Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I guess Old Man Winter is not going gentle into that good night....Winter is raging, raging against the dying of the light...Ok I'm done with the make-shift poetry for the day....and of course my blatant plagiarism of Dylan Thomas.

My day wad good yesterday.  It really makes a difference that I only have that 1 mile drive to work.  Does that make a difference in my day.  I used to dread the commute to and from work.  Weather like we had would stretch a 35 minute commute to over 2 hours!!!  Of course there was one time I was sitting in my car on I88 for over 4 hours.  Or the time I was sitting in traffic for 45 minutes and still being able to see the building I worked at in my rear view mirror!!!  Ugh!!!...Well no more of that!!!!

Today I have my doctor appointment.  I am hoping to get that Flonase.  I don't think I did as well with the weight loss.  With me being sick it slowed me down a bit.  I still worked out but the intensity isn't there.  I also ate more when I was on the steroids....it was mostly healthy food I ate more of...but calories are still calories and can still make you gain weight or keep you from losing.

I had to call in for my benefits last night (I was on hold for 35 minutes!!!).  I thought it was a weird time of the year to do it.  But this is when they do it.  Of course the amount I pay for my health insurance every week went up...but I will also pay more for doctor visits.  Now $35!!!!  Geeze that's getting expensive!!!!  And of course it's $50 for a specialist.  On the good side I get a discount for being healthy and a non-smoker.  But blah-blah-blah.  My insurance doesn't cover fills for my band...in fact they don't really cover any extras like chiropractic care or bariatric or any thing to do weight loss (like medicine).  I have a good basic insurance with no frills...but I miss my old insurance they covered everything.

So what are you guys up to today???

Well I got to finish getting ready now....have a good day all...bye

Good Morning,

It is a balmy 75' this morning, the sun is shining, a great pool day. I must be dreaming. It sounds nice, maybe within the next 90 days.

This evening, weather permitting, we are going out to dinner. We are just going to a family place about 1 blok from our house, but our friends who we go with, 5 miles out of town, in opposite directions. So, if they can't get into town, they will stay home.

In all my doings yesterday, I totally forgot to certify for unemployment. I thought of it about 8 last night. So, I will try this morning. (Teleserve closes at 7:30)

It looks like we are getting a really fine snow at this time. There is alight haze.

Keep warm, keep safe.

HUGS,

LISA

Hi IL Snow Bunnies,

We did not get much snow here.It snowed for 6 hours off and on but the rain at rush hour last night pretty much melted 50% of the snow.

My hubby has been working out with me at the gym for the past couple days. He loves it!  I know it's the trainer. He is so positive and encouraging. He has a way of making me want to please him. Apparently, Grathell feels the same way. It was nice to work out together last night. What a difference a week makes. Grathell has been eating clean and it has really made my dieting so easy this week.

I have been on new vitamins/supplements for a week and I feel amazing. It is from a company called Usana. Has anyone ever heard of them? My pastors are on it and they swear by them. Anyway, they are one of those companies that sell things like a pyramid (I hate that). So in order to buy them at a discount I have to go to one of those stupid "meetings". So I am doing that today in Wheaton. After that I am working out and then I have a ton of reading to do for my 2 house-groups.

Crystal, I know what you mean about insurance. It seems like it is costing more and we are getting less. Chiropractic care is health maintenance and should be covered by all plans. I dont understand why it's not, especially  the HMO's. Who knows what the future brings in regards to health care in the not too distant future.

Randy it sounds like you stay busy with school and career planning. I wish I had the where with all to be as diligent. I do plan to go to Work-Force in Joliet and look into career/school placement. It is required by unemployment and it sounds interesting.

Crystal, it is hard to stay on course when your allergies are bad. My eyes have been watery and my ears and throat  itchy. It wears me out faster. I cannot work out as hard when I feel like this.

Lisa, yep it is easy to forget to recert because it is every-other week. I've done that.

Stay warm and safe Bunnies.

Hugs,

Sharon

Sharon-  that's exactly my problem...no endurance and no umph!!!  I have had to lower the tension on the elliptical just so I can make it 50 minutes!!!  I know it's only temporary but it's still frustrating!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

We now have about 6 inches of snow with more to come!  But the roads are not too bad.  Last night when I came home from work only the main streets were plowed.  Rick and the neighbor had cleared the driveway so I could get in the house.  This morning all the roads had been plowed.

Smokey was so cute.  He kep****ching the snow fall wondering what that stuff was.

Today it is work and home.

last night I had the pleasure of fighting my flexible spending account.  They denied my coverage for prescriptions.  I found out I had not received my new card so I have to wait for it as the number may now change.  Then I had to cough up money to pay for my drug bill for January and for 2 other drugs so that I could receive them.  Nice.  That money was already taken out of my paycheck.  I also found out that I have some leg work to do as the spending account is too lazy to contact the people they paid money to and ask for receipts.  Sigh.

Lisa, you should have no problems going out to dinner tonight.  Also if the country roads get plowed your friends should be able to join you.  I think this stuff is too heavy to drift.

Randy, you are a busy bee today!  Keep up the good works.

Sharon, good going to get your hubby to exercise.

Rick finally is getting an appointment with an endocrinologist.   I have been pushing this.  He has been messing around with physician assistants and pharmacy techs with the VA and I want him to see a specialist and be done with this mess.  I really think he need to have the type of insulin changed.

Everyone have a great day!

HI, I tried to post this morning but it wouldn't go up. We went knitting and the roads were totally clear. It was fun to be with friends. I am enough of a people person that I want to connect  with folks most days.

Have a good day. I hope you had a great day!
