Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am so glad it's Friday...yeah!!!!

I had so much temptation yesterday it was freaking crazy!!! First a former employee came by selling her left over Girl Scout cookies and I was soooo tempted to get some Thin Mints.  You have no idea.  I just had to tell myself...you already had your fill you don't need anymore.   Then a coworker, just trying to be nice, bought me a whole bag of Werthers!!!  I love those things.  I stopped myself after 2 servings!!!  Then they were ordering lunch out (the company wasn't paying) but they were going to Portillos...and I love Portillios...but I said no thank you and stuck with my already planned lunch!!!  I just kept thinking...if you just wait a little longer you will be eating Chipotle!!!  So I just took comfort in that.  Why is it so hard to say no???

So here it goes another day...will there be more temptations...probably.  I will stuff an apple in my mouth if any one tempts me!!!

Well my plans for today are work and working out.  After work I have some errands to run and then of course Chipotle.  Then I am going to come home and try out a smoothie recipe I found on pinterest...it has cocoa!!!!  Then that's it.

Time to get ready for work...have a good day all...see ya later..bye

Hi Peeps,

Crystal, I used to love Portillos. But lately not so much. They put a new one close to our house on Route 30 by the new White Castle. Ugh! I'm glad i dont long for them anymore. My fatal weakness is pizza and good fried chicken like White Fence farm. It would be hard to work where you work Crystal, the battle would be endless. You are amazing about your choices.

I'm in  a bit of a rush this morning. I have to work and i have 50 stops. They called me late last night because someone called off. I then have 2 wakes tonight...one in Lemont and one in Lansing. Both family members of church friends.

I hear it's going to warm up to 40 degrees today. Love it! Spring is right around the corner.

Have a lovely day my dear ones.

Hugs,

Sharon

Sharon- I do a pizza on tortilla and use regular pizza sauce and cheese and it comes in way under 400 calories. I don't do low/fat free versions of things any more just because of the chemical junk in them. If you did do that it would be less calories but I sacrifice calories for wholesome food. It's not as good as real pizza but it does curb the cravings. And after awhile I kind of forget what real pizza taste like and this actually is very tasted to me.

Oh and I love white castles too!!! I used to be a fast food junkie. I ate at fast food places probably 5-10 times week. Now I go a couple of times a year. Can you imagine all if the grease I consumed!!! Geeze it's no wonder I didn't clog my arteries completely. I was a burger and fries person and I ate them almost every day sometime twice a day.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Happy Friday,

Well, yesterday I saw Dr. Hart. He said my numbers were up, since the last time I did the testing. Of course they are, the last time I saw him, I was 5 weeks out from open heart. Anyway, Basically he told me I HAD to wear the c-pat machine to sleep with.Of course they say that is a cure for everything, heart problems, strokes, ect, ect, ect. He even said that was the cause of my leg swelling, and weight gain.  Really, They asked if i had a problem with hearing? What does that have to do with it. I did tell him yes on that, and before he could say anymore, I told him it was from birth.

We did find a great place to eat in Minooka coming home. It is the Shrimp Barn. I think it has become my new favorite place to eat.

I think i will be picking up the house today. Heading back up to Alexian Bros tomorrow for a meeting. At least the weather won't be to bad.

Hugs, LISA

Lisa, I am unfamiliar with a "C-Pat" machine. Is it different than a "C-Pap"?

How long do you need to use the machine before he approves you?

I spent a couple of lazy days during lunch. I usually walk for a minimum of a mile at lunch but the last two days I just think I needed to stay in and eat lunch.

I asked my Chief a week ago Tuesday if I could go out of uniform and go into business casual and was granted my wish on Wednesday. I am so tired of a uniform after 33+ years especially with loosing weight and developing my "style". Wednesday was one of those lazy lunch days and feel that it was God ordained that I "happened" into the lunch room with him and the other deputy chiefs. They all entered into the decision. I am having so much fun paring up my wardrobe. I have enough clothing to make outfits for the rest of winter and more than likely will not duplicate an outfit more than once. I am now finding shoes to wear but need something for a custom orthotic. I too have a difficult time with shoes as I wear a 11.5 to 12. For the rest of you try www.bamason.com for shoes as they do have shoes in the larger sizes.

Off to the Legion for fish fry.

Connie, sorry I have not heard of them. I did find them on line and they are located in Rolling Meadows on Kirchoff Rd. I will consider them.

Hello, I enjoyed this beautiful day, I hope you all did too. We went to the antique show at the Channahon Methodist Church today. I was hoping to find another pie bird but no luck this year, they appraised Ron's old train set and my wood bowl with the long handle.I thought it had been a collection bowl at church but he said it could have been to wipe scraps into when a table was cleared. Either way it's old, pretty and handmade. I passed on the bake sale although i really looked a long time.   Norma
