I haven't posted pictures in a long time so here I go....there were so many I had to pick and choose which ones to post. As you can see Amanda is really enjoying herself. I still wouldn't want to go there. I need hot showers,, heating and air conditioning, and I wouldn't want my kitchen outside.

The first ones are of Amanda and Charles' Summer school class (it's summer break there).

They are making a mural of the world...to help the children learn the continents, countries, and so on. She was telling me, a big majority of the kids couldn't locate the US on the map. So they aim to teach them in a fun and imaginative way...

All done and now the learning begins...

In this picture they are teaching the kids English

Awww...Amanda with some of her students

Daily life in Peru.......

FYI...they are doing laundry....the guy is the makeshift agitator!!!

And last but not least Amanda got a kitty!!!! You can see it above...but here are some super cute pics.

What awesome pics. Crystal, you have to be so proud of Amanda and your son-in-law. How many people can say their kids are humanitarians! Hugs, Sharon.

Such cool pictures.  Amanda looks so happy.  In one picture it looks like they are eating outside and that there is a giant tortilla shell with toppings.  Is that really what I am seeing?  Or am I just thinking food.

The kitty is adorable.  What did she name it?

Nancy- what they are doing in the picture is taking the corn kernels off the cob.

Amanda simply named the kitty "kitty"...I guess it sounds pretty to the Peruvians...I told her since the kitty was found in a corn field he should have a corn name like...corny, popcorn, corncob, maise...I even suggested corn-dog....hahahaha...I said that one was my favorite...she said of course it is!!!

Amanda looks so happy.

It takes special people to be able to do what they are doing.
