Friday Roll Call
Hi Chickies,
As Crystal said on FB.....TGIF!
Yesterday I spent the morning and afternoon with my grandbabies. it was divine. We went to Bible Study together, had lunch at Panera and then went back to their place and just played and played.
Later I went to house group and that too was amazing. We had open-prayer and it was awesome to feel His presence.
Today I am working. Yes! I have 50 stops to make so it will be a long day. Later we are going to our favorite Joliet spot, the American Legion for catfish. Yummo!
Have a great day my chick-a-dees!
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
It's Friday...Yeah!!!
I don't want to jinx anything but according to the 10 day forecast next Friday will be 50 degrees!!!
I am sooo glad...I am having problems sleeping but yet I am not tired. I need to read up on the side effects of the meds I'm on. I have tons of energy. My coworkers even remarked on how I was dancing around yesterday...and it's true I was literally dancing around.
I have some errands to do after work and then I will come home and workout...and of course it's Chipotle night. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about eating meat...I would hate to have to forego my Chipotle night. But I guess if I was Catholic that would be a good thing for me to give up...because I would really miss that!!! I think about that sometimes...what I give up if I had to?? Hmm??? Maybe, Chipotle or see that's hard because I gave up everything bad for me already I(Chipotle is the only regular treat I do anymore). So what's left to give up??? All I drink is water, green tea and crystal light. Snacks are always fruit, nuts and peanut butter. I have occasional bad things (cookies, cakes, brownies) but I try to limit that to once a month. Oh well. What are your plans for the day???
I have absolutely no plans this weekend...none. I will be bored....the good thing is that plans could change at a moments notice.
Well I got to get going almost time to go...have a fabulous Friday....Bye
Good Morning Everyone!
It's Friday! I am excited for the week to be over! We are starting a brand new month and it cant do anything but get warmer and not snow as much! The days are getting longer. Life is good!
Sharon, you had to mention Panera's, I LOVE that place. I am almost glad there is not one in a 50 mile radius of me or I would be a big pig. Such yummy food., Crystal mention how she did not care for Culvers. We have one of those and I dont really like them either. Their Chili is good but that is about it. Now if it was a Panera's ..... Sigh.
Sharon, it sounds like you have a really busy day. 50 homes??? How long does that take? I am so glad you got to spend time with your daughter and grandbabies yesterday. That is so wonderful. I am sure you just soaked up all that quality time.
Crystal, not sleeping well may just be a seasonal change. I am doing the same thing. I am waking up several times at night. I have no idea why. I hope you enjoy your weekend. By the way, how did your lunch with Monica go?
Dawn, I cannot believe the way the playhouse is jerking Liv around. I hope they realize what they are doing. That is ridiculous.
Randy, I am sure you are up to something today. Whatever it is, have fun!
Lisa, are you getting excited for your surgery? I imagine you would be just as excited as the first one. What a great time is ahead of you. Hope all the ducks get lined up smoothly.
Connie, where are you off to today?
Everyone have a great day!
Cat Lady
Nancy- Funny thing...I don't really Panera at all. The only thing I like there is their Mac & Cheese, that is so fattening and full of calories. I can't eat that. I don't like the sandwiches, soups, not even the bagels. Now Amanda loved their Mediterranean Veggie sandwich. And before she converted over to veggies only....I would always get her the potato soup in a bread bowl when she was sick...it kind of became a tradition. When she became vegetarian she had to give it up because it has bacon in it.
My lunch with Monica went well. She opened up about being full of anxiety because of problems with her step-son and the turmoil it is causing in the house. They know it's not drugs because they did an at home drug test...wow technology these days!!! I tried to give her some advice...because I was a troubled teenager (but I had a reason...look at my parents)...but I feel I know how they think. Monica was always so straight laced she has no idea. So I explained why I did some of things I did. Why I didn't care about my grades and why I seemed to take joy in getting in trouble at school. Why I would break rules or do things that I know I wasn't supposed to. She felt like she understood him a little better. By the way...I did the things I wasn't supposed to and broke the rules...because I thought I was old enough to do what I wanted...I know, I know I was stupid. As far as the grades go...well that was my own special situation. I just didn't have the time or the home environment to do homework. Not to mention when I was at home it was always work, work, work...cook, clean, watch your sister. SO when I was at school that was playtime...and play I did. So there is always a reason why a kid does what they do. I had a reason and I'm sure her son does too. I think she felt better.
Good morning!
Slept late today and so am even later getting on line. What I like at Culver's is the fried walleye they have during Lent. I take off the breading and eat the fi****'s delicious. We have a couple of Panera's here and I like the black bean soup. I also like that you can get fruit instead of chips with lunch. the rest of the stuff doesn't do much for me. We don't usually eat at chain restaurants but my spinning group meets at Panera's and I usually get one walleye meal during Lent. Wish they had it all year long.
Crystal, some people do Lent by doing something nice (and maybe secret) each day during Lent. I paid for part of a women's groceries the other day when she was $10 short. Made me feel great all day! I love to do that kind of stuff in Lent and it would be good to be that kind of person all year long. One of my friends had her Starbuck's bill paid by the car in front. That's a fun thing to do also.
Have a good day!

Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of Illinois!
TGIF! I agree! I just would love to be retired so I didn't have to keep track and keep coming back in to work! Can't with the lottery because I don't play. Oh well.
It seems that Liv is now the understudy and had to teach the lead her blocking last night. She has more commitment that I. I say if it is not fun, don't do it.
Todd wants to go to the Home Show this weekend, I would like to see "Identity Thief" and make lotion bars.
On another note: I want to ask for healing energy, good thoughts, vibes, prayers and whatever you do. I am not ready to share my burden, but I have been struggling for a long time with something. Each morning, I am ready to give in and ask for help, each afternoon, I feel I can handle it and each evening, I fall back down. I really want to be the positive, happy and healthy woman I was a couple of years ago.......I have lost my way. I am sure positive energy will help.
Know that I am thinking of you all and wishing you a spectacular day!
Isaiah 9:4
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
4 That will happen because you will lift the heavy yoke off their shoulders and take away their heavy burden. You will take away the rod that the enemy used to punish your people, as you did when you defeated Midian.[a]
Heavenly Father, I just ask You to come and be with your beautiful child, Dawn. Please release any stress or discomfort she is having Father. Please heal any places that need your attention. Put your holy protection around her Lord. Guide her family especially her children as they go about their lives. I ask for this in the name of your Son, for the glory to be only Yours. Amen
