Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well yesterday I had somewhat of a relaxing day.  It was interrupted with a minor incident where I over watered my plants on my bookshelves and the water went down and got a bunch (when I say "bunch" I mean about 50" of my books wet!!!!  Oh I was so mad at myself...I could have kicked my butt!!!  It took 10 towels to clean the mess up!!!  I had had the fan going to dry of the books.  I dried the bookshelves off really well because I didn't want them warped.  Then I had to go wash the towels.  So it was a mess. 

On the bright side my crockpot beer chicken came out really tasty.  I was worried at first because when I first opened the lid the smell of beer hit me!!!  And I thought to myself....they said the alcohol would cook off!!!  Oh no!!!  I hate beer!!!  I used chicken legs.  So I tasted it and sure enough...it didn't taste like beer at all!!!  It was tender and yummy and a very easy recipe.  Of course my mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy.  I really enjoyed my dinner and I have enough chicken for two more nights.  That's one good thing about being single.  But tonight I'm not eating mac and cheese...

This snow that is coming is making me mad....I mean really!!!  Why Mr Winter must you save your best stuff for last!!!!  Grrr!!!!

Today I have nothing going on but work (today is my busy day...the day will fly by...yeah!!!!) and working out...how about you guys???

Well I better go dry my hair and get ready...see you guys on the same Bat-time and the same Bat-channel (I watch too much Big Bang Theory)...Bye

Hello Il Friends,

We are on our way to longer days soon since we are going to be pushing the clocks back next Sunday.  The days will be longer and I think it will effect us all in a positive way.

Connie, it looks cloudy here today...it's that snowy over-cast  look, so I think we may get something. Be safe today on your ride to the docs.

Today I am cleaning  and working out. Beyond that, who knows? I'd like to move my bedroom around, but I dont have many options. I always clean better when i move the furniture. I guess spring cleaning mode is in my brain. Crystal, spring is just around the corner.

Good Morning Everyone!

I think I blinked and the weekend went by.  I never did post.  I stayed busy most of the weekend and was on the computer very little.  By the time I got to it I would think "I'll post tomorrow, it is too late tonight"   I am a member of the I'll get around to it tomorrow" club.  Is anyone else a member? 

I am not happy about the snow either.  Rick went up to Hines today and then is going to see Gage.  I dont know if he will get back home tonight or not.  I worry about him on the roads in this mess. 

Yesterday  tried to find curtains for my kitchen but no luck.  I got home and went to Amazon and ended up buying almost the same thing I have.  Is that boring or not?

Tonight I need to pay some bills.  Such fun.  Let's watch the checking account get drained! 

Crystal, you did not share all of your laundry adventures from yesterday.  I am disappointed.    Your dinner sounds like it was yummy.

Sharon, I would love to do a good spring cleaning but the body is no longer able.  I have a terrible time finding people who know how to clean.  That totally aggravates me.  You pay them and they skip anything they can. 

Dawn, I am sending positive vibes and lots of healing energy and hugs out to you.  I hope you can get your issues solved. 

Lisa, it looks like April/May will be a busy time for you what with a wedding and your surgery.  What positive things to happen! 

Randy, when do you see the other surgeon for your hernias?  I hope they are not painful.  I love the idea of you being able to hang out with the other computer guys.  That sounds like fun!

Surgeon on the 20th.  Hernias only occasionally hurt if I eat too much or too fast or if I wear a belt for too long while bending and lifting.

Nancy...no laundry adventures.  Since I was forced into doing laundry sooner than usual (because of the disaster) I didn't run into Hot Guy.  And if I had done laundry at my regular scheduled time...I would have!!!  Because there he was walking by with his laundry.  But then I thought...better to keep him on his toes!!!  Keep him wondering...for once maybe I can drive him crazy for once!!  Plus I glad to get it of the way.  My sinuses are still bothering me and later in the day I was super lazy and just wanted to lay around.

I woke up this morning to NBC 5, Chicago saying 5 to 10 inches tomorrow. Did April Fools Day come early? I am so ready for winter to be over!!!

I have to go get some gas for the car today. Hubert too. I already warned him that he was paying for his own, and i will pay for mine. With his old car, he had a 14 gal tank, the "new ", one, is a 26 gal. tank. With not working, I am not going to fill his up. I will take care of mine, since I am the one that uses it. I know that sounds petty, but at 3.84 a gal, its almost 100.00 to fill his up, and mine is a 15 gal, it cost 57 to fill mine. And I know they both are below 1/4 tank.

I think I am going to stop and get my hair trimmed today. I was going to wait until closer to the wedding, but it is really bothering me. Plus, I will do my own coloring.

Has anyone ever done Groupon? I ordered tickets last night for a show in Vegas.We are taking Morgan to see Tony and Tina's Wedding. They were only 45 on Groupon, verse's 99 reg.

Randy-  I saw that on the news over the weekend...I guess it was a blessing I didn't get that job at Groupon.

I have done Groupon multiple times.  I have never had a problem with things I have purchased.  You should be fine! 

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I hate when I over-water my plants.  I have a bay window seat that is finished wood and it makes a mess and damages the finish.  I really love plants, but sometimes, I think I should go to silk.

Lisa----I do Groupon and Living Social quite often.  We just went to the Home show for $ 6.00 for two.  I have gotten quite a few hotels for quick get-aways with the family and lots of food deals.

I am still battling my demons and am trying to do it alone.  I would like to cave in and get help, but something tells me I SHOULD be able to handle it on my own.  The good thoughts are truly appreciated.

Typical weekend at my house.  I finally got around to watching "Magic Mike" to see what all the excitement was about.  I found it to be mindless entertainment.

Crystal-----I am listening to a really good book right now that you would like.  It is called, "So Cold the River" by Michael Koryta.

Connie---I just finished reading "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" and found it facinating and thought-provoking.  I also enjoyed, "Lucy" when I listened to it not long ago.  I think the next read will be, "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn, author of "Gone Girl".  I hope your visit with Dr. Garren went well.  We will have to get together.

I'd better get back to work.
