Hello everyone

Well the snow will be upon us shortly!!!  And it's all they talk about on the news and they are closing the schools already.  They don't even know if the weathermen are correct...a snowflake hasn't even fallen yet!!!  When I was a kid there had to be a lot snow on the ground before they closed the school!!!

I had a very busy and frustrating day.  I am still doing stuff for the auditors.  But what needs to be done now is...as payments are received for invoices on their list I make all of the copies of all of the documents and send it to them.  This is much easier because I haven't filed everything away yet and when I am printing the documents I can just print 2 of eveything...instead of having to make copies.  But what REALLY frustrated and ticked me off yesterday was they sent a updated list of the items they still needed....and 8 of them were things I already gave them!!!!  Oh I was soooo mad!!!  Now I did make copies of every thing I gave them...but the problem is I have a huge stacks of paperwork.  I decided it would take longer to look through the stacks than to just repull the file and recopy everything!!!!  It just makes me mad when people don't do their job right!!!

No big plans for me today....how about you guys???

I got to get going...see ya on the flip side...bye

Good Morning Everyone,

The snow started here before 6. Big flakes that are sticking like glue. I have no need to leave the house this morning or later today either.

I did get out yesterday to get a hair trim. She took 2 inches off of it, and it looks and feels so much better.I will do my own coloring later this month. I do like to have them do my coloring, but since I am off work,  I really can't see spending the money.

Today sounds like a comfort food day. I think i will make some chicken and noodles.

Dawn, Crystal and Nancy, please be careful on your way to work today. It is going to be a mess ou there. Christine, Be careful walking to work. Connie, knit at home today, Karen, hopefully you won't have to drive the bus in the snow today. Randy, I think you will have an adventure taking CTA today.

Hugs,

LISA

Hi Friends,

We are getting plastered by big flakes in Lockport. I am not going anywhere today, like you Lisa. I am going to just get some cleaning done and catch up on homework for all my house groups today. It is days like today that I cherish my flexible schedule.

Randy, since you take buses and do a lot of walking how are you in this weather? I have those ice cleats that I attach to my boots to to keep me from slipping. If I didnt have them, my butt would stay plastered to the sidewalk. I am not steady on the ice otherwise.

I pray for safe travel for my dear ones and their family members who must go out in this today....that includes our new friend Norma who has to go to Silver.

Later, I am going to put a pot roast in the oven with root veggies. Tonight our group leader is having her birthday so we are going to surprise her with a small shindig.

That's my day.

Please be safe.

Hugs,

Sharon

I used to ice skate so I am pretty good at keeping verticle and I wear my boots if it gets deep.

Sharon-  I have those cleats too.  Mine are called Spikies...I love them...they are wonderful!!!  I can walk like normal even on ice.  Everyone around me is shuffling a long slowly and I'm just strolling right by like nothing.  Someone even asked me how I had such good balance...and I showed them.

I got them because my old job was located in a huge building and the management was terrible about salting the sidewalk and parking lot.  It was so bad that one time I was walking on an handicap incline (you know so they can cross the street)...and I couldn't get up the incline...I would walk 2 steps and slide back down.  It would be comical if wasn't so dangerous!!!!  I finally had to just let myself slide down to the bottom and walk on the grass!!!  When I got into work I sent the management a complaint...they said if I had any problems getting to my car I could be escorted by one of their security!!!  WHAT???  Like I'm an old lady or something???  I came on here and complained and Christie told me about them.  I bought them right away!!!

Good morning!

We already have a ton of snow here and the way it's coming down we'll have a lot more if it keeps on like this till evening. I didn't get to post yesterday until late evening and so I don't have much to say now. I am going to stay in and knit at home. I had planned to go out this AM before the snow got heavy, but it's already heavy here. I don't really need a Starbucks. (LOL)

I have lots of little stuff to do today that I've been putting off, so it will be a computer day as well. Hope electricity holds up!

Be safe!

Connie,

get yourself a Kurrig. I haven't had a Starbucks since Xmas. I have mudslide, carmel vanilla, butter toffee and a few other flavors. I didn't know I needed one until I got it as a gift.

Lisa/Connie,

I was a starbucks fiend until I got my keurig a couple years ago. Now I rarely go unless I am on the road and need a cup (rarely)

I get my pods at Costco. I have discovered an off brand that is 80 pods for 23 bucks. It is just as good as Verona starbucks and is rich, delish and sooooooo cheap.

I think I will go make myself another cup right now

Stay safe!

Sharon, Bed Bath and Beyond has a wall full of different brands. All yummy. This morning I have been drinking the Donut Shop, Decafe. I also have found that you can use each pod twice, which makes it cheaper yet.
