile and come away feeling great.

Hi Y'All,

I had to work again today and then we went to the Oz movie. It's a pre-quel to the original and I must say it was good. 

My hubby is going to Orlando for work so I have to get up at the butt-crack and drive him to O'Hare. Of course he has to be at the airport by 6 and of course it is the morning after pushing the clocks forward....

When i took the cats in for their sniffles a little over a week ago, I noticed they all had a runny eye as well. The vet told me the eye would clear up and it never did,. Now i have to take them back in again! Is this how they make more money???????? I tried to call the vet and ask if I could just have an ointment or drops or a cream but he said no; I have to bring them in again. I'm peeved about this. I've been going to the same vet for over 10 years. You'd think they would cut me a little slack. 

Lisa, did they cut your unemployment due to the cuts? I cannot believe it! I got a letter that my unemployment is going to be cut due to the issues between the big jerks and the bigger jerks. I barely get it now because of my pittance of a part-time job, and now they are going to cut my unemployment if i do get a check Really? . Why dont they cut their big paychecks. instead!?!?!?!?!?!?

I think I'm seeing red tonight because I am hungry. LOL Maybe i better get some food and get ready for some zzzzzzz's.
