Good Morning,

Another sunny day on tap for us, but they are saying that this will be the best day this week.I fear winter is not going to leave quietly.

No major plans for today. Actually,  it is looking like a quiet week. I do want to go over the taxes today, and get them sent in.

Hugs,

LISA

Hello everyone

I know I am not looking forward.  I am watching WGN and they were just showing the forecast for Joliet...6.5 inches of snow!!!  Come on!!!  It's almost March...Winter just let us go!!!!

I had a good busy day yesterday.  I worked out and showered and got ready.  I went and met some friends.  Initially we were meeting at Portillios but they have no Wifi....so we ended up going to Culvers.  Which is fine....the only thing that tempted me was the ice cream (but I stayed away).  The last time I had a burger there...I really didn't like it.  I had a plain grilled chicken and took off the top bun and picked away most of the bottom bun.  It was good...Culvered has a good grilled chicken!!!

I came home and had my banana, peanut butter, chocolate chip treat....since I didn't have ice cream.  It hit the spot.  It was tasty.

Well today is my busy day at work.  Which is good the day will fly by.  I will come home and workout...eat my yummy crockpot dinner and relax.  That's my day.

Well see you all later...I gotta go...have a good day.

Hi Randy and Lisa and Peeps,

Randy, I am going to try and ride my bike for transportation as soon as the ice is gone. I was thinking I could get a back-pack and carry my stuff from the store in there. I have an old-fashioned new bike. It is styled after the old bikes with foot brakes. But it is heavy duty made for large people and it cost way too much. My hubby bought it for me years ago for Christmas as a last ditch effort to get me to go bike riding with him. I rode it a bit last summer and felt like I was a kid again when I was on it. It works a whole new set of muscles.

Lisa/Nancy, our church does a financial class 2X per year by Dave Ramsey and Financial Peace University. A couple in their early 20's lead the class. They have a 60 inch screen tv in their home and we watch Dave Ramsey weekly on the TV and then we study with his books. The fact that this couple who are so young can do this is amazing in and of itself. One is working the other is in school and they have over $10K in their savings account and have scant debt (1 small school loan almost paid off) is outstanding. They have been doing the Ramsey principles for 5 years and they are inspirational. Here is his website if you are interested. All the videos are on line as well. We are on lesson 3 this week. I am doing our budget. Ugh..

Today I am working out and cleaning. I was out all weekend and need to clean my floors and get my house in order.

I'm excited because my husband has been riding the exercise bike all weekend. I know the ER last Wednesday terrified him.  He has appointment tonight with my personal trainer as well. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great sunny Monday,

Hugs,

Sharon

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, I will never believe that groundhog ever again.    What is this with all of winter coming in one month?

Randy, please make a good game.  I love games.

Crystal it sounds like you got a lot done.  Go girl!

Lisa, it is great to see you having the opportunity to relax.

Sharon, it is great to have a bicycle to ride.  Just be careful in that traffic.  I am glad your hubby is scared.  I wish Rick would get scared.  He just thinks the doctors are not doing their job to help him.  cool

The kitties are up to their usual tricks.  They keep us on our toes.  Oreo has found another stray to take in.  This drived Rick nuts as he thinks only she should eat the food.  I say if she wants to share, then that is up to her.

Everyone have a great day.  It's the FULL MOON so it should be an interesting day

Good morning!

I don't have too many plans today. I'm going to call a friend and see how she is doing. That's about it. Kay is busy finishing a workshop she is giving at Gardening for Food and Fun this Saturday. Her presentation is on home landscaping and I have to say it's really good. It's in the early afternoon on Saturday at the NIU center in Rockford if any of you want to learns the do's and don'ts. She said there are already 45 people signed up for it. I'm so proud of her!

We're still working on our plans to go to Arkansas in March to help my son move. We have the motels reserved and some plans made. I was going to buy some cleaning stuff here but we'll need to go to the grocery store there anyway so maybe we should get it all at once. He's got a duplex, looks real cute on line.

Hope you all enjoy your week,

Connie

Kay's presentation sounds like something I would love to attend. Does she ever do presentations in Chicago or more south?  I am very into learning how to grow my own food this spring and summer. I also am reading a lot about landscaping as i get ready for the spring. I just cant wait until I can get my hands dirty.

Stay warm my dear one,

Sharon

Hi Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I must not have been paying good attention this morning as I posted on Sunday.

Copied here:

Riley was over all weekend and we got lots of stuff done. We made sugar scrub, honey butter, and a project for her to give to her mom for Amber's birthday. We also made soft pretzels and ham & cheese pretzel bites. We invited a couple of neighbors with kids over so they could make the pretzels into their initials. Yesterday, we got together with the neighbors for an early sushi dinner. I went to be early and caught up on my sleep.

Tonight, I work at the airport then home.

My cat has a spot on his back and now one on his side that he keeps biting at and has now lost the hair and it is bleeding. I guess it is time to take him to the vet for a cone. I have been putting the lotion bar on it hoping to make it less irritating but that does not seem to be working.

I guess Liv is going to the read-through tonight and will see where it all leads. She said that the director didn't even tell her about the read-through or what time, but she heard it from another actor. It does not look too good but I will support her no matter what decision she makes.

That's about it for me!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!
